Based on claims in report from an internet site and information from web forums, sources close the Haleigh Cummings abduction case say an investigation was opened by DCF regarding claims Haleigh’s father had talked about using a gun in a threatening manner in the presence of his young son.
Tim Miller with Texas EquuSearch is reported saying on www.artharris.com :
“With his 3 year old son, Junior, watching, Miller tells me Cummings “made a statement that if he found out Misty had some involvement, he’d blow her teeth through the back of her head.
“Then, he put the (assault rifle) down on floor, butt first, and almost got on his knees, bent over, and put the barrel in his mouth, and says, ‘I’ll kill her, and then kill myself, and take a few others with me.’ ”
Sources close to the investigation tell 97.3 The Sky that DCF got that report Tuesday night and that the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office received information from the agency Wednesday morning.
Our source also says the sheriff’s office did have a deputy go to the house with a DCF worker, although PCSO didn’t write a report. They are being kept in the loop should something criminal evolve from the DCF investigation.
Haleigh is described as a 6 year old white female. She is approximately 3′0, 39 lbs, blonde hair & brown eyes. Unknown clothing description.
Haleigh was last seen at her residence in the Hermit’s Cove area of Putnam County on February 9, 2009 between the hours of 8-10pm.
A statewide Amber Alert has been issued. An additional $30,000 in rewards have been posted.

That story has always bothered me. I have my doubts about Ronald doing that. He KNOWS he is in the spot light, why would he make a move or a threat like that? When the Donna Brock tricks were revealed and it showed up on Tim Millers Door, through emails to the Company, he had no choice but to admit to his participation in this issue. But, to give justification to his decision to pull this stunt.. He had to justify his action by tellin about Ron’s instability. I noticed that Tim’s original story left Junior out of this, whereas, his version with Art put Junior in. I also know that this past week, there was a notice that there is going to be a good percentage of monies from the Concert this coming Weekend in Austin, that is going to TES and Tim Miller. Hey, looking at everything at hand.. I have to ask, does one have to do with the other. Tim Miller has never in the past been this verbally open on any case.. He had never verbably beat up on the Families of missing children before.. Why Now? Is this out of Charecter.. I would say a BIG YES. Something has to be behind this behavior.. I trust Tim Miller has told the truth about what he witnessed Ronald doing. Ronald behaves strangely. For good reason, such messed up behavior could result in his losing custody of his toddler son.
I give Crystal credit that she loves her children. Tim probably revealed it immediately, but it was not reported until now. This seems real.

But, needless to say, the web was stirred up and they in volumn re reported this incidence.. DCF and PCSO went out, went through everything with a fine tooth Comb. Put Little Junior to tears in his Fear of what they were going to do with his Daddy, But, of course What effects Little Junior doesn’t bother the Volumn of emailers and callers. Who cares, as long as they can grab him away from his home and his Father. They don’t seem to care how Junior Feels. After all they were Judge and Jury, and not one of them present to see anything. The critical piece of information in Art’s article was that Tim said the rifle was loaded, with no safety, and in the closet where Junior could get to it. I hope they have confiscated the rifle. I also hope that Ron will accept some help. His guilt has not been established and he is a broken man, going through the worst trauma any parent could, and obviously needs help. Whether he would accept it though is questionable.

Everyone else has seen Ronald staring unblinking, stiff, controlled and controlling, but Tim has the benefit of a behind the scenes, off-camera view that has revealed much more.

Perhaps if the incident would of been investigated the moment it was received the out come may of been different. LE amd DCF would have to check this out just in case something did occur or they would be in a lot of hot water. Tim Miller works to find missing children and sometimes it may go above his normal duties. I believe Tim. Crystal and Amber both stated that he use to scare them to death by playing russian roulette with himself. They said he would pull the trigger, but at that point it was not loaded. Whose to say that next time it won’t be.
I am not at all convinced that this child would be better off with his mom.
She was not with the children, and it took her a long time to notify her parents that live next door.

DCF has not completed their investigation.
There was not even a police written. The Cummings family had no idea LE & DCF was coming to the house, so no time to “hide” anything, nor “prepare” for the visit. Apparently everything was just fine and any guns in the house were properly locked up. Without having first hand knowledge of events, people should leave those with the knowledge to the reporting. If Tim Miller witnessed said incidents, TM should have been the one to report the incident to DCF.

