PCSO do not share a great deal of information with the press. And that is not such a bad thing. It is frustrating at times, and at times we get grumpy with them, and I am sure (know) that they get grumpy with us.

But I do know that every tip is looked at and evaluated, every tip that has merit is investigated.

I really can’t say much tonight,as if Haleigh’s story wasn’t bad enough,the story of Somer just broke my heart,then I read about a 18th month old little girl that a 56yr. old man or so,having sexual relation with her.Have been sick of heart and my stomach.What has happen to people to make them so crazy and mean?I can’t stop crying.My self I have come to love Haleigh and have never met her.But am so scared to know what happen to her.I wish there was something that could be done to stop all this crazy stuff from happening.

I do not believe that Haleigh is alive. It has been over 8 months since she went missing. She had a history of medical problems which required doctors’ appointments and had a history of ER visits. Haleigh’s case has received national attention. As a result, I feel that a medical professional would have recognized her if she came in for medical treatment. She has two distinct birthmarks – on her face and her back. With her medical problems, I can not imagine her going 8 months without treatment.

LE has stated they feel this is not a “stranger” abduction. I think it was irresponsible for Ronald to leave his two children in the care of a 16 year old girl who apparently had (at the time) a drug problem. According to media reports, she was on a 3 day drug and sex “bender” just prior to Haleigh’s “disappearance”.

Misty was probably in a desperate need of drugs that night. Just depends if she had a drug addiction. Desperate people on drugs do irresponsible things and make bad decisions and/or choices for that next “fix”.

Also, she has a sixth grade education. Although she was 16, at the time, I wonder what her level of maturity was. I do feel she is street smart but I certainly would not entrust two small children to her care. Jr. (Butter Bean) did not go to school. I assume she took care of him when Haleigh was in school. If so, she had the responsibility of at least one child 24/7 and then 2 when Haleigh came home from school. I think she was “over her head” with the situation!

Depending on her illegal drug history, she might have a “black out” from the drugs and can not remember what happened. Some illegal drugs or long term use can fry the brain! Misty may have no recall! If this is a possibility, it is really sad and tragic.

Ronald is ultimately responsible because he had legal custody of Haleigh. It was his responsibility to ensure that his children were safe and being cared for by an adult and not a 16 year old cigarette chain smoking, druggie with a 6th grade education. Why weren’t his children in day care or being cared for by a responsible adult? In the videos I have seen, Ron and Misty are frequently smoking (except for formal TV appearances). I assume they did that in their home. I would think all that smoke would have really affected Haleigh’s health. Ron mentioned she had asthma. Cigarette smoke and asthma do not mix.

All of the aforementioned is just my opinion!

i wish there was a basic fact sheet about sex predators to educate us all. something that is brief and to the point and includes where to find further information. it could be like an awareness letter of concern to pass around. we could e-mail and print it up our selves to give to everyone we know. put on the letter to please not throw out but pass it along to everyone they know. maybe even print up themselves and pass on like a chain letter. so the more people know about the problem or danger, the better the chance of changing how we deal with the predators in our society. hopefully for the better.

law shrink i thought you mentioned having info to pass out about child safety. do you know where we could get basic fact sheets on child safety, predators in our communities, and maybe a fact sheet on symptoms of child abuse. something that would be legal for us to pass around to say churches, doctors offices, hair salon’s, and/or at least to our family and friends.

it stuck in my mind, about lawshrink saying the difference between offenders and predators. maybe many of us don’t really understand who predators are.

You could be onto something. Not goofy at all. I was thinking about that myself. The problem is so many parents think they are doing the best they can. They do need our help. It is not like the good ole days when Dad went to work and Mom stayed home and took care of the kids.

In some states when a couple with children file for divorce they must complete a parenting program before the divorce is granted. What if before a mother was allowed to take a baby home from the hospital she had to be given information on child safety?

The information could include things like how to find out if a sex offender lives near you, how to teach your child a code word to use in case someone tells them your mommy has sent me to pick you up, etc.

Education needs to start from day one. Then the state needs to continue from the first day of Kindergarten with continuing education each year until they graduate from high school.

It’s no guarantee, but it’s a start. We need to empower our children. Teach them early on how to recognize warning signs and defend themselves. So much can be done.

