Surveys like that are a bit of a fake.
For example, I've worked in hospitals for 40 years at every level from Nurses' aid to attending physician. Five to seven days a week, fifty hours a week.

Among those six million days, what is the chance of seeing an "incident"?

As for blaming new graduates: well, nowadays half are women. You probably had more problems in the "good old days" when 94% of docs were men, and we had a few who thought sleeping with the help was a normal perk of medicine.

We have witnessed a new generation of self absorbed, rude, spoiled kids whose egos can be described as delusions of grandure. The result has been a surreal sense of entitlement, increased crime, lack of work ethic, and inability to maintain healthy, productive relationships in the workforce. It was just a matter of time before the generation started graduating from med school. This lack of compassion, especially in health care is a disaster, and it is frightening to think of the future that is in store for our grandkids.