Tim Miller is fully aware Ronald Cummings has three attorney’s at his disposal and would not open himself wide open for a lawsuit.
Tim did report the incident but par for Florida officials, they did nothing.

I am surprised no one has noticed the obvious thing that stands out in this story. In TM’s recounting of this tale he says that he reported it to le. Well, le says they received the report from DCF on Wednesday morning.

Look, I am not a Ronald fan, I don’t even know him BUT I think he has handled himself pretty well under the circumstances. It has been 8 long, agonizing months of his daughter missing. He has been accused, bad mouthed, and made fun of through this entire ordeal and really has said very little back. Give him a little compassion. Bloggers aren’t making this up. The people around Ron are living it. Ron knew the news was out about that gun because he reads the blogs himself. Misty told T.J. that. Of course, he would know CPS would check him out, so he locked the guns up.
This violent tendency of Ron’s is coming from too many people. Cobra got scared that Ron was going to kill Misty one night and called LE to go to their house. Ron was saying threatening things about Misty to Cobra, remember. Tim has never made up anything like this before, and he has looked for children all over this country.
If he takes his own life, he could take Jr.’s as well. Would any of you want to take a chance on that? One child is missing, already from that home.
Experts that know how to talk to children needs to talk to Jr. They can get him to talk without traumatizing him any further.

Unfortunately when a story like the one about Ron and the gun etc is repeated to anyone or reported to DCF and/or LE and/or gets around on blogs it is absolutely necessary for it to be investigated because “what if” it’s true and no one did anything and someone got hurt?
I don’t really know what can be done at this point. I imagine what occurred was between Tim and Ron so it’s a he said/he said. So I don’t know what any authority can do about it other than investigate whether Ron’s got guns, licenses and permits for them, and keeps them in a “safe” place “away” from Jr. (I’m assuming that’s FL law). But maybe some aspect of that can affect his custody status. IDK.
I’m not sure how TES has or is handling donations. Last year when I first heard of the organization, you just donated. It wasn’t for a particular search. It may have changed and maybe there is a way to mark the donation to only be used for a particular child but that doesn’t seem fair to me - at least the way TES used to work.
And please remember, folks, that TES was about $40,000 in the red after searching for Caylee Anthony. And we don’t really know if Tim and/or Donna used their own money or TES’s for their recent activities. At least I don’t know for a fact where that money came from.
And, yes, I am very concerned about Tim’s recent involvement. I would rather him go to another state and search for a missing person the way he used to. He doesn’t need to be embroiled in this drama. I think he’s done all he can and I hope he packs it in in Florida and moves on and gets back to doing what he used to do so well.

If DCFS and LE investigated properly then they’ve probably avoided a law suit. The only potential law suits I see that may have some foundation are those that could be brought by Ron against TM for slandering him (if there were no objective witnesses to what Tim reported) and possible law suits against Staubs from various bond agencies and state prosecutors and others who Staubs has bad-mouthed and possibly threatened (possibly with black mail - or so it seemed from the nearly incomprehensible articles and posts that I read).
I posted this on another site a few days ago and thought I would post it here-
My very first instinct was that Crystal and Co had something to do with HaLeigh’s disappearance. She had a court hearing where jail was a very real possibility for her failure to pay child support. Her comment on her myspace about her baby Chloe, Her baby Chad… and the other brats made my stomach turn. The complete about face from being supportive of Ron to the wild, unsubstantiated accusations of abuse (physical and substance) when Kim P and Whorealdo came to town only deepened my initial gut feelings. I have yet to see any documented proof that Misty or Ronald were involved, just the opposite- I have seen photographs and video which show a darling little girl who was loved and doted upon. Neither have I seen any proof that Crystal and Co were involved, yet I see much more motive from that direction.
The sideshow circus atmosphere makes my heart ache for a little girl who has been gone from home for 8 long months. I am the first to say that no one, not Ron, Misty, Crystal, or Chad deserve Parent of the Year nominations, yet I have seen no proof of the allegations that have been flying. I have seen that Chad did have an injunction against him for violence with minor children in residence and has prior drug convictions. Crystal has a history of filing a false police report, which IMO damages her credibility. I have seen that Ronald has several arrests, without conviction, for drug and paraphernalia possession dating from before his daughter was even born. I have seen that Crystal’s sister acted violently towards Amber Brooks, and that Amber’s mother was violent towards Misty. I have heard from LE that Misty did indeed go on a party weekend days before HaLeigh disappeared. I know that both Amber and Nay Nay have recent run ins with LE for drug charges. These are the only documented facts out there as far as court and public records are concerned. Every other bit of rumor and innuendo floating around are just that - Rumor and innuendo.
The fact that Tim Miller, a man I have long respected, would choose to disseminate more rumors and innuendo, further breaks my heart. He, like many others reporting on this case, has cited shady unreliable sources and presented the information as fact. He failed to act as a civically responsible individual if the “assault riffle story” is indeed true. The authorities should have been called so a warrant could be served to confiscate any firearms, and Ronald should have been 5150 ‘d.
This is all of course my own opinion, with the exception of that which I stated as facts. Everyone with a motive and means to have been involved in HaLeigh’s disappearance needs to be further questioned. This would include Crystal and Co, the Crosslins, the Cummings, the Brooks, and the SO’s… Motive can be vengeance, jealousy, money,sex… the means are available to all parties. HaLeigh was familiar with whom ever took her and due to the incomplete timeline of that night there was more than enough time for any of these persons to go to Green lane and take the child.
I’m going to throw a wrench in here.
Is it truly possible that Misty is telling the truth about failing the tests because she feels so guilty about Haleigh missing because she was the last one to see Haleigh???
Could a person who is completely innocent feel such guilt in those kind of circumstances that it would end up in failed tests?

