Ronald Cummings, the father of a missing 6-year-old Satsuma girl is apparently heading for a divorce from his wife and his child’s stepmother, Misty Croslin-Cummings.
According to Ronald Cummings’ family law attorney, no paperwork has been filed, but the marriage will not last much longer.
97.3 The Sky is talking to attorney Brandon Beardsley this morning. We hope to have his interview posted on this site shortly.
Cummings, and 17-year-old Misty were married a few weeks after Ronald’s daughter Haleigh Cummings disappeared from his home in Satsuma. Misty was the last person to see Haleigh.

Haven’t you heard how you could beat a child & they don’t show effects until a later time, or when they fall asleep? (Of that nature?).
I have heard thousands of stories of child abuse where a parent BEATS a child, and they died a day later.

Brandon Beardsley is Ron’s attorney of record for things in the family law court. He is in the same law firm as Terry Shoemaker (the criminal attorney representing Ron in the charges involving Tommy Croslin - the “burglary & assault”). Mowrey, Shoemaker, Beardsley, PL.
IF Ron told his lawyers anything, they could never be held accountable for it. There is attorney-client privilege. The only thing attorneys are liable for is if a client tells an attorney s/he is thinking of committing a future crime. An attorney also cannot put a client on the stand to KNOWINGLY lie. That is purportrating a fraud upon the court. An attorney can be DISBARRED for that. Amongst a laundry list of reasons, that is just one of the reasons attorneys do not like his client’s to testify.
That is all HYPOTHETICAL, of course. I do not think Ron told his attorneys ANYTHING having to do with HaLeigh being missing.

The best way to pass a lie detector test is to take a valumm 30 min prior. Takes off the edge. My father used to study micro expressions. You’ll pass it everytime. To my knowledge Bundy used Xanax, and passed the test.

I heard Ron’s employer uses fingerprint ID to log in and out rather than a time card system that any coworker could stamp for him. However, once logged in to work, do they have to show their fingerprint to get out? Could Ron have just gone there to sign in, come back home, then returned to work?

I remember Crystal Sheffield saying that Ronald had abused her when they were together, and I think she even said he kicked her when she was pregnant — We can all HEAR him being verbally abusive to Misty, with all the names he calls her. Someone who is physically abusive in one relationship will almost certainly abuse in the next one - he scares me! Add in all the drugs and stress, and the situation can become really dangerous. I don’t like Ron either, but spreading lies does nothing to help find Haleigh.
What sticks out to me is that Ron and Misty both took polys with le, and le only seems concerned with Misty’s. Also, they never imply they feel she is guilty of what may have happened to Haleigh, only that she may be holding details back for fear of Ron or whatever that could help le put the pieces together to catch the perp.
And after watching the voice thing with TJ Ward, I have stated before that a test like that should be done objectively. As far as I am concerned as soon as he told her during the test that she was showing deception, the test would have been tainted. She should only be responding to the stress generated from the topic being discussed not fear of what the machine is reading. This is JUST HOW I FEEL.
I am not trying to be snarky, just feels like sometimes one small false statement can start a whole train of thought is essentially irrelevant because of the initial error.

Armando, I certainly appreciate your good intentions but I think there are a lot more effective things we can do besides contact the President about Haleigh. What do you think he’s going to do? Send in the Navy? The Marines?
We as citizens can put heavier pressure on the state of Florida from the State Attorney General’s Office on down. It’s more work for us to email or otherwise bombard these organizations with our messages but I’m sure we’re all willing to do it.
AND we can contact our own state legislators and lobby for stiffer laws and penalties and much more strict oversight of parolees who have harmed children.
I hope that the next thing I want to mention is not connected to Haleigh’s situation but it is something we could do for ALL children: There are ways that local LE offices can crack down and literally “round up” people who are involved in child pornography! Yes! I just read about it! I will try to find the article and post the link.
One Sheriff in a small area in Florida did it recently and arrested over 40 men ranging from teenagers to senior citizens in all walks of life! And all it takes? Is a Sheriff who WANTS TO DO IT! There is no reason it can’t happen everywhere.
So there are tons of things we can and should be doing right now instead of dumping the problem on the White House. I’m afraid then it would become a “political” situation. And sometimes that does more harm than good.
I am so glad if it is true Misty and Ron are headed for a divorce. These two would have never made a future together. He only wanted her so she could watch his kids but eventually something happened to Haleigh. Misty may have been good at watching them but something went wrong. I think no one wants to speak up because of the drugs involved. Oh well the story keeps going on. What’s next?

Personally I don’t think that whoever knows something or whoever the guilty party is will confess if the Pope, the President, or George Clooney went to Satsuma.
I think there are better things people can spend their time doing for Haleigh and for all children than trying to drag the President into it.
I don’t think its a waste of time at all, any attention is good, just thought if results are what you are after, state government may be a better aim. I find it hard to believe the president is going to step into an ongoing investigation for one missing girl in one area, when there are missing kids all over the US. I know it is what we all think about everyday, but what about all the other parents who are missing kids? How would they feel? This is the reason why the president is going to keep his nose out of it. What is he gonna do anyway? Are you suggesting that this case is not being solved because of something le is doing wrong.

