Well heres a theory. Joe Pytko signed a sworn affidavit and they even drained a pond ( but the wrong pond) Now Tim Miller and LE have both run out of money to drain the right pond.

All this and just a spat overt some CD’s. I knew there was nothing to this. oh and naynay was her friend and a friend she met from Tommy anyway so I dont understand why she wouldn’y be there. last i knew they didnt have an injuction against each other. Here are my two hypotheses:

1. Haleigh suffered either an accident or an asthma attack, Misty was too afraid to call 911. Haleigh was placed at the dumpster, then later moved by either Misty alone, or Misty w/ accomplice. Remeber: a) Red van with broken headlight and scratch, b) Misty’s “missing” blanket, c) Murphy Creek Conservation Area off of Buffalo Bluff Road

2. Haleigh was at the party, asthma attack, OD, or accident. Was removed by the “mysterious man in black” taken to one of the gazillion ponds in the area

Sorry to say this but from following other cases, bodies decompose quicker in water, then air, and last longer if buried. If she is in the water there would probably be very little to recover, sorry. Misty used to babysit for Amber and thats how she actually met Ron. Amber and Naynay being friends and all, Misty would obviously have become friends also. It wasnt until Misty moved in on her BF that Amber and her had a falling out. Then just before Haleigh went missing they were on good enough terms to go party together but ended up fighting that weekend and had to be broken up. Then on Monday aftewards Haleigh goes missing!

Misty wasn’t with Amber that weekend…Misty ran into to Amber at a party that is when they started to fight and was pulled apart…Misty was with WBG, and NayNay that weekend.

Yeah i know they were friends before but in one of Misty’s interview she said she made a bad choice of who she hung around that weekend…You know like she had learned her lesson kind of thing…My point is Misty didn’t learn a lesson about her choice in friends…It is Misty’s lifestyle not bad choices..Misty fits right in with that crowd she is just like the rest of them..Misty is no victim by no means!!!

When kids fail to go to school, school officials are responsible to confront the situation and turn over to child protective services. If they don’t they too have failed. You can’t blame a 5th or 6th grader if they aren’t in school, adults are at fault there.

thats what i just said. and the adults are her parents not the school district. a school district is not an adult and have 29 out of a class of 30 who they are responsible, not one selfish brat who wants to stay home and have fun and play hookey

mel22, I guess you just want to argue. It is the school personnel’s responsibility to warn the parents and then notify cps if the problem is not resolved. Why do you think many schools have truancy officers?

It has been mentioned many times at many different sites that if a person is expecting to take a polygraph and they are nervous or scared they might fail, they can take a chill pill like a Xanax or Oxy/Roxy and pass with flying colors.
This is one of the reasons why a poly is not admissible in a court of law. If the court doesn’t recognize it as a factual test, why should we?

As ofr Misty’s address being listed as 202 Green Lane there can be at least 3 explainations.
1) They just didn’t change it in the computer since the original police report, possbily an oversight.

2)That is the address Misty gave the officers on scene.

3)They didn’t want to release her new address to the public.

i think everyone else has left fot the night.

some think, it is possible misty went to a party that night haleigh went missing and something at the party happened to haleigh. i have always thought if misty went to a party that night, misty would have to worry about ron getting upset with her. if m.g. and c.s. were right about h.c. missing 1/5 of school that year, i cannot imagine ron approving of misty taking the kids out at night. and ron and misty were already fighting over other issues.

i am thinking it more likely that if misty took the kids out, it was probably in someones car or van. she could have bundled them up warm and left them sleeping in the car/van. intending to keep checking on them or just staying for a short time at the party (maybe to get drugs or see someone.) possible misty gave the kids something like an antihistamine to keep them sleeping the whole time. (then they would not tell daddy - they would not remember anything to tell if they stayed sleeping.)

maybe between the antihistamine or other sedative and the weather haleigh did experience asthma. -sometimes you can get really tight and you don’t look like you are in trouble. it may have been to late when misty realized haleigh was sick. especially if weather conditions, like cold damp are involved. -or haleigh had a bad reaction to medicine while no adult was there. or someone stole her from van. or someone tried to mess with her and she ended up hurt or dead. i hope they would not run the car or van and leave kids in the vehicle. especially an older vehicle - carbon monoxide.

maybe this scenario would explain some of the blanket issues. i don’t know. thinking out loud. what if haleigh did wet her blanket in the vehicle. and they disposed of haleigh, but left blanket in car not realizing. misty finds wet blanket later and brings home to wash in a panic to make it look like haleigh was in bed all night till someone kidnapped her. could explain why sheets and bed did not need washing only blanket. just some thoughts, i don’t remember if this was discussed already. ms. p.

