I would do next to anything to have Tina Fey be a part of my life.  She’s hilarious, she’s nice, and she’s beautiful.  She makes jokes about the same sort of deep cultural pieces that I do as well.  But as much as I like Tina Fey, I just might be in love with Liz Lemon a little bit more.  Can’t understand why?  All the reasons you could ever need are ready for you to bring home on DVD today!

Starting this September 22nd, now available as a DVD boxed set comes the third season of the show that runs away with the Emmys every single year since it first came out.  30 Rock – Season Three is ready to explode out of your television screen and transport you to a land of delightful irony and some of the wittiest writing to ever be on the small screen.  Bring home this award-winning third season today!

The cast, writing staff and other employees associated with “TGS with Tracy Jordan” are back for their hilarious third season.  Jack is fighting his way back to the top of GE, Liz Lemon is thinking about adopting a baby and even manages to snag a boyfriend along the way.  Jenna gets way too deep into a role and learns not to trust the Internet, Kenneth has speech problems and learns the boundaries of his friendship with Tracy.  Tracy makes millions of dollars and a sex doll and becomes convinced that people are out to get him.  This, and so much more, makes this a season that can’t be missed.  Beyond all that, this season is loaded down with great guest stars.  Some of them are John McEnroe, Moby, The Beastie Boys, Megan Mullally, Jennifer Aniston, Oprah Winfrey, Steve Martin, Salma Hayek, Jon Hamm, Clay Aiken, Mary J. Blige, Sheryl Crow, Elvis Costello, Adam Levine, Steve Buschemi, Elaine Stritch and Alan Alda.  This show stars Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracey Morgan, Jane Krakowski, Scott Adsit, Jack McBrayer, Judah Friedlander, Katrina Bowden and Keith Powell.

The special features included in this DVD boxed set are a magnificent selection of deleted scenes, optional audio commentaries from Tina Fey, Jon Hamm, Alan Alda, Jack McBrayer, Jane Krakowski and more, a look behind the scenes at the episode with the Muppets, the table read of the season finale, a look at the making of the season finale, a photo gallery and the entire video advertisement for 1-900-OKFACE.

I watched the first two season of this show on and off, but I watched nearly every episode of this third season when they first came out.  Without a doubt, this is the funniest season of this show.  Plus Don Draper is in it!  What more can you ask for?  There have been a lot of really funny shows on television and I have loved the majority of them.  But I don’t think I’m venturing too far out on a limb to say that this just might be the funniest television show of all time.  It has certainly won armfuls of awards and is the funniest television show for me on a personal level.  Tina Fey is able to so deftly encapsulate some of the things I’ve always thought were hilarious – self-deprecation, nerdy things, politics, irony, the perfect phrase at the perfect time (I still fall off my couch every time Tracy Jordan talks about noblesse oblige) – and Alec Baldwin has become a golden boy with the success of this show.  What more could you ask for?  Nothing.

This funniest season yet will Rock your world.
