I’ll start this update with a statement. I am sure that some brain dead idiot is going to threaten me with the FCC. Here is the answer, we can have ‘nipple slips’, we can have four letter words! The FCC have no bearing on this. So, forget it!
Now we have that cleared up, lets get to the story.
My panel today was Jan Barrett, TJ Hart, Denny Griffin, and William Cobra Staubs.
There was some movement (sideways) in the Caylee Anthony story, and we spent a few minutes discussing it. The bulk of the time though was spent on the still missing Haleigh Cummings.
The past week actually revealed little in the search for Haleigh Cummings, but it revealed a great deal about the press! At what point does the writer, or broadcaster say “Enough”.
Last week showed who is real and who is Memorex in the press!
What are the facts in the Haleigh Cummings case? I’ll be honest, I do not know. If I did, I would have written an article naming the culprit months ago.
The Haleigh Cummings story makes my head spin. But I do know that there are people that give a damn. TJ Hart stepped up to the plate this week, and both Jan and I say “Yay TJ”!
When you smell a rat, you do not buy into it. Other journalists opted to be swayed, but not TJ. He walked away from a bogus angle on a story, I can not tell you how proud I am to say I know him!
Todays program only touched the underbelly of the news business. It is unfortunate that it took time away from the search for Haleigh Cummings, but, it might just give the average reader a new insight into the ugly world of News.

T.J., I respect you even more. Thank you from “walking” away from the Nancy Grace Show. You made the right decision. I think you can not afford to lose your credibility or integrity. You are a Program Director with Sky 97.3 FM and I can clearly see the conflict that reporting would become if you continued your association with the NG Show.
I watched Nancy Grace the day she had you on the show for a few seconds, the camera cut you and you never came back on. Your time is very valuable. In my opinion, it was rude of Nancy to do that especially since you used your valuable time to travel to Jacksonville to make an “in-person” appearance. But it does not surprise me because that is the way Nancy treats her guests!
I wish you the best, T.J. Without a doubt, you have worked very hard on the Haleigh Cummings case. Some folks are quick to criticize your efforts but they fail to understand you don’t have to share any info with us and for a very long time the major TV stations did not cover Haleigh but you, Simon, Jan and Cobra provided info to us. Thank you for your efforts.

D Kerr, where do you get the information that you’ve stated above? As far as I’ve heard Misty went away for a few days, Ron and Jr joined her for one day in a park. All paid for by Ron’s mother’s boy friend. THe only other trip I’m aware of was the one up to NY to be on the TV show right after Haleigh went missing.
Ron quit his job so I don’t think he’s eligible for unemployment. If he has money it must be from Crystal’s long overdue child support payments. So what if Misty was in the Green Room when Teresa went on TV? She has to be someplace! And WE do not HAVE to know where she is every second. Obviously the girl wasn’t hiding! LOL!
How do you know what they do all day? Watch TV? Play checkers?
And how are Ron or Misty getting any money from donations sent to help find Haleigh when the Haleighbug center was set up and is run by CRYSTAL! It’s the only place I know of to send funds for that purpose.
If you know these things for fact maybe you could share your sources at least with TJ or someone.
Otherwise this is the kind of misleading and slanderous rumormongering that only gets this whole case even more out of whack than it is.
Armando, you may know this and believe that most other people know but in the interests of keeping down the masses of misinformation that fill up this blog, please let me clarify for those who do not know that England’s Boxing Day is a public holiday the day after Christmas. Traditionally, this was the day to open the Christmas box - a box where people placed gifts to give to the poor. It has NOTHING to do with “boxing” as in fighting.
I have worked in a prison system as a shrink and I can tell you this, both sides of these families are playing games and covering up.
Is there any true timeline up to a certain point that we know for sure?
Leaving out all the people who would have some sort of agenda to lie?
Would the schoolteacher or Bus driver be the only ones who we can believe that the last time Haleigh was seen?