PAW, I don’t have the answer partly because I don’t put much stock in LDT’s. They are not admissable in court for a reason (or more than one reason). They aren’t dependable. So as far as I’m concerned it’s one more thing I don’t have to worry about in this case. The LDT’s are a non-issue to me.

Tm Miller did report the incident to Putnam County Sheriff’s Office right after it happened, Treece. But, don’t let the facts get in your way.
Anita, I understand that. But I thought that Tim did NOT report it to the authorities and not when it happened either. My understanding is that he told other people about it on the radio and other places later on. Then it was picked up on blogs and THEN DCFS and LE investigated. At least I think that’s the order of events.

Boldone and others - It’s easy for all of us to get the wrong idea and that’s why it’s good to try to clarify. I mean some people involved in this case HAVE moved out of town so it’s not a big leap to have thought that Crystal might be, too. And there ARE other funds that people can contribute to so that’s why I asked for clarification of which fund the Texas money-raiser is going to.

Anita, with regard to the amount of the Crimestoppers’ reward, do you think that a larger amount would really get someone to talk?
I’d think that $35,000 would look like plenty to most people in that area. I believe there has to be another reason that no one has tried to get it (other than the 4,000 “tipsters” who’ve called in with gosh knows what info or supposed sightings). So I mean another reason that no one who is LOCAL has spilled the beans.
The reward has a lot of red tape rules, so the local yokel doesn’t believe he would really be able to collect.
Yes, I think, if say, Armando got 200,000 emails for Haleigh, everyone contribute a dollar to each email and send that 200K to Crimestoppers and I think someone would talk. If no one talks, you know the family is in on the deed.

One of the “hitches” with Crimestoppers’ reward set-up is that the tip has to be received directly by Crimestoppers. Do not call 911. Do not call the police directly. You can only call the Crimestoppers’ phone number (at end of article above). Poor old Kronk - who probably didn’t care about the reward anyway - proved that when he found Caylee Anthony’s remains and made the mistake of calling the police (911, I believe) instead of Crimestoppers. They refused to give him the reward.

Texasgoldengirl: There’s a misunderstanding about the reward. The original one - Crimestopper’s - the one LE is in charge of - is $35,000.
A while ago, Misty’s father claimed that Ron said that if he had $35,000 he could find Haleigh (another long story). Anyway, Tim got a friend of his to write a check TO RON for $35,000 and told Ron he could have it if he’d tell. So people added up the two and came up with $70,000. But as far as I know Crimestoppers’ is still at $35k and the other check is still ONLY for Ron.
And THAT was another big misunderstanding. I believe that someone’s child told a bunch of people including Ron that she had spoken to Haleigh on the phone and Haleigh had said she was with a man named, “Larry.” And Ron had said that if he had $35,000 he’d find Larry - or find the guy or something like that. Personally I think it was an off the cuff comment and that if it meant anything Ron meant that if he could offer Larry that $35,000 then he could find Haleigh.
Anyway that’s the history on where the $70k came from BUT the reward is NOT $70k. It’s just $35k

A 17 yr old “girl” who stopped going to school in the 6th grade, always had trouble in school, didn’t know what numeric meant.
I think she’s telling the truth. I don’t think she had anything to do with Haleigh missing. I think she’s tired of taking test after test after test and she’s tired of telling them what they have already heard. That’s why she doesn’t want to go back and talk to them again.

