First of all I want to ask Whoopi Goldberg what "rape-rape" is exactly???? NOt only that, was she there? Did she witness the act? No .... then shuddup please. Secondly I agree with stormgardner. I too liked Debra Winger but she is off my list too. As well as anyone else that supports this molesting freak. Thirdly, if I was in some sort of trouble and one of my staunch supporters was Woody Allen, I'd hide out forever in shame. Not much to be proud of there Roman! Lastly, b/c this thing (Polanski) is rich and famous, the victim is forced to relive the nightmare. I don't blame her for wanting it to just go away after all of this time. However, the fact that she is being revictimized b/c this old lech is continually in the news, dragging her along with, is no reason for him to go unpunished. HIs so-called talent is no reason to give him a pass .... quite the opposite in fact. He should be held to the highest letter of the law, thereby setting an example and sending a message to all. I have a 12 yr old daughter and if some freak laid a hand on her (not to mention drug her as well), I wouldn't rest until the perv was brought to justice. Why shouldn't everyone be cheering the fact this nasty old thing hasn't been finally locked up? Perhaps, we are embarassed it hasn't happened before now? Beats me, but I don't see his behavior, as much in the past as it was, being anything like acceptable. Passing away in a foreign prison is too good for him, bring him home and let him have a look at life without parole amongst his peers (or at least those who believe his peers are amongst the most vile scum on earth).