Many times in my career I have had to attend annual mandatory inservices. I think yeah, yeah, yeah what a waste of time I already know this stuff. But, I always end up learning something new.

You would be surprised how many college educated people I work with have no idea they can use the internet to find out if sex offenders live near them.

1) They get the “urge” and start looking for a victim.
2) They look for someone who looks like easy prey.
A) Walks alone
B) Very friendly to people in general, Children who look at passers by
C) Longer hair, easy to grab and control a child by there hair.
D) Small in stature
E) Mostly low in social wealth
3) They will “case” a home / area
A) What time people are in what rooms
B) How often you lock your doors
C) Where each person sleeps it the house by when they leave one room and then when a light goes on in another room
D) Time they go to sleep
E) What type of locks you have on your doors. They can find a “Key alike” by the model number and style.
F) Often times when people change locks they throughout the box in the garbage, anyone who gets that box can get a key made to fit that lock .
G) The watch traffic to see when there is less
H) They watch the victim to see their personality, what they where (special children with favorite Disney characters’ they were on their clothing)
4) They watch the caregivers and how they act toward a child.
A) Do they allow a child to play alone unsupervised
B) Do they allow a child to walk to the store, school, and friend’s house by themselves?
C) Do they make sure a child is dressed well
D) The life style and parenting skills are the questionable.
5) They are know not bothering with “come and see the puppies I have” They are now just, what is called “snatch and grab” they pull a car alongside a child jump out cover their mouth with rag, and throw them in the car, and take off. This makes it very hard for parents to help children stay safe because they don’t have a chances.
In addition, I just wanted to add, they love to watch the aftermath that to them is just as good as the child abduction. When they can see how much they have hurt even more people they are in their glory.

Just so all of you are clear on one FACT, A sexual predator would never, ever, turn on a light in a home they were snatching a child out of.

I remember ron saying he saw a light on in a trailer no one was living in! In the trailer park he lived in after Haleigh went missing and then the dogs hit on that dumpster! They said there is a house that no one lives in on somers way home, and where did they find her body? How far is it to where Haleigh lived?Sounds like theses monsiters have found a way to discord our most precious in tons of trash! PRAYING FOR HALEIGH!!!

Thanks for the tips. I just bought a new deadbolt yesterday, and will make sure I shred its box.

Outrageous that children in that area are left to walk so far to and from school, especially when there are so many sexual predators living in the area.

Time for cameras on every street, GPS implants, emergency alarms children can carry with them.

Ronald Cummings should be held accountable for his child’s disappearance (child endangerment). He should also be charged with sex with a minor (or whatever it’s called). These are crimes that anyone else would have been arrested for.

There was a young girl living here in the town where i live, she was not married teen her baby went missing!
Her mother, knew she had done something with the baby because she said her daughter did not want the baby, the mother kept the pressure on her untill she finally gave up and told her mother she had put her in the trash can!
Her mother told the police, but it was to late, they said they would never be able to find her under tons and tons of trash and garbage!
The mother and the rest of the family loved the baby it hurt her family very bad and now she sets in jail thinking about what she did to her on child!
Thank GOD for the mother in this situation because they would have never knew the truth! At first she told them she gave her away!If the police had not followed the garbage trucks they would have never found the body of this child! Thank God!

There are GPS units that cost only around $119.00 you can put on your children’s shoes, or on a necklace. You can set them to go off and text you, or phone you, or email you if your child goes out of the area you set up. Also the can pull them and they make a really load alarm!

It is about 30 miles or so from Haleigh’s home to Somer’s home. There is a road, Hwy 17, which almost directly links them both.

working1 – That’s interesting! I thought what Linda was pointing out was that in both cases there are vacant homes which could have been used by the perp (to watch kids from, to take them to at some point).

That may have been the reason misty did not tell ron that she left the home that night! Because if she left that door unlocked someone could have came in and waited!
And they could have left the area with Haleigh, her body could have been put in a dumpster hundreds of miles away!
Who ever killed somer must have knew when the garbage trucks ran? Not meaning they are even from the area, may have called garbage comany to find out when it ran?

They do not follow up on all tips, especially sighting. In a PR released last week PCSO stated they checked the tips in Georgia and South Carolina. They also stated they look at a video and it was not Haleigh. They never checked with those business’s! They never requested a video from them. This , I know!