You know how many parents who’s child/ren have been kidnapped/killed have said they will kill whoever took/killed there child. Whether they said it on a 911 call, to someone else, or in their own home, I’m sure all of them have made that statement, or 1 very close to it.

Karon, I don’t believe any of us has had a missing child; as far as guns go-I grew up in a home with guns sometimes they were loaded and sometimes not, but we (the children always knew where the ammo and guns were) we were only allowed to use them while attended by an adult or if it became neccessay in an emergency (that never happened); drugs, I bet most of us have been affected either directly or indirectly (if we were to be honest).
And like I’ve said before if my child had been abducted I would probably threaten the sbductor’s life too. I don’t think this makes me evil or guilty just mad and protective.

Get Real? I think we are all real. Karon, Those kids are with Ron and not Crystal for a reason. If the courts felt those kids were in harms way, they wouldn’t have gone to him either. Now Ron was at work when Haleigh was taken. He was working, and probably trying to turn his life around for his children. That doesn’t happen over night. Ever since his daughter was taken, he has spiralled downward. He doesn’t have his job anymore and he doesn’t have his home anymore since his daughter has been missing. But before this all happened. He did have his own place and did have a job to support his children. DCF and other agencies have been called and have went to check things out. If they STILL have not found anything to lead them to believe that the kids have ever been in danger, then obviously the children haven’t been in danger. Granted, his life style he had before wasn’t the best of choices. But have you noticed that when something happens like this, we only see the bad side of people, they never show the good side of people, EVER.

Thank you for being so nice and letting me state my opinion. Psychologists tell us when people start talking suicide to take them very seriously. I know how terrified Jr. is when he watches his Daddy fighting his Uncle Tommy and Misty, his mother, Amber, and heaven only knows who else. I stood outside of my parents’ bedroom where they physically fought, regularly, and it is horrible for a child. I still live with the pain of my childhood, and I wish someone had of stepped in.
There has been one incident right after another for 8 months, now. Apparently, GGSykes can’t handle Ronald all that well. He is seriously disturbed and needs help.
I won’t say anything else, but if you didn’t live in an environment like this, you cannot understand what all of this is doing to Jr.

I did not have parents that fought but I was abused as a child and I understand how you carry that with you and relate it in the present. Karon, I have learned the hard way to not let my personal situations I’ve been in mix with these situations. It’s very hard to seperate them, It really is. But we can’t jump the gun either without knowing everything about any of these people. I can see why TN lets LE do the work and not her. Our problem here is not enough evidence (pure true evidence) and too much speculation. We’ve heard nothing from LE themselves and too much from everyone else who are throwing everything out there. It’s very hard to determine whats real and whats just another BS story. It’s to the point that a lot of us have now questioned who we are suppose to believe. But 1 thing is for sure, EVERYONE wants Haleigh found and EVERYONE wants to know for sure that JR is safe.
As for Dog and Beth, I’d love to see Beth in the jail cell with CA for 5 minutes lol. But yes, Beth if anyone may get a little closer to knowing the truth if she took all the females 1 by 1 and had a chit chat with them.
Well, I have to get off here and get things ready for work tomorrow. My house is a mess. I’m spending way too much time on here. I’m finding myself checking in during work time and that’s a big no no. I should be getting in bed. I can’t believe I’m losing sleep over this. I’ve stopped talking to my kids about this case. They think I’m getting depressed over it. I can’t help thinking about how Haleigh’s family must feel. Whether you like them or not, they have still lost a child. Junior was with Crystal when Tommy came to the house past 10:30 pm and the fight occurred. Therefore, he did not witness anything. Had Junior been home, he would have been in bed I’d imagine. He’s 4 years old.
You, and no one else knows what goes on in the home with Junior. You don’t know if there is arguing in front of Junior. It’s best to save the assumptions and stick to facts. Junior is seeing a counselor. Both Crystal and Ron are involved in the counseling. I’m sure if Crystal feels there are concerns, she will take the appropriate measures for her son. Too many chefs in this kitchen.
Perhaps people should stop focusing on all these side issues and start thinking about HALEIGH and where SHE might be right now.
That’s another thing, With JR being in counselling, he would have cracked already about being at a party, dad playing with guns in front of him, and dad being abusive. Yes, he’s 4 yrs old, But a 4 yr old will tell on you quicker than anyone will. So if it were true. JR wouldn’t be with Ron still.

