Certainly I know those apts - I used to work at Memorial. I lived at Dupont Gardens - lots of stuff going on over there, too - and probably worse!

Things are bad all over, and I believe it has to change (ever heard about 2012?) This won’t go on much longer - just believe and trust that all will be well. Keep a clear focus in your mind of what you want in your life — as bad as things are, good is going to overcome evil. I was a single mother also and I know it is hard. Just get a clear focus and keep it — be the person you WANT to be always. You are going to be part of the solution, that much is clear.

Thanks alot i blocked it cause i was so young it was here recently that i put two and two together and realized what that man was doin any way name of apt was kentwood and driftwood off of university blud now i an a single mom got to stay on my toes cause no matter how good a parent stuff like this happens in el or any state people have no conscience but thats crazy they sleep and tu gets gone glad they are not hurt

I also lived in Jacksonville - things are wild there, there are so many instances of that happening that we never hear about. The apt complex, if they knew, would never let that information out so that they don’t hinder renting apartments. It’s sickening. I live in SW FL (Venice) now, and at my apt complex about 2 months ago, someone had the screen cut out of their porch and their wide-screen TV stolen - WHILE THEY WERE UPSTAIRS SLEEPING. That is home invasion. I went to the rental office and said we need to let people know — they got mad at me. This is what is going on these days - sorry that happened to you - I know it must have been horrible.

Okay this is kind of off subject but when i was a kid i was raised in jacksonville and we lived in apt complex my mom and some other members of fam were swimmin and i wanted to ride my bike this man in a truck pulled up he didnt have a shirt on and he asked me where the office was for the apt i know now it had to be a wk end or my mom wouldn have been home any way he pulled out his private part and i hauled ass on my bike if i wouldn have been a smart kid i would b gone but fl is bad news thats the point

But just look at Mitrice Richardson missing in Malibu for 11 days now — the police SPOKESPERSON says that the police offered to let her sleep in the lobby — THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL THEY WOULD DO THAT!!!! — So, who approved of that little ditty - had to be the police chief, right? That isn’t just one cop lying, that is their department. What is really great about this (not great, and I’m horrified that Mitrice is missing), is that the police department did not count on Mitrice’s parents being so intelligent. They have everything that happened, all phone calls and info, and the police dept never counted on this.

Just imagine how many times this kind of thing happens when there is no one there to refute what they say.

John Contini said it - who is going to protect us from the police?

They seem to just have free reign unless they are caught, and even if they are, they just lie.

Simon - I live in Florida and I cannot agree with you more. You think of the lush beaches, beautiful sand, . . . it used to be like that, I’m sure, but no more.

When you hear of something horrible or completely stupid, it is either Florida, Illinois, or Texas.

In Florida’s case, I think the low-life from other states think, “let’s go to Florida! We can sleep on the beach!” And they get here - drugs are here (coming straight up the state) - and they stay. It’s not safe here anymore.