Also, HollysGMom - The way DCF is run - seemingly all over the country - makes no sense to me at all. It’s a “do as little as possible for the kids” agency. I know they are underfunded and understaffed but the rules and the laws that govern them ALSO hogtie them.
There really is no protection for the kids.
Kids have no rights.

Yes fundamentally it’s the parents’ responsibility.But the reason schools and DCF were created was to step in when the parents are - well like Misty’s parents. I guess “horribly neglectful” would be the nicest way to describe them.
But often it comes down to passing the buck.
The school notifies, the parents, who do nothing, so the school notifies DCF who pays the parents a visit, then a while later MAYBE the school notices Misty still isn’t in school and MAYBE they call DCF again who assures them “oh yes, we’ve talked to them. We’ll call them again,” And then it gets dropped because DCF gets a kid whose been beaten and burned by his parents. So Misty falls thru the cracks.
And that could happen if IF Misty’s parents had even tried to get her to go back to school. Both of them are too ‘out of it” to deal with a rebellious kid anyway.
So IMO that’s how it often happens and I don’t have the answer for it - ankle monitor in fifth grade, school bus with bars on it? A different school (juvie?) where kids just learn how to be criminals faster? IDK.

How about group homes for the kids and mandatory sterilization for the parents?

this a.m. i looked up info on having seizures. a.h. said lindsey in hospital for seizures. (argument may have been about picking lindsey up from hospital per chelsea.)

i only know one person with seizures. so surprised to hear crystal, lindsey, and possibly snodgrass’s girlfriend seizures and his exwife may have seizures. (per misty on cobra tape.)

And Ms. Peridot, it’s possible that Misty has learning probs but even at the early age her grandmother was talking about Misty could have just fallen behind. The gma (if it’s the same interview I’m thinking of) said Misty had already missed a lot of school.
And with her as well as other children like you said, ms P, there can be other factors - in poor homes with GOOD parents, if you are worried about where the next meal is coming from or your family is sleeping in the car, then there are other worries besides helping the child with school work. And in homes with bad parents, you have kids who got no sleep, no food, were beaten, ignored, etc.
So schools should be the first line of “defense” so to speak on childrens’ behalf and I thought there were programs in place to help but apparently there are not enough or the people in charge don’t bother doing a thorough job.

That’s the question. If only the ways and means could be designed and paid for that would give each child individual attention.

It’s possible that Misty was allowed to miss so much school that it was always frustrating for her to go because of course she’d be behind. If she’s attended every day and had a parent who helped her do her homework (or saw that she did it) she might have been a pretty good student.
And I’m not sure that children’s attitudes towards school reflect those of their parents. As others have said some kids manage to make it in spite of their parents.

As far as what’s a school to do when the money for after school care and/or tutoring went for metal detectors, well - IF we all are SO concerned about kids then we’d insist more of our tax dollars go to helping them in every way we can think of. More and better DCF services, help for families, day care and tutoring. Schools are HUGE wastes of space and resources when not used for those things. Intelligent people should be able to figure out a way to make that work.

But the public doesn’t vote for that. The public has to get in an uproar about a kid taking an aspirin at school - kid gets expelled. Ridiculous. I could go on and on but basically I have not seen anything done to actually help our children at school in decades.

And remember Polly - “academics” aren’t the ONLY thing or even the most important thing.
Kids are made to feel stupid and told they’ll be failures in life if they aren’t smart in that way. What about our artists, musicians, designers, chefs, mechanics (thank God for them! ) but schools ignore all that. Again, ridiculous.