Mark Klaas coming down hard on Tim Miller on NG tonight-saying that he endangered all other searchers/investigators, even said Putnam Co. sheriff should arrest Tim Miller for interference of an investigation. Also explaining that Polly’s mom slept through abduction as did Elizabeth Smart’s parents (entire families have slept through kidnappings) so it is possible that Misty slept through abduction. I have to say,this is just blowing me away. First everyone was so glad KP was on board,but now that Crystal has “fired” her and bad mouthed her, she is not allowed to follow the case?? I’m sorry to leave a bad impression, but my thoughts had nothing to do with a blogger saying Kim gave her information . It was what Cobra himself was saying about her. I don’t know if she resigned or was fired. It doesn’t matter to me. Cobra said she was the one that had caused him so many problems. I agree, the more people focused on Haleigh, the better. The blogger did not influence me at all. I just want all these side shows to stop taking away from the real focus here, that is finding Haleigh.
Hopefully things will look better in the morning and I’m praying there will be an explanation for all this.

And then there is Chad Griffis who was out all that night. Motive could be he was afraid of Crystal going to jail and all the money that would have to be paid out like bonds, court costs, and 12,000+ in back support.

Crystal is the only person that had legal problems when Haleigh vanished. She was potentially going to be jailed b/c she had not paid child support in over 3 years. She knew she could go to jail for not paying, her father was jailed for the exact same thing.
Ronald didn’t have any legal problems. Crystal did, she faced jail time for contempt of court charges for not paying CS though I don’t think she had anything to do with it.

oh i have a lot of ding ding dings about alot of things about this case and the people involved. since we are mostly anonymous some are here to deliberately mess the conversation up. it did get sensitive (feelings) and personal tonight! i think everyone is taking this all personal if you ask me.
i keep flip flopping on what i think about the main players. i keep flip flopping on the job that le is doing. i do hear cobra and t.j. saying the police really care. they (cobra and t.j.) seem to be sincere and not saying this because they have to. although cobra has mentioned the politics of the sheriffs office. i hope we can learn more about what all that is about soon. probably when cobra’s case is settled (hopefully fairly.)

oops forgot the topic of thread, if people really thought someone was is in danger, yes they should call and ask the police about it.
whether it was ronald jr. or ronald sr. or anyone. it is better to err on the side of caution. it is then up to the authorities to decide if the concern is credible. especially when a family has been so traumatized like this one, it is really possible ron is not coping well and those closest to him may not realize it.

For one, I heard on the news that there were allegations that he was about to be called into court because Haleigh had a lot of unexcused absences. Which if true, would have given Crystal a chance to re-open the custody, wouldn’t it?

Ron has never even been PROVEN to be the father of Amber’s child. Amber would never allow him to take a paternity test. Wonder why?
You do not get ordered to pay child support on a child that is not “legally” yours. So no, Ron is not in trouble for being behind on child support for Amber’s child. That is not even a rumor, it’s a lie.
And Ron was not being called to court for HaLeigh’s absences. He told Crystal that HaLeigh cannot miss anymore school or he could get into trouble. That’s a big difference from already being called into court.
Ron was not in any legal trouble when HaLeigh went missing. Her going missing did NOT “evaporate” legal issues for Ron as you have suggested. If anything, it has created a world of trouble for him, in addition to his child being missing. I’m sure he’d do anything to have his baby back.
I am having a hard time believing how clueless some people here are acting.
I can not stand Crystal Sheffield and I do not think she would make a suitable home for a child, but if you really look at this case with open eyes you will only see that Ronald Cummings is a violent and dangerous man.