HaLeigh has been gone for over eight months. Would you or someone tell me what they have done.

Becca1 – What you are stating was “reported” on a blog that I will not name but which is one of the most misleading (yellow journalism) sites I’ve ever seen.
The kind of “reporting” done there – if it’s not a flat out lie – goes something like this:
PERHAPS PCSO did not directly contact those businesses or request the tape (I don’t know) BUT what that site would not tell you is whether PCSO asked the LOCAL LE to look into it for them!

That way the “report” isn’t exactly a lie but it isn’t the truth either.

That’s just one example but I’ve seen others there that I KNOW were misleading. I don’t know why he does that other than to get attention and to be as sensational as possible. If that guy said the sky was blue I’d look up before I believed him.

HollysGmom, I agree with you, there are a segment of posters who are on the Poor Misty train. Sending moneys and being there to talk to poor misty and fill her in on anything she might need or not need to know but told anyway. With this new segment, along with Misty’s name resembling a major comet, and a new list of names attached somewhat resembling the tail of a comet, we have to wonder where that Comet is directed or should I say Whom is the Comet directed at.. I would like to state that 95% of all cases I of Had with S.O., they had been “cleared” by L.E. in the beginning of the case and then years later had been found to be 100% guilty of that same crime they at first had been “Cleared”. They do not completely investigate them in my opinion

I just read that Clay Co. has no sex offender suspects in a 5-mile radius around Somer’s home.

Maybe they need to do a 35-mile radius down to Satsuma Chapter of SO’s.

100,000 S.O. have fallen off the radar in the United States. They could be anywhere.

The policewoman asked me about the address of the trailer Donald Lee Sapp was remodeling back when Haleigh went missing, but I didn’t know and said it was in the same trailer park where Haleigh lived, and I thought her street was Green, so it would be back in there. She asked me if it was “Reynolds Cove” or something and I didn’t know.

But the thing is, she did ask all of those questions, so that is encouraging. She seemed interested in the fact that Sapp was in Putnam Co. jail now.

Palatka is a small rural city; Orange Park is much larger and be a place to find work.

Many S.O. Do abduct in their own neighborhood.
However, they do not turn on lights when they enter a home to abduct a child.

YES,YES,YES, They love to hang out together and feed each other their vivid tales of…. Moreover, often but not always go “hunting” together. They escalate in their crime more this way.

I really do not know what happened to this beautiful little girl.
I am starting to think they have Haleigh hidden out somewhere. Ron always seems like he is talking to someone specific and tells Haleigh if she is watching that he loves her. Teresa always seems very adamant that haleigh is alive. I know noone should lose hope and maybe this is what it is. I know that there were 4 eye witnesses to the fact it was Misty that picked up Haleigh from the bus stop on the 9th of Feb. Three parents from the bus stop and the bus driver. Teresa, Ron and Misty all say it was Ron himself that picked up Haleigh that day. Someone is lying here and I believe it is Ron and family.
What would be Rons motive I do not know, but if they did hurt Haleigh either way I pray they get caught and crucified.
In Mistys voice layered analysis she feels Haleigh is alive, but gives info that she is deceased meaning the fake red rose discovered in the last search by the mh in which they lived at the time.
Where was Rons anger with Misty in the 911 call to the fact she had her phone off all night and he had been trying to reach her. When someones emotions are running high he would of been out raged at her for this , not just calling her his dumb b..ch girlfriend and How you let my daughter get stole you B..ch!! I feel he would of been more angered of not being able to reach her. Lets not mention the fact that he called Mistys brother, instead of his mom Teresa Neves to go and check on his children and Misty. Then you have a 17 year old who gets up and sees a light she said she knows was off and a door propped open and she runs to get her phone to call Ron to see if he came home and notices Haleigh missing. She should of been dialing 911 not Ron or anyone else due to the fact the intruder could still be in the home! Misty stands in the door way and waits til Ron gets out of his car and asks her why she is up to tell him what happened! Why stand out in the open if someone came into your home and stole a child and not run to him in sheer fear when she saw him arriving? LE asks all kind of questions and your reaction to what happened. I believe LE have some kind of evidence leading them to the fact this was no stranger abduction. I am not saying not to look at Donald Sapp due to the fact he was not considered to be a stranger to Haleigh. Haleigh knew him. This case is truely twisted!!