Just remember this, even if Obama himself doesn’t physically do anything to help Haleigh, HE CAN and hopefully WILL make sure others get involved as well. It was just a few months ago I responded to one of these comments saying that I might contact our Gov (since I am a Floridian) about this case and maybe others since there had been no change in 6 months. Suddenly, within days, people actually started doing it! I was thrilled and amazed. Then before what, 2 weeks was out the sat a brand NEW team of investigators who were re-hashing the case, going over old leads, and movement started once again. I even read an email online from a Gov official who had been sent an email about this case and he was “Barking” to another to “get something going down there”. It wasn’t really handled by his office but he was making sure it got to the “right Place”. So Armando, I believe this CAN & WILL make a difference for Haleigh! It has already happened and it can happen again. Remember these people are elected officials and they usually do not want a lot of negative publicity. They will apply presssure, then others under pressure apply more pressure, then those they are pressuring finally POP! Let’s get em…whoever they are.

Now THAT’S a good example of doing something to help fight people who hurt children. And the article states that the only reason it doesn’t happen in more places is that the citizens have not demanded it! So there’s another place to lobby to help children- our own communities!
Maybe it’s not as glamorous and sensational as writing the White House but much more effective for many more children. IMO.

You are probably right. I doubt he would get involved, but I believe it’s worth trying anything at this point. This child has been missing way too long and someone knows something. Yes, I may have overstated the case about M2C. It just seemed like such a personal attack on Armando. Unwarrented as well. However, I do see the point that Pres Obama has a plate full and probably won’t be able to help personally, but how long would it take for him to make a call to the Head of the FBI and say “Hey, what’s going on with these missing kid cases? Can you apply some heat to Satsuma?” Maybe he will maybe he won’t, but it’s still worth a try. Just because it isn’t a perfect plan at the moment, doesn’t mean it can’t evolve into one at some point in the future, right? I definately do not seem Pres doing anything for Haleigh alone! That would be entirely out of the question and too biased, I agree. What I see happening is social reform, drug testing for parents once LE arrives on scene of crime (This is a biggie!), laws re-written to include the FBI into an investigation WITHOUT the locals having to give clearance (another biggie- they can help, but only so far as the locals will allow. Well, Ms Nancy called Ron out tonight. (if that’s what you want to call it) I’ve seen that woman jump out like the devil himself for less. What’s up with her not ripping Ron a new one like she does everyone else when she didn’t get a straight answer from him or his attorney. She had no problem treating Crystal like a lesser human being. Crystal has a daughter missing the same as Ron. She may not the win Mother of the year award, but she is still in pain over her child missing too.
I guess we could all read between the lines there. Ron did have the “deer in the headlights look” for a minute there when she told him for the first time she didn’t believe him. Lol

Ash…I too believe the Villiage statement. I have often said here and elsewhere that my precious G-Daughter is surrounded by a villiage of about 60 people who care for her and her welfare with most willing to give thier life to save hers. I know Ash Berry. It seems like everyone connected to Haleigh (by blood or marriage) would like for us all to “move on with our lives”, forget about Haleigh and let them move on with theirs. So many other children go missing and the world just forgets about them. I think they (the culprits, whomever they are) thought that since Haleigh was a girl from a poor trailer family, from a small town/area that there would be a search or two, PD/LE would investigate & find nothing (Country Boy can survive IMO), then everyone would move on to the next kid gone missing case. They could just move on along with thier lives and no one would be the wiser. That was what they wanted to happen. It could have been the case too. Had it not been for BNN (Simon & Jan), TJ Hart & William “Cobra” Staubs they would have gotten thier wish. NG is only still on the case because the afore mentioned are IMO. If not for them, she would be busy with someone else. How many people can you list whos lives would be benifited by Haleigh’s story going cold? Probably about 15. I could list them if you like.