J, Ron is on the birth certificate of Jordan; this is the son Ron had with Amber. Ron was in legal trouble with the school system. He was on contempt of truancy. He had to go to court over this.Ron had been warned about Haleighs absences. The fact is Haleigh had Turners Syndrom. Haleigh could of very well been ill, but someone was too lazy to get up and call her out of school. Here in Florida a child can miss up to 15 days and not need a medical excuse; just a phone call from parent excusing the childs absence or a written excuse. A parent can be put in jail over not sending their child to school and even the children removed. They look at this as a form of neglect. This is why I cannot understand how Misty dropped out in 6th grade and her parents some how fell under radar.

About Misty dropping out of school and Haleigh’s absences - It’s possible that, like a lot of other places, DCFS and LE (as well as schools) are understaffed and under-budgeted. Perhaps they had to put cases of child abuse before cases of what they may see as “benign neglect.” I don’t know. It’s still very very wrong. And gosh knows all the cases of child abuse are not properly handled either. It’s just a thought.
I think those of us who really care about children could take a look at the budgets for those agencies in our own areas and email our state representatives to let them know that we believe “children must come first” when the money’s being handed out (or reduced).

I know this is off subject but I went to the http://writeintoaction.com/ site this morning and a Timothy Holmseth press release states that there were 2 sightings of Haleigh in South Carolina and Georgia that were investigated by the Putman Co. Police Dept. LE said they veiwed a video from one of these sightings and the girl was not Haleigh. But when Mr Holmseth contacted these stores no video had ever been requested from LE. Neither business had been contacted. I find this very confusing. Who do you believe anymore in all this mess.

MissingKy - That’s exactly why it’s not a good idea (IMO) to surf the web for info. Can’t depend on them and often you find sites that are more interested in muckraking, stirring the pot and that word things in such a way that it misleads people. For example, it MIGHT be “true” literally speaking but in actuality it doesn’t mean what you end up thinking it means. I stay away from those places. It’s a waste of time.
I like to stick to sites - news and blogs - that at least try to get it right - and try to be clear about it.

Searching01 - Why even try to imagine what KP may be going to do? She inserted herself into this case as one of the “stars” that made it the circus it has become AND diverted attention AWAY from the missing child, turning it into a custody issue. I think Cobra has had the best intentions for Haleigh and am giving him the benefit of the doubt on this and hope you will too, at least, until you hear him out. KP coming back in the picture shocked us all because of the way they seemed to have parted ways. My impression, from the riddles and blogs they have posted, is that they are coming together on Cobra’s legal situation and the corruption issue not to look for Haleigh. No good comes of it. Nothing substantial. Just more muddy waters (IMO). This way I have the time and a clearer head to look at aspects of Haleigh’s disappearance that may really matter.
But that’s just me and how I choose to try to deal with this.
I think ALL the circus freaks have a hidden agenda and should just go home-none have done one thing to benefit Haleigh’s return. m2c, I simply don’t understand how the situation wouldn’t have driven the custody issue to the fore even without accusations of Ronald having a bad temper. Even without such allegations, if Crystal was assuming that Ronald and she had their problems, but he wouldn’t deliberately do anything to his kids (which is the picture one gets), and then all of this comes out about drug binges, everyone would have been screaming their heads off about how come she didn’t care? It cuts both ways.
It is quite possible that her health issues interfere with her coping skills and her lawyer took one look at her and the situation and thought this girl simply didn’t realize how bad the situation was. Of course, there are unethical opportunistic lawyers. I don’t know the lawyer in question, but I’ll bet a lot of lawyers would have thought there was more to it than met Crystal’s eyes. Look at the shape she’s in.
KP certainly seemed, on the Nancy Grace show, to be convinced of the case she was presenting with the pictures of the bruises. It looked to me like the evidence could be interpreted more than one way without the assistance of an expert. (Then we get into the issue of experts.) This is a perfect example of the problems with this case.
I don’t see that Crystal went in for overkill on Ron, which a conniving-type woman would have taken advantage of the situation to do.
Then we have reports from different ex’s of Ronalds that seem pretty consistent in the way they draw a picture of a man with a precarious temper. What are the odds these girls are getting together and plotting to say bad things about him? It just doesn’t seem very likely to me.

