In an interview on “The Early Show” this morning, Misty Cummings pointed to other relatives in the disappearance of stepdaughter Haleigh.
“Someone came in and got her, obviously,” Cummings, 17, told CBS’ Maggie Rodriguez. “I feel like it’s on the other side of the family that has her. That’s just how I feel.”
Haleigh was 5 in February when she vanished from her father’s Satsuma trailer home. Misty had been baby-sitting for the two children of her boyfriend, Ronald Cummings. The couple married in April, and he announced on HLN’s Nancy Grace Show this week that he is seeking a divorce.
Misty told “The Early Show” that she thinks Ronald will go through with the divorce. “We’re going to still stay in contact,” she said. “If something happens down the road, then we might end up back together.”
It is interesing, I was talking with TJ Yesterday about the split up, and how it might alter the dynamics of the case. Clearly we have now entered a new phase, finger pointing. I will be curious to see if this provokes a response from the Shefield side of the family – simon

Crystal has been around she’s not a media whore like Ron and Misty.People like to trash talk her so she tryes to stay out of the media.She does Interviews with the news here and there.But mostly she’s out SEARCHING for her daughter with the rest of her family unlike some people we know.Go to the Florida news website and go read and watch the videos on Crystal talking about her DAUGHTER.Just becuase Crystal isn’t on the news 24/7 like Ron and Misty doesn’t mean she’s not doing anything to find her daughter or she doesn’t care.She does things on her own I have talked to many people who are in this case and they say Crystal does NOT have Haleigh nor does she know where she’s at.The focus is on MISTY and MISTY only.The police and FBI know she’s lying and she knows where Haleigh’s at and knows what happened to her.Give it time Misty will be arrested soon.
Crystal is not searching for Haleigh and neither is Marie unless Haleigh is on the internet somewhere.
She will be going to Austin next week for a concert, maybe Haleigh’s in TX.
Star bright, I never said she wasn’t searching for Haleigh, or not doing anything for her.
I was just simply wonder where she has been… (Not being 100% media attention) makes sense.

I think Crystal has honestly been trying to change her life… I don’t know enough to prove that though.
I don’t know why when anything comes up about Crystal, it’s about her being on drugs & sucking at life.
She seems to be doing MUCH better then when she was with Ron!
Ron did drugs too, why doesn’t that always come up?
Surely a four wheeler compares nothing to a missing daugher.
Not to mention, how do you know she used THAT money to buy that? She does have other income ways… she could be paying every month on a note.
I mean where else can one search? They searched for the first few months EVERYWHERE close to the trailer. I don’t know..

I’m just saying, you can’t assume she using “THAT MONEY”. Isn’t she set to be married soon? Maybe her fiance BOUGHT it himself.
Maybe her child support is her business, Ron’s and the courts & not YOURS or mine!
In my humble opinion: I think both side are hiding something, I am not sure what, but something. As I mentioned before I will not judge them, but if you look at the parents of real missing children, i.e. Polly Klaas father, Adam Walsh’s father, and many others. They searched and were out every single day, month, years, looking for their child sobbing and truly grieving even years later. That is not what you see here.
I do not think LE has completely ruled out anyone, they may be on the bottom of their list but not off the list completely.
Wow, I must say, the camera really loves this girl! As another blogger said, maybe in some alternate parallel universe she would have been a straight A student and gotten to be the prom queen and gone on to be a movie star. If the case goes cold, or she gets arrested, they’ll never stop looking at her for the bad reasons. It’s all so sad.
Ron calls Misty’s statement “absolutely ludicrous.” states the Orlando Sentinel. I thought Misty was talking about Crystals family.

Okay my honest opinion is misty knows where haleigh is unless of course she was out screwin around and left the kids @ home alone which in that case would be an abuse charge. all that aside misty stated when she and ron got married thats what haleigh wanted so did her and son talk to her and see how she felt about the divorce i swear if i was crystal and my daughter was missing and all you see on tv is misty and ron i would be irrate

How can they blame others for their mistakes/divorce.. If they stopped behaving like nutters, then perhaps the focus would STAY on HaLeigh…I believe they are the only folks that have derailed the investigation. Whether it was done on purpose or just out of sheer stupidity… They are hooked on yet another drug…. Limelight
Who knows exactly what she meant by the other side of the family. She seems to be getting well-versed in how to evade and double-talk. (But can you blame her?)
I read somewhere that the Croslins and Sheffields are related. In which case, the “other side” *could* be Ron’s side.
Or maybe she identifies more with Ron’s side? Maybe the separation is a temporary thing until Ron gets his custody issue settled? Could be more shenanigans. Hair-pulling isn’t it?
Crystal nor Marie is looking for Haleigh unless she’s on the internet or going to be in Austin next week.

I agree in comparison to other parents’ of missing chilren, none of these people are acting right. I read LE asked the Sheffields to back up and stay out of it, but I don’t see how they can stay so quiet.
Marie Griffis spoke out today about Misty’s statement that the other side of the family had her. She said it was ridiculous, and Misty had said that before.
As Simon said, we have entered into another phase(the pointing finger phase.)
what i’m wondering is why did marie come out with a statment and not haleigh’s mother?
imo marie needs to step back and make her sleeping all day daughter get out and do the talking.
aqnd since i have been following this case never once have i seen misty point the finger at crystal.

Also who will be representing Misty now apparently her lawyer dropped her cause she wouldnt listen to his advice.. He texted her to let her know wonder if she got that message before the interveiw.
This needs to come to an end someone needs to step up and tell the truth to what happened to Haleigh so all of us can have closure for this precious child. God keep her safe and tucked in your arms.

did anybody ask the little boy if they were out that nite than the brother said that he was there than ron came home does not make sence thanks for keeping her in the public eye she got to come home regarless sad to say bad or good bless her little girl we got to find her thank heather