The responsibility of the parent begins before birth. The responsibility of the State begins after the parent(s) is/are proven to be unfit. And IMO any parent that is caught by the police nodded off at hhis child’s bus stop, with drugs and drug paraphanalia in the car is a clear danger to his/her child. Any parent that is cohercing their offspring to help them rob someone is unfit. Any parent that does not make their child go to school is unfit. Why would you NOT want your child to go to school, to grow mentally, to prepare themselves for a life separate from you? Hank and Lisa Croslin are pitiful excuses for humanity. But Tommy and Misty are old enough to know people DO live better lives, and they are aware of what it would take from them to break free of the molds they have been cast in. Children have come from much worse backgrounds and have had successful, arrest free lives. Good morning everyone. Good to see you all. When Haleigh went missing Ron was in court for contempt for complying with Haleighs school attendance this was the reason Crystal said Ron told her she could not pick up the kids that Friday because Haleigh had to be in school or he would go to jail. I wondered why she could not pick them up after 3:30pm and still take them for the week-end instead of not at all. Crystal said Ron said no and did not let her speak to Haleigh. That there shows us that the school district there does react. If you are all interested you can view Haleighs school attendance on Arts site. It is under the title Do exclusisive pics of Haleigh Cummings show abuse. I just google copy of Haleigh Cummings school attendance record it is much faster. It does show that even before Ron started dating Misty at the end of Sept 08 Haleigh was already missing alot of school days that were unexcused. Unexcused absences are unnecessary. All someone has to do is call the school to let them know they will not be there that day or write a written excuse and they have an excused absence. Now after 15 days you must have a doctors note for all missed days to have an excused absence.
Parents have sole responsibilty to make sure there children are in school. I know if a child in higher grades go to some classes and miss one out of the seven classes the school call with an automation to let you know how many classes they have missed. If you do not call your child out for being ill the school will call you. That is how it is here in Daytona Beach, Fl. I believe the state gets involved when the parents fail to take responsibility.

After age 10 it’s extremely difficult to rehabilitate a child’s attitude, but it can be done. How close is Misty to aging out of the system? Not that it would do much good now anyway, she’s an emancipated minor.

There are people willing to help Misty change the direction of her life, but she has to meet them half-way. The first thing she needs to do is tell everything and face the consequences for her involvement.

Hey everyone, This pity party for Misty should have happened 5 years ago. Now she is old enough to get off her a.z and get a GED we know she can read and write. We all know she knows how to use a computer, she could get a GED on line. Yes tobias I agree with you, Misty needs to change herself. Like I said there would be people willing to help her get her GED, help her with literacy, but she has to start the process with coming clean and taking the consequences.

And I do get the lifestyle. I see it all around me where I live, ignorance and no motivation to improve, the “Just enough to get by” attitude, people I know addicted to prescription painkillers, working in red-neck bars to support deadbeat grown kids, then whining to me about how their life sucks. Yet they are paying satellite bills to watch NASCAR and feeding their kids Ramen noodles.

i too found it confusing that crystal could not pick kids up for the weekend. maybe they had some logistics timewise going on. or maybe haleigh was not feeling great and he thought she should stay home (if she got sicker, she might miss more school.) i was hoping it was not a case of control or an excuse to keep the kids with him just because he wanted them that weekend.

polly being emancipated could actually help her. she has no money or job. she could qualify for training? of course you are right about the attitude. and she would have to have a support system to eat and live somewhere.

Drug handling is the answer to your question in the last paragraph? But it was probably a rhetorical question. Good for Misty. She’s sitting back at a distance and letting her family reveal their true selves. These kind of people would sell there own daughter/sister down the river to stay out of jail so they can continue to stuff drugs down their throats.

When Summer Thompson went missing and her body was found the police sent out a report saying to look for anyone who is acting suspicious, or extreme. Tommy sold his truck right after Haleigh went missing. Tommy has been arrested or in trouble three times now. Tommy made up some crap about Misty not answering the door to get out of prison (probably). Tommy moved out of town. Tommy picked a fight with Ron in Ron’s own yard, and Ron got arrested????? Tommy gets in fights with his own father. I think it is safe to say that as far as someone acting suspicious or irrational, it would be Tommy Croslin.

One good thing is Tommy cant leave town. He made an agreement at bail last time he was in jail.

But you know what? The law doesn’t even remove kids from homes where they’ve been beaten, burned, scalded, etc. The courts put them right back there. If we can’t get the law to see how wrong that is, I don’t know how to help kids with druggie parents. To me, if a parent hurts a child like that it should be the very last time that parent sees all of his/her children and the parent should have an operation to permanently prevent having any more children (fat chance for the last one but slight chance for the first?)
I don’t understand our “justice system” at all. Kids apparently have NO rights and NO protection especially from their own parents.

My goodness, you all are voicing my exact sentiments, every one of you. (Except first offense drug use ending parental rights. I think it should be 2nd offense, if only because everyone should have at least 1 opportunity to get themselves straight. But that isit, 1 chance! not 5-6 or even more.)

Misty should consider JobCorp. Many disadvantaged young adults have been able to learn valueable trades through this program while being given: free housing, free meals, free education, and paid money to buy personal nessecary items and such. There are also a wide range of choice as to what trade one would like to earn.

Polly, I do not believe Misty was old enough to have the skill set necessary to deal with a man in a new relationship, his two children, AND his ex, the mother of his kids. I think she probably hated Crystal more than we will ever know, and do you know why? Because Crystal was “first”, i.e. she had the first children Ron would ever have, and Misty felt threatened by that. She probably felt like she and any children they might have together would always be second.