Maybe the man in black took Haleigh from ANOTHER house, if so this dovetails nicely with the Nay-nay letter.

mariesilk, please don’t take this the wrong way, but the problem is no one is sure what happenned that night. All we know for sure is that what Misty said happenned does not match the evidence law enforcement collected.

yes, & someone has to prove she left the children unattended ,so no-one is coming forward , so it looks like she is cleared for that alligation ,

mc, but we also don’t know what evidence supposedly contradicts her story either. Is it simply that there are no signs of forced entry or is it something more concrete? We don’t know. The more time passes the more I doubt she did it. Her and Tommy smoking a joint earlier could be another factor to her sleeping through an abduction.

There are plenty of things that are suspicious about her, but some of the things that people spend time analyzing, like trying to call Ron before 911, just seem like a waste of time.

It would be more productive to not the timing of that night. Isn’t it strangely coincidental that Misty would awaken and find Haleigh gone moments before Ron is due home? that is the type of detail that gets me thinking. JMO

One more thing that bothers me: what time did Ron have to be at work? Most plants that have 3 shifts have a schedule like 1st shift 7:00am-3:00pm, 2nd shift, 3:00pm-11:00pm, 3rd shift 11:00pm-7:00 am.

You might want to find out why the version of events portrayed in the re-enactment by actors playing Misty and Ron differs from the story those two have told to date.

Who changed the story? The people who wrote the re-enactment, the people who directed the actors, or Ron/Teresa?

JACKSONVILLE, FL — A man that worked on the renovation of the house at 1080 Gano Ave., where 7-year-old murder victim Somer Thompson was last seen alive, is a registered sex offender.

Vinson Design and Build is the construction company that was working on the Orange Park home, which has been vacant since a fire several months, according to Clay County public records.

James Vinson owns the company. Vinson’s brother, George Vinson, who works for the company, is a registered sexual offender, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement sexual offender website.

The Gano house is the last place witnesses saw Somer Thompson, who vanished Monday on her way home from school. Police found the first-grader’s body Wednesday in a Georgia landfill; the manner and cause of death have not been released.

According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, as of this afternoon, there were no suspects in the case.

The Vinsons’ sister Alissa Barrs, who lives at the same address in Mandarin as George Vinson, said her brothers have been questioned by police. She said on Friday afternoon that George Vinson, 33, worked at the Gano home about two months ago, but then found other work.

James Vinson and his business partner were interrogated for hours by detectives on Thursday, she said, and George Vinson was being questioned Friday.

working1 – What stumps me is how LE can “clear” a bunch of SOs so fast! How do they do that?
I have a lot of confidence in Clay County LE – since they were smart enough to follow those trash trucks. So they must know what they’re doing as far as checking SOs. Is there a system? Are they all on ankle monitors? They all had corroborated rock solid alibis? If I knew how this “checking/clearing” was done, maybe I’d have more confidence in it.
And of course it does not eliminate the SOs who haven’t been caught yet or any that are passing thru the area and are now long gone.

To stage a scene I think it’s very possible that a woman could and would tote a cinder block. Cinder blocks are not that heavy and besides how would a mysterious stranger know of their existence or whereabouts in the middle of the night?

I just looked this guy up – he has only 1 offense and it was in 1995. He was born in 1975, so he was 20. He is accused of “lewd and lascivious act” with an under 16-year-old, so it could just be girl friend under age thing. So it was 14 years ago.

Polly, I’m afraid that we can’t clear that up. If one person said Misty did and another person said Ron did then all we can do is choose who to believe.
I’m not really sure that’s a key aspect of the case, though.

When I think about a scenario for “what if” Misty did it when Ron was not there – whether it was accident or on purpose – I wonder (1) how/where did she so successfully get rid of the body? (2) Did she do that alone? (3) Did she have help? (4) If she had help why wouldn’t that person come up with a story for a “tip” about the body that would get them the reward?
(5) How could she keep that from Ron for so long?

My biggest question is really # 1.

Polly – I’m not disagreeing with you about the cinderblock but another blogger who knows about how SOs operate (LawShrink) said that they often stake out, watch a potential victim and know A LOT about their habits, home, caregivers, etc. So someone could have planned this and just waited for the right opportunity. (But I agree. Seems like something easier than a cinderblock could have been used.)

m2c, I think the whole backdoor thing looks staged and the fact that Misty has offered up everybody and their grandma as suspects, failed 3 polys, and can’t give le a coherent statement points the finger straight at her.