I do not like to be rude to people, however I feel the need to speak out here. In every single BNN article about Haleigh, you are taking over the comment section. You are spouting off the same nonsense as Cobra “Take the tests Ron, take the tests”
If law enforcement was interested in Ron taking more tests, don’t you think they would be asking him to take more tests? Ron has already taken a test. LE does not seem concerned with his test. They do seem concerned with his alibi. They have not asked him to come back in again to talk. Ron is not under suspicion. If LE was interested in Ron taking more tests he would do it. Just because you some internet blogger wants him to do it does not mean he has to do it. Ron does not answer to you. He answers to LE. To them, he is not a suspect. You spouting off nonsense, even if you say it over and over does not make it TRUE. You can say it every day for the rest of your life and it still won’t make it true or valid. Ron owes you and the rest of the internet haters nothing. I would take that one step further and say that you (and the rest of the bloggers and people posting online) do not know anything about what Ron is doing to find Haleigh. You don’t know what he does, thinks or feels. To claim you do, and state he is doing nothing is absolutely appalling unless you are with him and know what he does day in and day out.
I also do not understand your need to attack bloggers that do not share your viewpoint. I’ve seen you attack several people today. I feel that is unnecessary and not professional. You do state you are a professional. There are better ways to to make a point, IMO.
That said, I think it is great that you want to do something to help Haleigh. I applaud anyone that takes initiative to help Haleigh. I have a suggestion for you. Rather than post about it in this comment section where it might get lost in the shuffle, especially when a new article is posted, maybe you could make a website? Some websites can even be made for free and you wouldn’t even have to pay a hosting fee. You can describe your plan for helping Haleigh, and maybe even post some of the emails you get, if they are anonymous or you get the permission of the authors. This would be a positive project to shine light on Haleigh. The last big project that was online for Haleigh was the one for the balloon launch for her 6th birthday. The website is still online I think and has beautiful pictures.
I hope you do not take offense to my post. I’m just trying to state my opinion. It gets tiring seeing so much FIGHTING in Haleigh’s thread. It’s distracting away from the SUBJECT, which SHOULD BE HALEIGH.

I’m glad no offense was taken. None was meant sincerely.
I’m sure you have noticed that this case drives most of us insane. I know that “most” people have good intentions too. Sometimes it’s hard to wade through the comments when there is bickering. I think alot of people have been guilty at 1 time or another.
I loved the pictures from Haleigh’s balloon launch. Seeing ppl from all over the country come together for Haleigh’s birthday to honor her. I wish that we could all do that everyday instead of arguing amongst ourselves. Afterall, it’s not about Crystal or Ron or Misty, and hating them or loving them. It’s really all about Haleigh. Or at least, it should be that way.
I wish you much luck w/your project. I hope you are able to get a website going. I’d love to read more about your plans; read letters and prayers from other ppl. I know that there are many talented ppl following this case that make very lovely pictures who might make pictures for your website if you do that, or use the ones they have already made. Just an idea.

I agree, there is too much bickering amongst those here that love and waant to find Hleigh.
It is my opinion that Ron and Misty are innocent, unfortunately we may never know the facts of that horrible night that Haleigh went missing.
I have had 2 opinions about who might have been involved, in the beginning (the first few days)I felt asthough missing sexual predator Chad Reynolds might have stumbled upon an oppurtunity to take Haleigh, but now I feel certain that Misty’s relatives are the purps.
My opinions are just that my opinions but I honestly feel Ron and Misty are innocent in this case. And if they are I cannot imagine the pain they are going through, my prayers are with them and especially Haleigh.
I pray she is safe and will be found soon!

ROFLMFAO….Okay, I about fell out of my chair laughing at whomever suggested a comparison between Ted Bundy & Ronald Cummings. PUH-LEAZE!!! Ted Bundy was a diabolical serial killer. Even IF Ronald Cummings had something to do with Haleigh’s disappearance OR MURDER…he couldn’t even COME CLOSE to the level of deviousness of Ted Bundy. Bad example if you are trying to convince us that Ronald could have faked his way through a poly.
So…I have a question that maybe one of you can answer? Does anyone have a transcript of the private poly that Misty flunked? Obviously we don’t have copies of the LE polys she took and failed. I’m sure she didn’t fail every question…so the real point about her failing polys is “what questions did she fail?” and “did she fail the same questions repeatedly?”
I’m not convinced that Misty hurt that baby. However, I do believe she knows what happened to her and the story she is giving is nothing but a lie to cover for SOMEONE. I don’t think its Ronald. I think she is scared that Ronald will kill her for being out with the kids when she should have been at home and then letting something happen to Haleigh. Remember that Ronald does have a history of violent behavior. Even on the 911 tape, you hear Misty wimpering and crying. I think more in FEAR of Ronald and, maybe, remorse for Haleigh.
Whatever happened, I don’t think it was intentional. I think you just have a lot of scared (drug-addicted) kids who are trying to keep the truth from coming out because that’s what kids do.

I have been watching this from the beginning. I can’t believe that a child or anyone can fall from the face of this earth.
As far as Ron goes he did take a lie dector test and passed as did his former girlfriend Crystal. BUT Misty failed 3 of them miserably.
My theory is that Misty does know something, Ron doesn’t. Tommy should be looked at more closely.
When Mistys mom made the statement that Misty and Ron knew more than what was being said. Well when things aren’t right don’t most girls talk to their mothers? This should maybe looked into more.
I heard from a friend that lives just outside Orlando that she knows Misty’s “New Friend” Donna and why Donna and her hubby are doing so much for Misty. I was told that Donna and her hubby (both in their 40’s) love having the young Misty join them for Threesomes. That would explain why this couple are so willing to spend their time and money on Misty. It explains alot. It might be a little difficult to find a girl that young to join up for Three-Ways when your old enough to be their mom and dad. Just sharing my thoughts. I thought it might shed a little light on the “new friend”
