Earlier this week a free asbestos seminar was held in Pinal County, Arizona, which was held by the Environmental Information Association, which is a non profit organisation, in conjunction with the Pinal County Air Quality Control District.

The free asbestos safety seminary was designed to help construction firms and other interested companies and people to learn more about the risks and dangers connected to asbestos exposure. There are a number of high risk industries when it comes to asbestos exposure, and the seminar aimed to educate companies about these risks.

Asbestos was once widely used in many different industries and applications, but around three decades ago it became widely known that exposure to the substance over long periods could result in serious health problems and even a deadly form of asbestos cancer known as mesothelioma.

Thousands of Americans die each year as a result of asbestos related disease, and many industry groups and campaigners have been calling for increased education and awareness for both businesses and consumers with regards to the dangers of exposure.