I do believe it was an accident and that she did have help, the cadaver dogs hit on the dumpster which would indicate that a body had been there but was moved. Cadaver dogs hit on several places in the Anthony’s backyard but we know now where Caylee really was.
I would surmise that the person who helped her is either afraid of Ron or afraid of being implicated in either a child neglect/endangerment case or perhaps murder
Does FL have a 3 strikes law as far as drug convictions? That might be another reason.
Another question I have is what about gators, or the national forest or park that is within driving distance? That could be a good place to hide a body.
Misty can be in total denial about her role in Haleigh’s disappearenc or she could just be a pathological liar. I was married to such a person for 13 years and the more he repeated his lies the more he believed them himself.
Did Misty ever have a pysch evaluation done?

What about the AC man? Was he interviewed?

And as far as who picked Haleigh up? That helps establish a time-line of events.

Polly, no matter who picked Haleigh up Ron & Misty, the other one was at home, because they only had one vehicle. So no matter who picked her up it was before Ron went to work. Her brother & his kids came over & an AC repair man was there around 5 or 5:30. Then Ron’s grandma delivered laundry around 7ish. The next positive time was when Ron came home from work. With the bedroom well lit, light from the kitchen would not appear as bright as it would if the bedroom were dark.

All I can find that mentions a call from Misty to Tommy is in comments and blogger posts. No credible source, so take it for what you will.

Also, even if the kitchen light wasn’t that bright in the bedroom, wouldn’t you notice that a light that you turned off was turned on. She probably thought Ron was home at first.

Would have been nice if they did a walk through of that trailer under the same conditions of that night, to see just how brightly, or not, the kitchen light really shined into that room.

I’m in my office with only a computer monitor and small desk light eminating light. Thick drapes are closed, no light coming in from the moon or street, yet there is considerable difference in my perception of brightness from a light coming in from the hallway’s bright 100 watts, when I turn the small desk lamp on/off.

Perhaps police have already tested the validity of her comments regarding the bright kitchen light, by recreating the bedroom lighting conditions of that night/morning.

We can also make observations using a little pyschology.

Misty has referred to Haleigh in the past tense, if she truly believes Haleigh is alive she would not do this.

Misty has tried to deflect suspicion from herself by first saying she believed Cousin Joe was the perp and then by trying to cast the suspicion onto Crystal and her family.

Thirdly, when questioned hard she tries to garner pity for herself by saying she’s just a kid, how much can she take?

And, Polly, no one has been pressured or interrogated more (by LE, the media, etc) than Misty. So we don’t really know how others would stand up to such pressure. I don’t really think Crystal did it but her statements and expressions on camera can be questioned too.
(I do think it’s possible that a relation or acquaintance of Crystal’s did it though).

I really think this girl comes from a hard life and hard times street smarts and knows she can never tell the truth if she does know anything, out of fear she knows she would be in big trouble! Shes more than likley thinking they will never find out anything now? But they are going to keep watching her and a lot more people, you can bet on it!

Just a thought… most criminals are more inclined to stick to the behavior that they know and feel very comfy with. Tommy, I believe went to the house on Ron’s urging and possibly snooped around hoping he’d get lucky and would be able to steal something.

If we take Ron’s “How you let my daughter get stole” statement to mean just that, you sort of can say, he’s implying that there WAS a robbery.

And if that’s the case, then I would venture to say Misty was doing something for HIM @ the time (Illegal)… makes me wonder if she was robbed of dope/money in the home.

Hypothesis:

Misty used Tommy’s wife’s van herself to dispose of Haleigh, her cell phone was turned off or battery removed so there wouldn’t be any “pings” to give it away. Having seen so much coverage of Casey, she could have figured that out.

we know now it was 8;30pm when they tryed to make a buy this last time trip, what if they followed them to the car and grabed Haleigh or they left the children in the car while they went in to make a buy and come out and she was gone? Would she call police knowing ron would kill her ass, and so she came up with a differant story? Consider this. Misty came home and found Haleigh missing. Could she have been trying to implicate cousin Joe early on. Did she put the block there because Joe had supposedly done this before? I do not think the block was put there to hold the door open for a man or a woman to take Haleigh out. I think Misty put the block there after she discovered Haleigh was missing.