Everyone is voicing me exact sentiments this morning. Across the board. From the lack of resources toward helping neglected or abused children, to the Croslins and co huddling together.

I wanted to also offer the suggestion of JobCorp for Misty. Many disadvantaged youth have been able to learn a trade through that program while recieving: free room and board, free meals, free education & earn money for personal needs.

Ron isnt the marrying type, Misty thought he would be but he really only used her as a baby sitter, maid, and bed partner. He did it 2 other times and those girls had his children.If this never happened he would never have married her. She lied to him about being pregnant to get his reaction and boy did that work out bad.( Fight and drug binge weekend).I also believe he didnt want anymore kids to raise.

I just haad to see the answers to the Orange County’s profile of Somer Thompsons murderer answered with Tommy Croslins recent info in black and white. Here it is.

- Leaving the area unexpectedly, even if it seems that they have a good reason
(He was trying to move to another state recently)

- Missing work or other routine engagements particularly on the afternoon or night of the incident
( He didn’t miss work that night as he was not working at that time)

- Unexplained injuries such as cuts, bruises, particularly on the head, arms and hands
(Answers as of yet unknown to me, but surely known to LE)

- An unnatural interest in the Haleigh Cummings investigation and paying close attention to the media
(Not sure how to answer this one since his sister is the last person to have seen Haleigh. However, he did place himself at the scene of the crime)

- Talking about this incident with others
(Same as above)

- An increase in nervousness or irritability
(This would be a big yes to me. The domestic violence and increased drug use is an indication)

- The sudden shaving of facial hair or head hair or the growing of a mustache or beard
(No changes noticed on this one)

- No longer operating their work vehicle for any reason, including reporting it stolen, giving it away or hiding it in a garage
(Big red flag- Red truck that was sold even though it was registered to someone else!)

- A change in the use of alcohol or cigarettes usage, either increase or decrease
(Huge, drastic increase on all listed substances. I can’t say cigarettes with 100% certainty, but almost every video of the Croslins show Misty and others puffing away.)

Do you all think that this is a close enough match for him to be considered THE prime suspect?

I do agree that the preacher and church did not approve of the wedding but it may have just as much to do with:

1) Misty’s age
2) Ron’s reasons for marring her
a)To keep her close by
b)Possibly doing so only to avoid being charged with stat rape.

Hollys Gmom - It’s great to find out all of that if possible. I still don’t understand the purpose. (I don’t mean that in a mean way. I think I may have missed the beginning of that conversation).

One reason I thought of is to show that kids of druggies are even MORE vulnerable to such crimes. Is that along the lines you are thinking of? And/or maybe that a druggie would be more inclined to sell their child for drugs or something?

Hollys Gmom your post at 1:03 is right on the money IMO, it seems that Tommy’s drug use has escalated drastically since Haleigh’s disappearance, or more accurately, since Misty failed the LD and the voice test, he is afraid of something coming out, IMO

And unless LE has alot of evidence that we dont know about they will never get anything to stick in court. Look at the Anthony Case, what amess that is. This case is hard because there is no crime scene, no body, and no real suspect. Find Haliegh.

Yes, on both of the items you mentioned as well as:
1)Rule out the possibility it was done for monies owed

2) Rule out the possibility it was done for revenge by drug dealer ect.

3) To immediatley let the LE and CPS know that they were acting in a diminished capacity

4) To immediately let LE know they TRUELY have nothing to hide and are not leaving out crutial information because they are afraid they might incrimminate themselves. At a time like that thier usage and habits are secondary to the welfare of the child BUT necessary information to LE in thier investigation.

5) To have verifieable proof of usage IF there is or has been an investigation of parents by DCF/CPS. If they are secretly using, even though being tested weekly, those departments need to know, the sooner the better.

6) To assess, on the spot, the parents honest willingness to aid the investigation. Think like this: A child goes missing, the parent used or uses drugs of any kind at the time of the disappearance or within days prior but are willing to submit a sample and own up to thier usage, would signal that they were being 100% truthfull and most likely NOT the prime suspect.

Those reasons plus possibly more.

It is too bad Ron did not have a dog. A dog would have really been helpful in protecting the kids and I noticed in Crystals interveiw with JR. she has a little brown dog he is playing with.

Anne, so far we all are being very responsible in not bringing that topic into other threads. I know, I’ve checked.

wow good catch about the dogs, I never made that connection! I know mine is small but he would bark if someone strange was in the house……so it leads me to believe that it must have been someone who had a small knowledge at least about the family, etc, enough to know for sure they didn’t have an animal that would raise an alarm!

