The radio show will be running live at 1pm central, 2pm eastern. We are expecting to have an interesting talk radio show. Everyone has heard of the term Bail Bond, and as a result of the A&E channel everyone has heard the term Bounty Hunter. But what do they really mean? Maybe more importantly, should we care?
Well, yes, we should care, and we should care a great deal.
We have this ‘movie’ image of the Bounty Hunter kicking in doors, wielding large weapons, and generally being someone that you would not welcome into your home. But is this Hollywood view an accurate one? Probably not, is the simple answer.
The industry is so mired in myth and bad legislation that neither the Bail Bondsman or Bounty Hunter has a clear picture from Law Enforcement as to what the parameters are. Even worse, LE changes the rules more often than the NFL, the rules seem to fit the moment, rather than the industry.
Tomorrows radio segment should be illuminating. I have heard that a number of folks in the industry will be dialing in. I am also hoping that many listeners will call in, this is the one chance to peek under the skirts of an industry that few people understand.

Would-be bounty hunters nab innocent woman in Va.
BRISTOL, Va. — Police in Virginia say three would-be bounty hunters face charges after they impersonated drug task force agents and nabbed the wrong woman.
The innocent woman was mistaken for a suspect who had skipped bond. Bristol police say three people who hoped to collect a reward from a bail bondsman handcuffed the woman and sexually assaulted her during a strip search Oct. 9.
Sgt. Steven Crawford says the three face charges of abduction, robbery, impersonating a law enforcement officer, conspiracy and sexual battery.
Two of the suspects have been arrested, and police are searching for the third. A fourth person has been charged as an accessory.
The innocent woman caught by the suspects was taken to a lockup but let go when jailers quickly realized she wasn’t the person wanted for skipping bond.

NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - A bounty hunter in Noble Co. helped police catch two wanted suspects Thursday morning.
Police say they received a call from Joseph Burdsall, saying he had Kayla Sturtevant and Jason Wallen in a Wolcottville apartment. But before police arrived, a car picked up the suspects and started heading southbound on S.R. 9.
Burdsall followed the car, and eventually caught Sturtevant. Police used a K9 unit to track Wallen, but eventually lost him.
Officers found a methamphetamine lab in a back pack the suspects put in the car when they were picked up.
Sturtevant and Wallen will be facing drug charges in Noble. Co.