Please share with the the information you need a FACT on to solve this case. I will gladly give it to you, because I know what the FACTS are. Better yet, why don’t you send that information to the new email address posted by the Sheriff’s office and I’m sure someone will communicate with you if it is legitimate. Oh, as you spew, the Sheriff’s Office doesn’t know what they are doing. As for the sex offenders being checked out so fast, I believe if you had the FACTs you would know that answer, but here it is. The FBI, FDLE and PCSO had a working group of people who were assigned, checking out the offenders. Agents with FBI who deal directly with sex offenders were assigned to investigate. Thats why they were able to do it so quickly. Over 300 officers on the ground the first 4 days of Haleigh missing. As for the garbage dumps that you credit the great work of CCSO with. Another FACT for you is that (1) it is the protocol to do that (look at the Missing Childs response Plan on their website) (2) PCSO did the same thing. All trash collected from the area was coordinated with the trash company, one truck used to collect it all, and taken to a segregated location at the dump, where 85 officers, dogs, etc, searched all of the trash. KUDOs to CCSO for having the same foresight as PCSO, in a horrible case to follow guidelines set forth for investigating a missing child complaint.
While you continually challenge the competency of PCSO, you really have no FACT to back up your claim, yet your lack of knowledge in the case lead to inaccurate opinions. I agree that everyone can speak and say what they want. No problem with that, but if you claim advocacy for the missing child, at least advocate on truths, not innuendo.
No Agency is perfect, remember the officers working this case (FBI,FDLE, and PCSO) are not the bad guy here. There only motive in this case is to find a missing child. (one of many still missing in this country unfortunately)
Holding the investigators accountable to work hard on the case, no problem. But what you believe should be done, is not always what educated, trained, and competent professionals do. Again, go to the academy, learn how to be an investigator, and I guarantee, you will look at this investigation through different eyes. BUT PLEASE continue to offer your theories and ideas, because that is good. You may say something that is so off the wall, that it may help find the girl.(NO sarcasm meant in that statement.) The only thing I wish you would stop doing is the unjust opinions that challenge the integrity of the investigation by these agency’s, when YOU DO NOT KNOW THE FACTS.

DCF talking to JR does not mean they learned much, if anything, about what happenned. Children his age do not understand the concept of time, days, dates.

My nephew was assaulted at age 2 by the teenage son of his babysitter. The professionals told us that because he was much more verbal than most 2 yr olds, he was able to tell them what happenned, although not in adult language terms.

We were first alerted that something was wrong when he was fearful in the bathroom after coming home from the babysitters. He was afraid of what he called a ‘monster’ at the window.

I know there are a lot of people who are overzealous in their defense of Crystal, but really. How can you not wonder. There were a lot of really strange things going on with her setting up the Haleighbug center. How can you just rule it out completely? Why isn’t there dirt being dug up on that side? I think that so many people really do believe that “this will never happen to me”. As a parent you do want to think your child will be fine when they’re out of your sight.

I have been accused of being “Over Protective” when it comes to my son. I’m just a realists when it comes down to his Medical and Psychological issues. SolveCrimes, I would have to agree that a public statement telling a child for every SO in the world to grab hold of would not be a smart thing to do. But, I do know where the concept of Purple comes from. It is Bibical.
Would I advise my Grandchildren to wear Purple to maintain a safety from SO’s.. No I wouldn’t, I would use the Concept of the Purple color only in discussing the Bible with them. And, as I already have.. Created a folder on the desktop of this computer, and put in this folder the pages containing photos of each one of the SO’s in our Area, for the Children to look at, and remember what they look like, and teach the kids methods of getting away from these Monsters. When I’m dealing with 10 through 18.. Don’t even come back with you could scare the kids.. I would rather have them terrifed of these people, then have them harmed by these people!!

What is with telling children they can run to a person who is wearing purple to be safe?

In that area, after what happened with Somer, I would think we’d be hearing about parents and neighbors within a 2 mile radius of that school volunteering to walk groups of children to school.
Or several volunteering to stand at each end of a block along the way! There should be an outpouring of help that would line every approach to that school with a “gauntlet” of safety for ALL children walking.