I learn something new about observing and sleuthing every day from people who have been posting diligently about this case from the beginning.

I too see the value of Tobia’s post. I had not yet thought about how that “insider information” could have come into play or the fact that it HAD to be someone who was SURE they did not have one. Does anyone know if the rental manager/property owner forbids pets/dogs? Would that be common knowledge or just a general suppostion due to the fact that more than 80% of landlords forbid them? Fantastic question though!

Hollys Gmom, people who live a high risk life style often NEED a dog in the house, and the bigger the better. And it is my experience that there are alot of people who being so generally contemptuous of the law are equally as contemptuous about their landlord’s rules about no pets, they usually have one anyway.

Of course, with Haleigh having asthma, maybe pets were not recommended in the house anyway, still, that’s another point in favor of someone knowing things about the family an average scum bag lurking in the woods would not know.

I agree Tobias, they want to have an “ironclad” case before the bring arrest them on those charges. Maybe PCSO really are more on top of things then we realize. I hope that its true.

tobias, I think you are right, LE knows who did it. And I think Tommy is close to spilling the beans, could it be that Misty moved back from Tennessee in with her family partly to keep an eye and a restraining hand on Tommy in case he decides to break down? And Nay Nay is there as backup?

tobias, is that really the grandma’s name, Hollar? It tickles my funny bone for some reason. I don’t know that Grandma cared so much about what was going on in Florida as she might have not wanted any trouble from Misty and Misty, having been married AND divorced, probably felt like she didn’t have to abide by any rules. JMO. But yes, Misty is famous for leaving when the going gets tough.

Maybe Mom and Dad want Misty at home and Tommy wants her away from the MH? Fight starts when he tells her to leave.jmo

As far as the LE I had been thinking maybe a neighbor had called but I did not read the full arrest report.

I too am wondering now where Lindsey was at that time of the morning. It doesn’t seem that she was delivering kids to school.

tobias the article I read said Lindsey had suffered two seizures the day before and was in the hospital, it was said that Tommy and Hank were fighting over who was going to pick her up, that’s where she got the call about the fight and the arrest was in the hospital. Sad.

That MH must be bursting at the seams with people. Hank,Lisa,Lindsey,Tommy,3kids,Misty,NayNay and a partridge in a pear tree lol couldnt help it.
9 people ,well now 8 in a MH no wonder they are fighting.

Thank you for that clarification and yes, how sad for Lindsey. it only goes to show how little they all really care for her. Otherwise they would behave themselves under the cicumstances. It’s sad that she had to witness or be present for the arrest in her condition.

You make a very good point. That question really needs to be asked. Why are these women who stand against the Croslins or Snodgrass suddenly being struck down by seizures? Maybe we should some research on posionings that result in seizures. Maybe the seperate Drs haven’t made the conncetion between these two women and thier place within this case.
OMW! I just had a thought race into my head. Could this be a way for Tommy & family to “steal” Lindsey’s children from her? Does she know too much and want to come forward? Could it have been done because they suspect as much? I am now concerned for hersafety as well as others.

I thought the same thing so I did a little digging. It is the jail uniform. Look at the pictures of Tommy in shackles being walked in to questioning when he was locked up. It is actually a one piece blue jumpsuit.

The women get a blue jumpsuit also.

Yes, I do but I guarantee you the average cop nevermind the FBI etc KNOWS on site or within seconds that someone is high. I’m sure that’s one of the first things they look for.

I’m sorry,HGm, I will have to agree to disagree with you on this whole “drug test the parents of missing kids first” idea.

As beat up as I get for supposedly dissing cops I KNOW they would be all over that - with just one look at a parent. If there is even a chance that drugs or liquor or gambling or anything else is present they will find it out without the need for any drug test (they can tell from looking at someone, their home, car, friends, associates, etc).
I just can’t bring myself to say yeah drug test the parent of every missing kid. First it’s not necessary, won’t help anything, and my God, the pain it would add to already agonized people. Time, money and effort would be better spent elsewhere IMO.
Please look at the Shanyia story. LE found out VERY fast exactly what had happened and why.
Drug testing that obvious druggie “mother” would have been completely unnecessary and unhelpful. LE knew already!

I agree with Holly’s that the drug angle needs to be a factor, but like your said LE is looking for that on every call they make, it’s protocol. Watch cops, bad boys bad boys what cha gonna do? When they make that first contact, that’s what they look for.

Poor Babies, things are going to get better, as we learn to snuff out these predators of our children, hunting them down like the prey they did with the Babes.
