Teaching that sexual abstinence is the best defence against sexually transmitted disease is self evident common sense. Valuing all human life is to be applaude, as is confronting the violent jihadist elements of Islam, which are a direct threat to all non Muslims. He schemed his way into the papacy, has blocked church reform, none too subley attacked others -- the Muslim incident -- and with the church is responsible for millions of unnecessary deaths -- women and children in poor nations denied birth controls by the church constantly sabotaging international efforts to institute birth control -- I am not talking about abortion here, but such as condoms and other pregnancy blockers. Pick any poor nation and check the stats. One loses 1 in 9 women giving birth. Millions of children die of hunger and treatable diseases. And then there is AIDS. In the future I assume the record on this man will be set straight. There are many questions that have been raised about other Benedict abuses.