Jeff, sorry, but you don’t get a free pass saying that about TJ Hart. He is the ONLY one who has truly been professional in his reporting. He may have made some mistakes but always owned up and corrected them.

The way I heard it, a CALLER brought up the subject about the other site and Simon let it go on for a little while and then quite rightly put a stop to it because the program IS supposed to be about Haleigh. If he hadn’t done that, you and everybody else would have been screaming about that! LOL!

FYI, I exclude Denny and Simon from my remarks above as they are not exactly “reporting” on Haleigh’s disappearance the way TJ is. So my comments were not intended as slights to them.

People have made it clear to Simon and T.J. that we want to hear and talk about the details of finding Haleigh. We don’t want to hear about who lied, what faults Cobra has, what faults KP, has, or who said they were with the FBI. We don’t care.

Cobra has alot of good information for us about this case, and he has put his heart into it.

Some of you people want to consume the whole radio program with that kind of fighting, and most of us don’t want to hear about it. When you take up all the time on that kind of stuff, we learn nothing new about Haleigh’s case.

Simon is trying to be diplomatic to everyone, but he knows people are wanting to hear about Haleigh, and the people directly involved with this case. I think he is doing a good job, and it was a good program, today.

You really need to listen to the program more than once to get an idea of what is really going on. Simon lets people make their point, but he has to keep the show moving. He is, also, aware of what all he needs to update all of us on. I don’t think he is trying to hang up on people, but he has alot to cover.

I don’t mean this against the one’s that called in. Simon had just gone over what happened that day with Cobra and Rev Ragan who were there, eye witnesses. I don’t think Simon wanted to debate the situation with a blogger who was not an eye witness. I think he would have moved on if I or the governor had been the caller. I don’t think he was going to allow anyone who wasn’t an eye witness that day to take up any more time on that subject. Karon, I agree he just wanted to cover other issues.

Simon was outright not allowing Cobra to be confronted about his lies. I heard it. I understand he has to keep the show going, but why does one caller get 5 minutes, and the next can’t finish her sentence? The blogger wanted to confront a witness (Cobra) about the sudden change in his version of events from that day. What motivation is there for the about face? Someone is trying to save their ass at all costs, if this story today is the ‘truth’ Mr. Cobra, why lie before? You can’t have it both ways, you were either lying then or you are lying now.

I still don’t like how Simon said that it had nothing to do with finding Haleigh. I am not listening to the show because of Cobra being involved with it, not Simon.

COBRA LIED. Again, and Simon keeps asking him to come back.

And it doesn’t help that so many people who are involved in this case are so obviously deceptive. From family members to friends to fame seekers looking to make a name for themselves. It is sad.

Toughenough:

I know it is sad, but most of these cases go unsolved. It is really not that surprising she hasn’t been found. If you look past all the creepy people who were part of Haleigh’s life, she was most likely snitched by some pervert who has never even been caught before. That river out there leads a far ways away and there are a lot of woods out there to hide in. It is not a pleasant thought, but the person could just be very thorough in planning. Watching, waiting and making a calculated move at the right moment. I think Misty went out that night when the kids were sleeping (you would be amazed how many drug addicts don’t think twice about it) and he was there watching and she is scared to tell. By now, she has told her story so many times she probably believes it herself. The ramifications of this won’t set in for her till she is clean and older, IMO.

Toughenough:

I agree there is something so off about this Cummings’ case that we can’t put our finger on. I think that is why we can’t put it down.

All of these cases are so tragic.

Mariesilk, I know, I wonder if it will ever be solved, I wish LE would search for Chad Reynolds but there are so many RSO everywhere and MANY more that have not yet been caught, I think the chances a family member did anything directly is slim..but then my theories change pretty often.

I wonder if LE knows more than we do or if they are in the same boat. It does seem that certain searchers want us to believe they know more but I don’t believe it, they leave inuendos here and there that they “know something and will share later then as soon as there is a news story they claim this is what they were talking about…we could all do this, its the same bait psychics use, imo

t is very hard to get custody away from the one given..Not faulting the Father here in this sad time..But he has stated, he hasn’t talked to Somer in the last 2 yrs when she came for a visit, so I hardly think he would be given Father of the year award..and what makes him think NC is safer..
