CFSA is the national trade association representing responsible payday lenders. With membership representing more than half of the payday advance outlets nationally, CFSA promotes laws and regulations that protect consumers while preserving their access to credit options. The association also works on behalf of members to support and encourage responsible industry practices. We want customers to use payday advances wisely and we want the service to be a solution for those who need low-dollar, short-term credit. A payday loan may not be the best choice in every situation.
Payday advances play a necessary role, providing hard-working people with a reasonable, well-regulated option for meeting unexpected or unbudgeted expenses and other short-term financial needs.
Payday advances are small, unsecured, short-term loans, usually due on the borrower’s next payday. The average loan is $300 and the typical fee is $15 to $17 per $100 borrowed.
The payday advance industry exists because we offer our customers a product that is more desirable than the alternatives.

Your post news gives very useful information about PAYDAY LOANS. At the time of urgent requirements these loans are good because they are quick and easy to process through which you can get fast cash within a short span of time. You can fulfill your entire unexpected expenses easily without any delay.

Jennifer, could you please give more information regarding your statement that "most of the pay day loan businesses are owned by the major banks?"

Thanks.

Living in Arizona, with millions of low wage earners in the state, pay day loan placed have overtaken almost 2 out of every 4 corners of every street in business districts. They are everywhere. AZ tried to pass a bill the supposedly limited their ability to shark people, but the bill was written by the loan shark lobby and did nothing of the sort. Luckily, it did not pass. Do you know that most of the pay day loan businesses are owned by the major banks? If you think that bank scamming ended with the bank bailout, think again. These people have no shame.
