However, I do question why some go into police work in the first place -- to have power over others and carry a gun? -- sometimes their motives are way less than honorable, and these are the ones who are dangerous. Look at the off-duty cop who was drunk and ran over a woman and killed her, and his blood alcohol level wasn't tested until 7-8 hours later, and suprise, surprise - it then read 0.0. And the Malibu police station that "offered" to let the now-missing woman SLEEP IN THEIR LOBBY AND GET HER BREAKFAST IN THE MORNING!! OMG - there is no way in hell they would do that. And I don't understand -- when these things happen and an "investigation" ensues, WHY is the "investigation" done internally? Guess what they're gonna come up with??? Disgusting.
