Two foreign companies have been accused at exposing a worker to asbestos, which has resulted in a lawsuit being filed in the Tyler Division of the Easter District of Texas earlier this month. The federal lawsuit was filed by Robert Plummer and his wife Nadine.
The lawsuit was filed against two companies, including T&N Limited, which is a subsidiary of Federal-Mogul Corporation. The other company named as a defendant was TAF International Limited, and this is a United Kingdom subsidiary of T&N and a foreign corporation formerly known as Turners Asbestos Fibres Limited and Raw Asbestos Distributors Limited.
According to the lawsuit Plummer was exposed to asbestos by the companies, and was given no warning with regards to the dangers of this exposure. It is also claimed that no measures were taken to protect Plummer from the dangers of asbestos exposure.
The plaintiffs are seeking compensation because they claim to have suffered physical pain and mental anguish, loss of consortium, medical expenses, and loss of household services.
