It has been a rather quiet week in the search for Haleigh Cummings. But quiet does not mean that there is no movement. It does not take a PHD in rocket science to understand the dynamics at work within the Putnam County Sheriff Office. There have been several notable lulls in activity over the months. PCSO likes to play this case close to their chest. They often do not say much, but inevitably it speaks volumes.
A good case in point is the rather terse Press Release they issued on Haleigh Cummings sixth birthday. That was the fuse that lit a sudden explosion of events.
Were it not for the fact that there is already a hugely popular book series named ‘Where Is Waldo’, I would be tempted to do a ‘where is Misty’, well, Misty apparently is living with her maternal grandmother in Tennessee.
Divorced, and (I am sure) penniless, one wonders what this young lady will do next. Being in the media spotlight at the tender age of 17 is not a great place to be. It is not clear that Misty Croslin had a direct hand in whatever happened to Haleigh Cummings, but, it does seem clear that she knows more than she is willing to share. Just how many Polygraph’s can be screwed up?
We will also be talking about this weeks developments in the Caylee Anthony case, together with what I suspect will be a lively discussion about exactly what is going on in Florida. It seems to have become the Mecca for child abuse, and child abduction. Is the label a fair one? Or are we merely seeing a growing national trend, but targeting only one state?

Added to that, Cobra always ends up breaking off talking about nothing but himself. I don’t tune in to hear about his past excapades or his money woes.
Simon and Jan you guys are doin a great job.I plan on tuning in rumors,gossip,hearsay or whatever….It’s a great show that keeps me comin back.Just like Nancy Grace and others with a voice only can report what’s going on and that’s what they do. I don’t see BNN repoting rumors like other sites.Mistakes do happen and we as bloggers can pass along whatever we want ie.rumors,gossip,hearsay But I haven’t seen Simon jump on every band wagon quoting rumors as the gospel.As for Cobra he is not perfect.It makes me sick to see ones discredit a person bcuz they complain well he’s livin it and he needs to vent. Misty isn’t exactly penniless! She had money to buy drugs last week didn’t she? I feel really sorry for her grandmother in Tennessee if Misty really has moved there. People on drugs do not good houseguests make. People on drugs associate with bad people, wicked people, and grandma may be biting off a bit more than she can chew with this “Mistyrios” grandchild.
Simon, I do not think the polygraph is screwed up it is the person taking the polygraph. I give credit to Tj, Hart, Cobra and Tim Miller they all tried to find where Haleigh is, we need to get Haleigh home and closer to this case. And who ever had anything to do with this punished. I am sure Misty will find some trouble to get into in Tenn, she seem to manage that on her own. There is to many children missing abused or murdered.

Who really cases if she is pennyless? i dont for one i care about haleigh being found. if misty moved to tn maybe she will get a job and learn the right way to live and get on her feet my mom lives in tn and she said there is drugs every where but also people dont deal well with child abusers or rapists or murderers not sayin misty has done something just sayin very possible somethin bout the girl i cant stand i guess the way she was smilin when she was being interviewed @ airport
The sadest thing about the whole case is one child is still missing… and no amount of rehashing the lack of… everything… matters. A precious gift, a child, is missing.

I don’t think Misty will be able to “fly under the radar”. At least not for a long time. Trouble seems to keep finding her (ha!) so we will continue to hear about her antics. Sure wish she would put as much effort into finding Haleigh as she does into everything else. I will continue to pray that the sweet little girl is found.
Misty is living with her Aunt Tina Overstreet who has a very long criminal record with drug charges. She was even busted for covering up her two son’s drug buy one time. This is a family who does drugs together.
Aunt Tina lives with the Mom, Misty’s GrandMa.

