Tommy Croslin, the brother of the woman who is the last person to seeing missing 6-year-old Haleigh Cummings of Satsuma, FL is once again behind bars in Putnam County. Croslin was arrested Thursday on a battery charge for fighting with his father and is being held without bond.
Hank Thomas Croslin Senior (Hank) and his son Hank Thomas Croslin Junior (Tommy) had just finished fighting. Hank was on the porch when we arrived. Tommy was inside the house talking to Sergeant Manning. Neither Hank nor Tommy wanted to admit who started the fight.
Hank stated that he and Tommy were wrestling. Hank refused to write a written statement. Hank was uncooperative and would not provide any additional information.
Tommy looked flushed and his eyes were watery. Tommy stated he had thrown a bag of DVD’s to Hank. Tommy stated Hank got mad and hit Tommy in the head. Tommy stated his left eye was swollen where Hank hit him.
Tommy refused to write a written statement. Tommy kept a hostile posture throughout the investigation and was extremely uncooperative. Tommy continued to try instigating verbal altercations with his father, Hank, and his mother, Lisa Carmen Croslin.
Lisa, Kristina Renee Prevatt were present at the house during the disturbance and so was a 17-year-old white female whose name was redacted from the report.
Lisa stated that Tommy had started the fight. Lisa stated that Tommy had thrown a bag of DVD’s at Hank and Hank got upset. Lisa stated Tommy then hit Hank in the head and they started to fight. Lisa refused to write a written statement.
Three of Tommy’s children were also present during the disturbance.
Just days ago, a judge granted Misty Croslin’s request to remove a restraining order against her brother Tommy following a fight between her then-husband Ronald Cummings and him.
Misty Croslin’s brother Tommy was first arrested this past summer on a gun theft charge at which time during his incarceration he told police he checked on the mobile home of Ronald Cummings where his sister was to be watching his children, Haleigh and Ron Jr. the night of Haleigh’s disappearance. It was that time he stated he banged on the door and got no answer stating to police he believed no one was home. This fed into tips received early in the investigation that Misty had left the home sometime during the night while Ronald Cummings was working at PDM in Palatka, FL.
Tommy was released on a reduced bond under the condition he remained in Putnam County.
A few weeks ago, Tommy Croslin was arrested on drug charges after being found passed out in his car with drugs in the front seat near the place where he had dropped of one of his children to get on the school bus.
The fact that Kristina Rene “Nay Nay” Prevatt and the unidentified white 17-year-old female witness to the fight Thursday morning–widely believed to be Misty Croslin–who were both at the scene has raised the eyebrows of many including Private Investigator William “Cobra” Staubs.
Prevatt has a history of jail time in Putnam County on drug charges and assorted misdemeanors and has admitted to Private Investigator Staubs that she introduced Misty Croslin to a man named Greg Page. Prevatt also admitted to Staubs that she served as Misty’s driver during that weekend of sex and drugs with Page days before little Haleigh Cummings was taken from her home while in Misty’s care the night of February 9, 2009.

Another child kidnapping attempt was made in Orange Park Florida, only a few blocks from the home of Somer Thompson.
It happened this afternoon, Nov. 19, but I can’t get to the article again. Maybe someone can find it and post it.
Meanwhile, I’ll post this article from Orange Park, Fl. It states that the County has experienced a HIGH level of homicides, 7 in 18 days, and the Sheriff is concerned about the investigators’ health. Below is the article link. I’ll keep looking for the other one.

Queenie, thats probably why they fought bcuz Hank just leaned his pilss were taken again. He had just enough medication to smack him over the nuggett and and go outside! LOL
It was probably really a bag of precsription pills from the RX but they told LE it was a bag of CD’s to keep from being busted. What a bunch of losers. LOL

If this is in fact true, why is child services not getting involved. How is it not indicative that his children are in constant danger? Whether he did this after they were on the bus, is irelevant. Maybe the kids were lucky that day, but what about the next time? Children, impaired parents, drugs and jail just dont mix. What is it going to take???
If child services havent been involved, I certainly hope they get out there and conduct a full investigation.