Is this for real, after TJ actually sees Misty the other night sitting in the “Green room”. There should be a law.
I want to address the question asked on the program yesterday. “Why does no one confront Ron & Misty?” My point is, what do you want TJ or any other reported to do? What other questions are there to ask that LE or reporters haven’t asked over & over? To have asked Misty any more than TJ did that day, in the green room, would have been rude. Misty is NOT going to talk to anyone that is rude to her. She walked out on LE when they were rude. The best chance TJ or any other reporter has of getting her to even talk to them is by being fairly polite and using common courtesy with her. Which is exactly what TJ did and she answered more questions for him then NG can get her to answer on any of her interviews. I don’t think she said, “I don’t know” one time to TJ and she didn’t just tell him to stick it and walk out. I can tell you I am almost old enough to be Misty’s grandmother but if I were her and some of yall talked to me like you talk about her on this blog all I would tell you is cram it and I have never hurt or neglected any child on purpose in my life. TJ is working his hardest and trying his best to do the right thing for Haleigh and I am thankful for all he, Cobra, Jan and Simon had done to keep her name in the spot light. Thanks, JMO, Treece

Hell, for all we know whoever did whatever with this little girl, is 8 months INNOCENT until proven guilty.

Misty has repeated her story SO many times that I’m pretty sure she says it in her sleep now.
If my son’s new gf (who didn’t even know Haleigh’s birthday on the 911 call) failed a polygraph test, there’s no way I would be all SUPPORTING Her with my grandchild.
Then again, Ted Bundy passed a polygraph test and we all know he is far GUILTY.
Again, no one knows. No one will ever know.

Well said WithACherryOnTop. The only way someone is going to give up the guilty parties is when they are hurting for their drugs and the reward money becomes the only way for them to get it. These low lifes spend most of their time in and out of jail. They are not about to “fess up” for nothing.

Wasn’t that a hoot? Misty didn’t know when her ‘daughter’ was born and Ronald, who surely knew when Haleigh was born, refused to tell the 911 operator.
During her call to 911, Misty misleads the operator.
She led her to believe that Haleigh was her ‘daughter’, and that Ronald was her ‘husband’.
Misty Croslin was the live-in girlfriend of Haleigh’s father, and Haleigh’s babysitter, when she made the 911 call.
But the 911 operator thought she was talking to Haleigh’s mother, Ronald’s wife; because that is what Misty Croslin wanted her to believe.
Never in the 911 call did she correct the operator by telling her she was not Haleigh’s parent or Ronald’s wife.
The initial report to 911 indicates Haleigh’s mother called and reported her daughter missing.

Anything is possible when dealing with a child, but my guess would be that after looking around in the trailer and not finding her she would be crying and huddled up somewhere. The thing that has me the most confused about all of this is we hear about sooooooooooo many people involved, parties , people involved with drugs, trunks of cars being cleaned out, misty and ron fighting, ron and tommy fighting, ron and hank fighting, grandma in jail, basically everyone talking about each other and no one has stepped up for one little 6 years old girl and told what happened to her. May God have mercy on their souls, I don’t know if I could be that generous.
I think Ronald Cummings truly loves his daughter and he’s doing his best under the circumstances. It’s just so sad with this 2 cases, and especially Caylee Anthony’s case, where we know 99% the mother did it and it took Caylee’s death to win her parents affection. They are out there trying to spin the whole thing around to cast doubt, but people are no fools. They can only fool themselves.
P.S. I do love Nancy Grace though. I can’t turn the channel when she’s on.

You seem to be letting your hatred for Misty and Ronald cloud the facts. I know some people get confused by the facts, I assume that wouldn’t be someone like yourself. So here goes.
First question from operator “You can’t find what?”. Misty: “MY daughter”. She doesn’t say “our”.
In one media interview Misty said “I loved her like she was MY own.” In another interview she said Haleigh looked at her like a MOTHER. In a speech reversal she says “I’ll bet you our DAUGHTER’S dead.” Seems like Misty might actually think of Haleigh as her daughter, isn’t that awful?
She never mentions once to the operator she was Ronald’s wife. The operator assumes Ronald is her husband. The operator never asked Misty if he was her husband. Neither one of them tell the operator they are husband and wife. In the call back from the operator, the operator asks Ron if she could speak to his wife. He hands the phone to Misty. He doesn’t tell the operator that Misty isn’t his wife first. Obviously a planned cover up to something more sinister! Certainly the operator is in on the ruse too?!
Misty is calling under extremely stressful conditions. Never mind she is dealing with Ron in the background, justifiably ranting and raving. Do you really think someone should stop, and give their life story to an operator when their trying to get police to their house in an emergency?