I have been reading up on the Somer Thompson case and I have a question for you all….
Do you find it “weird” that on the exact day that Somer goes missing is the same and ONLY day her friend SP was at her house waiting for the kids? Ms Thompson stated in interviews that this was not done usually but happened to have been the case on that particular day. HUH??? There are soooo many red flags…
I’ll list later, as time permits (I miss having an internet connection at home)
Perhaps Cobra wouldn’t be as broke as he is if he hadn’t hired Art Harris to follow him around in the beginning.
I do think Cobra was in this to help Haleigh but that was not his only motive for getting involved.
If he had been more focused on his investigation and put less effort into trying to get footage for his TV show (be the hero) he may have made more of a difference in the case. IMO
A close friend of mine made a comment yesterday, that really fits the bill. There is no handbook of instruction for
“Families, Who’s child goes Missing”. I told my friend, you are so right. Whom do they have to depend on? The Le, The Community, The Church.
Are they prepared for the Controversy’s that come up?
No, they aren’t. All of the people who jump into the case, giving the impression.. We are here to Help.. It does become a strange situation.
Do they pull in a person they have read about on the web, who specializes in Child Molesting, for a Missing Child?
Do, they pull in an Attorney who specializes in Divorce and Child Custody for Media Purposes?
Do they Pull in a Bounty Hunter, aka pi who specializes in criminals hiding from the law.
What did any of these people pulled in, have any knowledge, expertise, for finding a Missing Child?
Automatically, Tim Miller comes into the case, and begans his Search, he has knowledge and expertise, but somehow down the line a personal conflict insue’s and it becomes a problem, and he said.. she said.
What did that have to do with finding a missing child?
A foundation was created to help fund, searches.. Not only for Haleigh gone missing, but for other children as well. This is a Tax-Exempt Foundation, which becomes a public issue. All incoming funds aka donations must be recorded for the Public to gain access to.. Expecially for those who have donated?
Maybe a handbook should be written, and handed to each Parent of a Missing child.

So, it seems to me.. that anyone who knows a Truth, and openly speaks that truth, is protected by the First Amendment. Those who oppose and disagree, have the right to do so, but not to mock, threaten or abuse those who do come forth with The Truth. When Action is taken to hush these people or to intimidate them, this is a violation of peoples Civil Rights. Just Bottom Line!!!! The Laws were written to protect all citizens, not just a select few…
I won’t be listening in. Just my opinion, but your station, along with TJ Hart have lost a lot of credibility and respect, due to your ongoing associations with ‘Cobra’ William Staubs.
Seclusive: All I ask is that you not paint TJ Hart with the same brush just for being on the same radio show as Staubs. You are entitled to your opinion about Staubs of course but please don’t judge others on account of it.
Some of us want to hear what TJ has to say - even though it’s often difficult for him to get a word in edgewise. (Simon, I appreciate that you try to help him have the chance to speak!) And I hope TJ does not become discouraged enough to stop participating in the program. I appreciate all the work he’s done on this case.
When a child comes up missing, the family can help themselves the most by being honest. Honesty doesn’t require A Handbook. That means transparency when communicating with law enforcement. And the best way to never have to face “controversy” is (big shock here) live your life as if you live in a glass house. People who have nothing to hide, hide nothing. If you have children and you’re doing drugs, engaging in shady business practices and criminal enterprises, are an alcoholic or a deadbeat, then (hello!) straighten up your act.
Tim Miller has every right in the world to be FURIOUS with the Anthonys and Haleigh Cummings family. His organization relies on DONATIONS to do important work. When the family of a missing child lies and obstructs efforts to find that child, they are STEALING from the precious resources of volunteers across this entire country.
Even in the Elizabeth Smart kidnapping case, her family acted squirrely from Day One. They refused to let LE speak to Elizabeth’s younger sister, who was IN the same bedroom and who apparently waited an absurd 2 hours before alerting anyone to Elizabeth’s abduction. Worse still, instead of treating their home as the crime scene that it was, they had friends and family members traipsing in and out of the house before LE even arrived.
Here’s more “clues” for the parents and family members of missing/abducted/murdered children:
DON’T walk around in rapper-wannabee pants that you have to hike up around your butt with every other step you take.
DON’T marry the person who was supposed to be taking care of your child when the abduction occurred.
If YOU are the main suspect, and you’re innocent, do everything in your power to cooperate with LE. (If you’re guilty, we’ll figure it out soon enough.)
If people like Tim Miller want to help you search for your child, don’t turn them away by denying the very real possibility that your child is dead. (”Waa-waa, he’s searching for a DEAD Caylee! We think she’s still alive, so go away!”)
The “media” has plenty of situations to cover; they don’t need to go looking for more drama. The ONLY sensational aspect of a missing child that reporters are looking for is the return of the child ALIVE and the capture of the perp. Family members who believe they have been treated unfairly by the media have no one to blame but themselves. And the ONLY reason that Haleigh Cummings has been missing for over 8 months is because Misty Croslin is a liar and possibly a child murderer.

Did you really say “reporters?” The more sleaze/drama/controversy etc. the better, my dear. THAT’s what keeps the missing child in the news. Poor little Adji didn’t have any of that. And he’s been forgotten. The people closest to the child in Caylee’s case and Haleigh’s case have provided enough sensationalism to outdo any daytime TV soap opera. So they dominate the news.
It isn’t difficult to see who is behind the lies and why. Sad to say, but from what little I know, seems to me, the very ones who started the search for Haleigh, are the ones trying to cover it all up. Dead….yeah right! Go get HaLeigh, bring her home and stop this charade!

