You said...

"If the NRA had full sway, it might well argue that we should abolish our police forces and simply arm each citizen with self-defense weapons."

Your first sentence is based in such biased ignorance that I doubt many read past it. Nonetheless, I did.

You said...

"Analogously the crash last year happened because we had so weakened our regulatory defenses that our corporations could run amuck, exploiting any and all and leaving not only our nation, but the globe as a whole in one hell of an economic mess."

and...

"Can Obama and our caring Democrats break the stranglehold of our lying media and rescue us from more disasters to come?"

You might want to check on the congressional hearings regarding Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac which were held in 2004. I've linked it below so you may educate yourself on the fact that your "caring democrats" were the ones who "weakened our regulatory defenses" by railing against regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

As always, your liberal rants have no basis in fact. Keep drinking your Kool-Aid, Ed!

governments and corporations are one and the same.

the only difference is that governments use violence and corporations don't (they buy violence from the government, or more we--the poor-- subsidise it).

if you think the government is on our side, read this:

can I guess that you went to government school?

You lost me at your first sentence, which is just plain ignorant. The NRA isn't interested in abolishing the army so that only individuals can protect the country.

With that kind of stupidity in your first sentence, why bother to read the rest?