Read the transcript, and don’t even try to pull a Misty Croslin by lieing and saying what she said to the 911 operator is different than what is printed on the transcripts.

It would have taken her all of a second to correct the operator by saying something to the effect of “Oh, he’s my boyfriend, and I’m the babysitter”.

I agree with most of you that Misty Croslin-Cummings is hiding something. She puts on a good front but, a child is still missing. She knows exactly where that baby is but she is afraid to tell it. I almost bet when we find out the real truth, if ever, she has known all along. How the heck do you sleep through someone walking in your bedroom? Come on! You’re right, Justice. Studies have shown that people hear in reverse speech what they are told is in it before they hear it, so I experimented myself.
I tested a few ‘reversals’ by listening first instead of first reading what the presenter claimed was in the reverse speech, and then listened to the same reversals after reading what the presenters asserted was audible in the reversals.
After reading what the presenters claimed was in the reversals, I could somewhat make out what they claimed was said in the reversals, although it still wasn’t clearly discernable that what the presenter claimed was being said ‘in reverse’ was actually being spoken.
Every time I didn’t first read what the presenters claimed was spoken in reversals, all I heard was mumble-jumble.
If it’s reverse speech, ShanwHS, everyone should be able to hear it without you first telling them, and then replaying it over, and over again.

I have said this before and I guess it is a waste to say it again BUT how do we know how many tears Misty has cried? How do we know how much that family has grieved? We don’t! We can’t! There are many things I agree with you on. The wedding was untimely and I think that had much more to do with protecting Ron from stat.rape then it did anything else. I also think Misty is hiding something probably many things but we don’t know what or why. I do agree she has lied about some stuff. I also think it is wrong how she has been singled out to have all the pressure put on her. I just don’t think we have the right to crucify her until we have some more facts. To m2c,for your information,my information comes from the same place yours,the bloggs,and the news,I read everything about Haleigh,and some donations come from and to other place other than HaleighBug.People that knows Ronald and Misty do not give to Haleighbug.There are others collecting for her cause.As for the green room that was in one of the news reports and I do believe on Simoms blogg as well but then I am not sure.There is other sights that report their findings.So before you think you are the only one that has a right to your opinion read everything,not just what this blogg has to say.As for Misty and Ron it and mommy dearest paying for it,sounds like you are pretty close to them,as that was never in the news.That man want even hold down a job,oh but before he took those children did he pay child support?He was in and out of trouble,running teenage girls,making babies,and doing drugs.Does he support his other child? When I was living with a former fiance he had a child from a previous marriage and I called him our son… because the plan was that we were to marry and he would have become my son. My Step Dad is more of a father than my real one ever has been. There is such a thing as an excited utterance and it carries much credence in a court of law. Misty could well have considered herself engaged to Ronald, and viewed/views HaLeigh and Jr as her childern. Being so, it is my opinion that it was not a “lie” just a frightened young woman making a 911 call and begging for help. The fact that the dispatcher did not ask for clarification and none was given to me is not sinister, it was extraneous information that could be and was clarified when there were officers dispatched to the scene and a report was filed.
As far as Jordan, there is no proof that he is Ronald’s child, look at the mother and tell me if you believe she is the monogomous type…
She confirmed that there had been no paternity test and that she wanted nothing to do with Ronald so did not want to try and obtain child support from him. So doesn’t that make you wonder why her Mother got in trouble for assaulting Misty ???

Just because Amber doesn’t want to persue a paternity test does not mean the child isn’t Rons. I know several women who refuse to press paternity due to the fact that they don’t want to share thier child with the male. Mostly due to abusive tendancies. They don’t want to hand thier child over to thier ex every other weekend while he does what he does. (Most times drugs, drinking, young girls, fights, ect) Just remember while she isn’t pressing him for child support and paternity…she can NOT collect ANY state benefits. No Medicaid, no food stamps, no cash bennies. There must be a good reason for her to do this.