Marrigan, you comment reminds me of times, during a sexual assault trial that an attorney would stand up and make an accusation that the girl would be the one to cause such a crime as per the way that she dressed. That had she dressed differently that the person who assaulted her would never have looked at her to be his victim. Or that she had been intimate prior to the assualt. Since you were not involved in the family activities any more than I when the marriage was decided, we can only speculate the reasons, True? As far as the age of Misty.. well guys, my Mother married when she was 15.. I married when I was 17.. What occurred the night Haleigh went missing, I surely do not know, and only one person does and she isn’t telling, if PCSO hasn’t gotten the info, the rest has to be deemed speculation.
And bottom line, what does any of this have to do with Haleigh gone missing?? Nothing..

It’s time for a certain side of the family to tell the truth without being paid lots of money.
Haleigh isn’t yours and when you are found out you will never see her again as well as your own kids and other grand kids.
It’s too late to turn back the clock to Feb. 10 and you can’t take back what you did, but it’s time for her to come home to her family. It’s time for justice for Haleigh and her family that you have all but destroyed.
I have put together some clues below and come up with a very plausible theory that involves the croslin van — The below is video news proof direct from misty and her sister related to this van.

OK.. Here are my thoughts..
-Misty met with someone that night — at least 2 people (them).. after 8,
when the kids were asleep
-They came in a van that belongs to Misty’s family
-She did drugs/drank that nigh — maybe not certain — maybe a light drug,
because she was with kids
-She was so tired from the partying or had done drugs that she passed
out/slept.
-She was in a deep sleep/passed out and didn’t hear anything when the guy was banging on the door
-They either came back after she slept and took halleigh in the van
-The scratch on the van are from a wooded area
-The driver of the van is known to Misty. The other person(s) are not known.. It could be though her cousin “joe” Who misty doesn’t trust and maybe the logical choice in taking the Croslin’s family van…
I have not seen anyone put these clues together in the news…The police
must have this idea as I pieced it together from Canada. Maybe this can be
used to put pressure on Misty and the family member that Chelsea says took
the van that night

Misty supposedly has moved in with her maternal grandma in Tennessee, and her aunt, with last name OVERSTREET, alao lives with her grandma.
If I’m not mistaken, JOE, whom Misty has pointed a finger at, has a surname OVERSTREET.
If so, I wonder if the JOE OVERSTREET is living in the grandma’s home with Misty, and her aunt who has the last name OVERSTREET.

DaveC, I hate to be the one to tell you this, but Le grabbed that van up, hauled it in and dna’d it coming and going.. But found absolutely nothing that related to Haleigh gone missing. Now, you do realize that after the letters from Nay Nay that were released from Jail.. they also grabbed Nay Nay’s care and they did the csi business on that one too, of course cobra has infomed all of us that they would never get passed the blue stuff that amber poured into the back of the trunk.. but, Le never commented on that.. But, I do believe that if she poured this stuff on the carpet of the trunk. Hey, they would just rip it out, and then start testing the back side of the carpet and the area below it.. If there was anything there.. they would have found it.. So, now we’ve covered both.. The croslin van and Nay Nay’s Car. I do think it’s odd, that when people have committed crimes and repainted walls, and used bleach to destroy the evidence, it doesn’t work.. they have special things they use.. We are in a Scientific World..
The POINT, Mlee, is that Misty pointed her finger at Joe Overstreet, but may now be living with him!

There was a male friend that stayed there at Diena Thompson’s house to be there when the cildren came home, that day. When Somer didn’t come home with the other kids, he let Diena know. She came home from work and started to search for her at about 4:00p.m. She flagged down a police officer, Between 5:00 and 5:30p.m.

I don’t think so. I think that is her boyfriend. I have heard several different stories, but I believe the one that was at the house when the kids came home was just a friend.

I am not sure, if anyone is there when they arrive home, everyday. Of course, the oldest boy is 13 or 14, so he may be in charge of them until Diena comes home.
Wow, just read the last news report on the incident.. Seems that Papa Croslin came to the location of the arrest, and made the statement. The Meds were stolen from the House the night prior… hmmmm. So, its a set deal that Dad wasn’t the OD.. In fact there when Tommy was found lying in the van, seems like that was a medical call, which they only had to Wake Tommy up.. So, that’s it in a nutshell.