Amber said that she did not want a paternity test and did not want Child Support from Ron because she wanted nothing to do with him, yet her mother Lisa assaulted Misty for taking her daughter’s “man”. I have never understood why the articles on this blog seem to be written in some sort of code that those of us who are not regulars on this blog do not understand. The articles alway mentions sources but rarely names them, often say they think they know who did this, or said that, and never say who they are talking about. It is very hard to understand what this website is all about.
I have been reading about TES for years now and have also been wondering why TM suddenly decided to get so deeply involved with this particular case. I have never head of him becoming this involved in a case. I wondered at the start if his team found out some inside information at the beginning, possibly from LE which led them to believe, or know, that Misty and possibly Ron killed Haleigh, and because TM cares so much for the missing, he has made his duty to uncover their lies. Other than that, I can not understand his devotion to this particular missing child case. As for Misty, I think she knows something, but how she has managed to keep it together and not tell when she clearly is an immature 17 year old is beyond me. I also think Ron knows what happened, I have never thought he didn’t. He seems to involved in the circus surrounding the case rather than the case itself. If my child were missing I would handle myself extremely differently. His behavior is violent and controlling, which is never good for a child in a home with someone like that. I don’t think anyone is hiding her from her mother’s family, I just don’t think her mother cares enough to put forth much effort to find her. As for the gun incident, whether or not it really happened, I just don’t know. I do find it hard to believe Ron would do anything in front of Tim since Tim seems to report alot of what is said to him, but, Tim does seem to be after Misty right now, not Ron, so Ron may see him as an ally, which may be why he feels it is okay to express himself in front of him (or show off his temper). And people who behave that way will do so in front of a child without even thinking of it. That child needs to be removed from that atmosphere, the whole family is messed up and he is witnessing so much right now that he doesn’t stand much of a chance in his life of getting past all this.

I feel they should DCF should leave Ronald alone. He has one child missing that he don’t know if she is dead or alive. I don’t know what I might say or do if my baby girl (or any of my children) were missing. I am pretty sure I would threaten to kill whoever stole my child, and I would mean it. I faught like hell for my first born child because her father knew she was my life and world and he thought if he could get custody of her then he could have me because I could not leave her. I speak from my own experience when I say the bullshit DFC puts a kid through is abuse itself. The folks that want DCF involved in Juniors life are wishing that little boy some of the most tramatic abuse he could ever know.

DixieSunshine, I agree as long as Jr is safe I think he should be left there with Ron and grandma. He is already dealing with not having his sister. He is in counseling and surely they are monitoring him. Sometimes it is necessary for children to go into the foster care system. Sometimes “home” is just too dangerous. But I agree if you can leave the child with their family that is best. Sometimes it is hard to know what is best. Kids in foster care should not get abused but I know it happens much of the time. The foster parents that do it for the right reasons are wonderful. The one’s that do it for bad intent are heinous.

Try proceeding from the assumption that Ron WAS aware that TM would report what he said. Also that maybe it was important to him to appear ga-ga over Misty?
And if at the same time, doubt could be cast upn Mr. Miller’s credibility? Maybe he wants TM to think that Misty’s life is in danger. But it isn’t, because she’s eating out of his hand like he’s her savior. I would wager, no more binges. I think that’s the point. My opinion, of course.
I saw someone operate in such a way over quite a few years. Her entire family thought she was a saint. The trouble went on and on and on. And there she was, the eye of the hurricane. So maybe I have my antennae out for such things, and people are welcome to believe that, and can take everything I say with a grain or a box of salt as they choose.
Did you watch the video news report about the wedding? I got the impression that this was a man who would never marry anybody unless his back was against the wall and he had no choice. “Dragged to the altar just short of kicking and screaming” was the phrase that came to my mind. Anybody out there want to find the Florida Code Section that pertains to statutory rape? I couldn’t find it (yet). So, in the interests of FACTS, maybe someone could do that? I am not real good with the internet.
I do know that if a man tells you that if you leave him he will commit suicide, it is probably time to run for the hills. (See yesterday’s blogs.) It is, from what I understand, more likely that a person making such a threat is too selfish to actually do it. It is often (not always) psychological BATTERY, usually aimed at a person who is basically, unselfish and generous, or at least vastly more mature than they are. But Misty has a different psychological makeup from Crystal, and would react differently to such a situation. People should take psychology. And find out what the term “control freak” really means. Then see if the shoe fits.
All my opinion, of course.

Point is, the proverbial shoe is going to fit somebody. I don’t think it’s Crystal. That doesn’t mean I think RC deliberately harmed his daughter, but it sure could look like at least being an accessory after the fact. In my opinion.