Haleigh Cummings has a mother - her name is Crystal Sheffield.
Misty Croslin was never Haleigh’s mother, she was never Haleigh’s step-mother. She was Ronald’s child lover and Haleigh’s babysitter of 6 months.
She wasn’t even a reliable babysitter for Haleigh, as evidenced by her partying for days before the morning she reported Haleigh missing.
Yet, she told the 911 operator that Haleigh was her daughter.
No speculating about it, she lied. Ronald Cummings was not her fiance at the time, but even if he were - her telling a 911 operator that she is the mother of Crystal Sheffield’s child would still be a lie.
The point is, she established herself as less than truthful. She had opportunity during the 911 call to identify herself as not the biological mother of Haleigh, and not the legal wife of Ronald, but instead kept up the charade.
I’ve heard complaints that Haleigh’s mother - Crystal Sheffield, did not arrive in Satsuma as quickly as some expected a caring mother would.
Well, law enforcement was under the impression Haleigh’s mother called 911. Believing Haleigh’s mother and father called to report their daughter missing, law enforcement would have had no reason to call Crystal Sheffield right away.
My guess is Ronald Cummings called Crystal at some point, but the letting on that Misty was Haleigh’s mother was wrong, and it was certainly a lie.
Since when is a teen aged girl who babysits her boyfriend’s daughter over 6 months, when she isn’t partying, a mother?

That is not correct. If a woman does not know the paternity of her child (for example, she has been involved with numerous men), that does not exclude the mother from collected benefits. The person states the father is unknown & has to sign a waiver form. An innocent child is not going to me made to suffer because a mother slept around.
You said there is probably a good reason Amber does not want a paternity test. One good reason could be she knows the test will show Ron is not the father. If he is the father, she owes it to her child to let her son know his father. Then again, she isn’t even being a mother is she? Rather, she is in jail letting her grandmother raise the baby. Even prior to be jailed, she was off living her own life, giving little thought to her child. Hopefully she has sobered up in jail and will clean up her life when she gets out and start thinking about her child and not only herself. MOO.
I think Misty pretended she was Haleigh’s mother because she knew that telling the 911 operator that the child missing had been left in the care of the father’s underage lover/babysitter just back from a weekend of partying, didn’t sound as good.

They let him get away with that, so I wonder what else they’ve let him get away with.
They could have had Ronald Cummings in for questioning from the beginning, just by arresting him for having an unlawful relationship with the teenager whom he left Haleigh with.
The 911 operator noted Haleigh’s mother called and reported her daughter missing, and that the mother last saw Haleigh while she was cleaning and Haleigh was sleeping.
The 911 operator asked when Haleigh was born, but the teenager pretending to be her mother did not know, and Haleigh’s father refused to tell.
I’ll tell ya, Crystal Sheffield has got to be a very, very gentle soul. When, if, Haleigh is found, Crystal should gain full custody.

The child could have died earlier in the day and he went to work to have an “alibi” for himself while Misty went and hid the body or dumped her in a ditch or alligator infested pond etc when it was done she calls the cops to make it look “real” only she didn’t have her story all worked out she was panicked and that’s why it’s different everytime and why she didnt pass a poly she’s LYING .It would be real nice if he was innocent of any wrong doing, but it’s not likely considering he married HER while his child is missing .Maybe he didn’t want her to testify against him and vice versa.

You are incorrect. If a woman claims to not know who the father is they are obligated to test up to 5 men for paternity. (At least here in FL) I have realtives who tried it. They were able to “pull it off” for the first 2 yrs of the childs life, then the DCFS came a callin. ither prove paternity or loose all benefits. No matter who is raising this child of Ambers, they can not recieve state assistance without proving paternity. My G-Daughter just turned 2 in August. Her paternity test was ordered in August. It just came back as 99.985% towards her ex being the father. We all (her parents, his parents, families ect) knew it already, it was just a formality for Child Support Services. Even if a female insists that the father was a one night stand whom they didn’t know a last name for or address, ect it is still followed up on as much as possible. If it is Ron’s I hope he gets another job real soon as he’s about to be a couple of yrs behind in child support. Eventually it will come out, trust me.
Not to mention, if I were Amber, I would have denied Ron as father due to the fact that Misty would have been playing house with her baby too. Isn’t that what Misty was planning? She told Amber on her myspace that she took her man and will take her baby too! What if Ambers baby had been there on visitation the night that Haleigh went missing. Who knows, Amber’s baby might be missing as well. That’s grounds enough for me. I wouldn’t want to prove paternity either.