Please add these items to be investigated to the growing list.
1) A parent caught behind the wheel WHILE intoxicated with thier child(ren) in the vehicle are charged with child endangerment. Just because the child(ren) weren’t in the car at the time the officer arrived shouldn’t change the charge. Tommy Croslin WAS intoxicated, was in possesion of illegal narcotics, and admitted he had driven his
CHILD(REN) to that location. Open and shut case!
2)In the event of a domestic violence episode, no matter who it involves, and there are children present and witnessing the violence the agressor or one arrested can be charged with child endangerment. Often times a woman will be told that if she returns to that relationship the children can and will be removed from her care as well. Take heart Lindsey, this could very well happen to you.
Sounds to me like they were wrapping up an all night bender and a fight broke out. I’m sure it was over Oxycodone. Sr either told Jr no her couldn’t have any due to not wanting to share, or even concerns about his already pending charges. Either Jr hit his father or said/screamed something to make Sr “blow up” and hit him first. It might be possible that Sr swung first. I don’t know Sr’s past arrest record and/or history concerning violence.
A couple of months ago I posted on a forum that I thought that one of the initial parts of a Missing Child investigation should be parental drug testing. I got screamed at by a few people about civil rights.
So I’m thinking to myself “You mean to tell me that any random Joe can call a DCF/CPS 800 number and report, annonymously I might add, anybody they want as doing illegal drugs and DCF/CPS is legally obligated to investigate it by comming to your home cup in hand and you MUST comply.
BUT…
A parent DOESN’T have to submit if thier child is reported as MISSING or STOLEN??? Does that make any sense at all???? It doesn’t to me. How many cases now have we watched as it has been confirmed that the parent(s) of a missing/stolen child was using illegal substances? QUite a few! Maybe there needs to be a law enacted on these children’s behalf.
Hollys Gmom - I don’t know all the cases you are thinking of in relatin to your 4:37 am post but in the cases I can think of right off the top of my head - in situations in which one or both parents were drug users the cops already knew that from previous “history” with the parents.
In situations in which there is no indication of drug use, and in which it looks like the parents may or may not be involved in the disappearance or whatever - it should be like any interview or LDT. Good parents who want to help their children will do the LDT and give a test for drugs. If they don’t, LE will find out another way.
I guess I just don’t see the need to ask already grieving parents to pee in a cup when their kid goes missing when (a) the cops will usually know if they’re users and (B) cops can usually tell if someone is high right now.
In the huge group of changes we need, that isn’t not one that I think would be helpful.

I am with Holly’s gmom on this one. In cases where there is strong reason to suspect that one or both parents are using drugs illegally, prescription or otherwise, there should be hair testing done.
I want to know if DCFS is involved With Tommy’s children and if not, why not? This is the second incident with Tommy and violence, there was the prior incident with Tommy found asleep at the wheel at the bus stop.
LE should have called if no one else has and DCFS should have a set and get involved and get these children out of this mess. All of them.
And the Law says…”Hair testing done” when exactly? While LE is trying to interview them right after the child’s been reported missing?
I don’t see how that would help anything.
And even if the test showed positive it may not have anything to do with the child’s disappearance. I don’t understand what you think that would accomplish at that point?

While I agree that any statement by Tommy is highly questionable, why would Putnam County release that statement about the possibility of her not being home? Why wasn’t it considered priviledged information? There was already an open call for ANYONE who had any INFO to come forward. Why release Tommy’s claims? To see if bore fruit?
Yes, take the sample at the initial reporting and interview of missing child’s parents. Just tell them “Sorry to ask this folks but IT IS NOW STANDARD PROCEDURE”. If the parents have a problem with it then they are suspect (at least about drug use). Why wouldn’t a parent be willing to submit one? I know I would, in an instant, no hesitation, no questions asked, “anything else you officers need?” would be the response. There has been a direct correlation, at least lately, between children reported missing and parental drug use. Since this information I hold to be true is being draw into question, I will compile a factual list and repost.
We are willing to submit ourselves to drug testing for: any job application, medical insurance, DCF/CPS investigations and more but it is too much to ask when your child suddenly disappears? Come on! Like I’ve said in the past, at least it could immediately rule out a drug related or revenge senario.

This is a repost of some information I posted in another thread that I think is very pertinent to this investigations and future investigations.

(This would be a big yes to me. The domestic violence and increased drug use is an indication)
- The sudden shaving of facial hair or head hair or the growing of a mustache or beard
(No changes noticed on this one)
- No longer operating their work vehicle for any reason, including reporting it stolen, giving it away or hiding it in a garage
(Big red flag- Red truck that was sold even though it was registered to someone else!)
- A change in the use of alcohol or cigarettes usage, either increase or decrease
(Huge, drastic increase on all listed substances. I can’t say cigarettes with 100% certainty, but almost every video of the Croslins show Misty and others puffing away.)
Do you all think that this is a close enough match for him to be considered THE prime suspect?

Yes, on both of the items you mentioned as well as:
1)Rule out the possibility it was done for monies owed
2) Rule out the possibility it was done for revenge by drug dealer ect.
3) To immediatley let the LE and CPS know that they were acting in a diminished capacity
4) To immediately let LE know they TRUELY have nothing to hide and are not leaving out crutial information because they are afraid they might incrimminate themselves. At a time like that thier usage and habits are secondary to the welfare of the child BUT necessary information to LE in thier investigation.
5) To have verifieable proof of usage IF there is or has been an investigation of parents by DCF/CPS. If they are secretly using, even though being tested weekly, those departments need to know, the sooner the better.
6) To assess, on the spot, the parents honest willingness to aid the investigation. Think like this: A child goes missing, the parent used or uses drugs of any kind at the time of the disappearance or within days prior but are willing to submit a sample and own up to thier usage, would signal that they were being 100% truthfull and most likely NOT the prime suspect.
Those reasons plus possibly more. (The suggestions offered by the poster that prompted this response were: that kids of druggies are even MORE vulnerable to such crimes & that a druggie would be more inclined to sell their child for drugs or something.

I’ve been following all of this from the beginning and hoping against all hope that Haleigh will return safely. In the midst of all of this, I remember Misty saying something about her young life and how “It looks like it’s not going to get much better”. There was such pain in her voice. This family continues to be ripped apart by drugs and all the problems they produce. It funnels down to the children who will, unless something changes drastically, will be saying some day how their life and upbringing was miserable and “It looks like it’s not going to get much better”. And they are the lucky ones…God only knows what happened to Haleigh as the result of all of this. Is she out there settling a drug payment too?
One thing you have to thank the Croslin’s for. Because of their disfunction and multiple arrest stories, they, in their own way, keep Haleigh’s name out there!

Basic Law 101, you only feed the sharks when there is a frenzy, to keep them off your back..
So, you give them just enough to send them off into another world of anti-croslins, and phone issues.
But, you don’t put out the good stuff, you hold the good stuff back, why? because it would send the public into a feeding frenzy that would never be stopped, plus had you released too much, the public would have person or persons quilty before an arrest warrant could even be considered, See they may know the truth, but they have to have evidence to support that knowledge. Tommy told them more, what.. well just like you, I have to wait too. Because all of this could reflect on Haleigh.. Think about it.
Now, for the list that you produced..
1. How many families left the area? - 4
2. How many people were found to have marks, cuts bruises, etc? -0, and with no reports of foul play.
3. How many people stopped working and became just became Idle.. Ron? we don’t know who else became unemployed and Idle.
4. Obsessed with the case and hung around all the time.. Ron, Marty,- Tommy just went out on searches, other than that, normal life..
5. Talks about it or makes phone calls about the case. Think about it>>
6. no one changed their appearance, no one started using alcohol or cigarettes, they were already smoking, some cigarettes some pot..

7. the red flag, the red truck.. well your late on that one, that was a truck that Tommys dad gave him 500.00 not to sell, because it was easier for dad to ride in, due to his injuries, but tommy sold it anyway, and LE was on top of the charts and found it and checked it all out, and its clear.. one red flag down.
Now, if you want to find the other red truck, seen in Knoxville on the 12 and 15th its a Toyota RUV4 cherry red with Florida plates. Find that one and you will have a big Red Flag..
It’s not that people have answers for you out of their imagination, its questions that have been covered time and again, but no one listens.
Remember 1 thing.. Just 1 thing, For Haleigh to be alive, and well and taken care of, it requires Resources (MONEY), transportation, and Families that are willing to put their lives on the edge of a sword!!! And Friends who maintain a silence.. Find that one and your home free..
I just rewatched the April interview of WBG and about the 1: 30 mark he mentions he did talk to misty on the phone that monday and that she was at the hospital bcuz her dad had gotten into a car wreck…then never heard from her again. This video is before the letter about accidental OD so remember and keep that in mind if watching. May be why hes so calm bcuz that revelation was not revealed yet! So that “puts” misty and him in phone contact on that monday.
I also just rewatched naynays video before her jailhouse letter a few months later. I can hear her say that the ” party with mexicans was in Crescent City” and they drove there on the weekend prior to Monday. Just info.
I’m assuming that the party at Chads in the letter would have to have happened that Monday night than if it is in fact true. The question is what time did WBG have the call to Misty at the hospital, what time did she get home, what time did the A/C guy get there and what calls were made just prior to turning off the phone at 8:30. Did her and naynay talk about what time she would pick her up for a party later? Ron did not like naynaythere so may have played a role in why she turned her cellphone off also!
WBG says she was at the Hospital but no where is it reported that Misty ever went to the hospital. WBG also was given a poly by LE so I believe if he passed than they know he was not with Misty after Sunday.
Phone contact on Monday tells me he was TRYING to make more contact with her. Before the media made it sound like a weekend fling and suddenly never spoke again. They were planning to STAY in contact and whatever happened that night made them DROP having contact. Wonder if they are in contact with each other now that she’s divorced? Contact on Monday means they were gonna plan to see each other again eventually and who knows it may have been that night. A poly before the OD’d letter revelation means nothing now at the present. Wonder if he was polyd after the Od’d letter surfaced 4 months later?

I wasn’t trying to say that Tommy Croslin was the only one that fit that profile. Only wanted to see what the answers for him looked like next to the questions. A far as the question about ciggs/alcohol is concerned, it didn’t ask if the person has STARTED using them, it asked:

I added the IMO about the Huge drastic increase. That is only my opinion.
I do see your point about others matching that profile. I only listed Tommy sisnce this article is about him.
Mel22 Also good points and food for thought. WBG might not have played apart in Haleigh’s disappearance, but it might have happened. A LDT is not 100% accurate and I think ALL people mentioned from both sides, Ron to WBG needs new ones since more information has come to light. Maybe we could mandate drug testing for all people about to take a poly. LOL! I am not usually a drug test proponent. Actually I am normally very anti-drug testing, but that to me is trivial stuff. I can see doing it for working on a bridge as peoples lives may be in jepeordy, but not to work at Publix. (I’m using metaphore rather than being specific.)
