Today’s program was illuminating. Although I talk often with our panel one on one, it is rare that we we all get to share our thoughts en-mass. It has been a busy and frustrating few days in the search for Haleigh Cummings. Friday and Saturday were two insane days for people trying to report the story.
It reached a crescendo Saturday, before you could even publish a story, the story had mysteriously changed. It all depended on who you talked to at the PCSO. The draining of the pond was just an exercise, the draining of the pond was related to the pot grow-op bust, the draining of the pond was to recover stolen vehicles. Sometimes they even threw in a few comments about maybe they would find evidence related to Haleigh Cummings disappearance. About the only consistent thread was that they did not expect to find Haleigh’s body.
The other hot ticket item this week is that Misty Croslin’s older brother Tommy found himself arrested on theft and gun possession charges. Even worse he is being held on a bank account busting $50,004, which is definitely outside the realm of the Croslin’s abililities.
We had an ‘all star’ panel on the show, joining me were my wife Jan, TJ Hart, Art Harris, William Cobra Staubs, and Denny Griffin. I think it is fair to describe it as a very lively exchange. You can listen to the entire program here.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackYes, Simon, great show yesterday. A lot of info
discussed. You could hear the frustration and
weariness in your voices. Especially TJ sounded so tired and drained from this. I am praying for you all. Keep up the good work, you guys are the reason this case is still moving.
Yes, Simon it was a great show, but left so many questions still to be answered.. I so have a problem with the multi stories put out by the le.. I look at life with it’s either one or the other. It is as if, they gave out a mulitple choice of what we could chose to believe. And amazing that they are not all on one track. I have always believed that the Sheriff would immediately tell his entire staff. This is all we are to say, don’t play games with the Media, and if he doesn’t want the media told, he should have put a gag order out. Of course, Cobra leads us to believe that there are those in the Dept. that have their own agenda’s. If that is the case, the unemployment line is right over there.. Hit it!!
Overall I am a great supporter of LE. However I’ll also be the first to admit that they are humans too. Some are better than others at their jobs just like everywhere else. IMO Hardy was voted into a job he had no business – and no experience – in doing. Maybe that would have been okay if crime in the area had stayed pretty much whatever “normal” is there. But with Haleigh’s disappearance, Hardy’s INexperience effed things up from the get-go. In part because he had fired the two detectives with the most experience because – and only because – they were part of the previous administration. I guess that’s the accepted, “politically” appropriate thing to do but the timing could not have been worse for poor Haleigh. And Hardy has also assigned at least three different people to be “lead” detective so far on this case. So if his department is in a shambles it is because it’s leader is a boob and has not handled this right (doesn’t know how) from the beginning. Haleigh is paying for that and whoever did this is benefitting from it. Hardy doesn’t know how to run an investigation, how to delegate to the right people, or how to handle the media/public or pretty much anything else that I can see so far. It would be nice if the FBI or FDLE could take over and send him to the unemployment line. Then maybe something would happen. But it’s been too long now. If there is any kind of a positive outcome to this situation (including finding Haleigh AND finding/convicting the person responsible) it will be in SPITE of Hardy not because of him.
This message is for Cobra,.
Why would you even consider to bail out Tommy Croslin when it is apparent PCSO and the JUDGE want him right where he is?
You said you had someone else that was going to do it, per your request. Cobra, you have been begging for funds for months now. You claim this case has busted your pocketbook and put you in debt.
How can you put another person in hock with a character like Tommy Croslin who doesn’t have two dimes to rub together and nothing to lose if he bolted after being released on bond? Id the person you were asking to pay the bond a buddy or friend of yours? I can see you were really, really, looking out for his welfare. NOT.
So, Tommy pulled you out of a mud puddle, and saved your life…hmmm..Sounds like you should offer him a job to work with you when you get your license back (God Forbid), Tommy has more sense than you and you need this Guardian Angel by your side and Tommy needs the work.
You bailed out Nay Nay and Amber when it was obvious LE wanted them in the slammer.
Then you wanted to bail out Tommy…when LE and the JUDGE wanted him in the slammer.
Cobra, USE YOUR HEAD. Thank you very much. No, I am not a hater, your judgement stinks, plain and simple. Next time you try to bail out a player on this case, I hope you are booked for interfering with an investigation.
Cobra, I hope you read this. You need to hear it.
Harry
Harry:
Nice to see you on here. I feel mostly the same as you and wonder where Cobra gets the idea he can do this better than le. With these people behind bars there is more chance of leverage for le to get the info they need to do their jobs. I personnally respect le for keeping their investigation under wraps. I think they are trying their best to keep this case from being the same as the Casey Anthony case. I think all the stuff that has been released in that case is wrong whether the girl is guilty or not. LE needs to see family visit videos, not the public.
Harry, I was hoping Cobra would answer your post but since he didn’t I want to speak up for his defense. I think as soon as he found out le wanted tc to stay in, Cobra dropped the idea. Why would he do it anyway? Well, I can only speculate but I think it is a combination of reasons. One being that he feels like Tommy helped him in the swamp and he is grateful for that. I also feel that Cobra KNOWS that Tommy did not kill Haleigh or he wouldn’t have considered bailing him out. JMO but I believe Cobra may have made some mistakes with NayNay etc but I also believe that his heart is in the right place and he has sincerely had Haleigh’s best interest in his decisions. Treece

Cobra knows no such thing!!! How would COBRA know?
Due to Tommy being in jail there is now info about him checking on Misty and she wasn’t home. This is a big break and makes Ronald look like the liar he is.
IF Cobra had his way, it is possible this info would have never have been revealed.
Cobra doesn’t have a pot to piss in, per what he says, he has no business spending other people’s money for a loser like Tommy Croslin.
He needs to let LE do their job and if he doesn’t, he should be arrested. That is my opinion.
Susan, we are all entitled to our opinions. But this was no breaking news to le. They have had their phone records for months. It also proves nothing, according to his stmt he knocked, she didn’t answer. IF??? her story is true, she could have just turned off the tv & crashed herself. Now I don’t believe her story, but I am just saying this “news” is no big deal and proves nothing. It is obvious that we have extremely different views of Cobra and that’s ok. I agree to disagree. Have a good night.Treece
No big deal, and this is why LE has offered to put Misty under police protection, confirmed by Mr. Fields, her atty. Yea right.
Whatever Treece, if you have the hots for Cobra, that’s on you, but he needs to mind his own business.
Oh and Treece, Yes, we are all entitled to our opinions..and I posted mine. It is you that has the problem.
Do you work for BNN as a moderator or do you just have no life? Serious question. You are always trying to set someone straight. Don’t bother.
Susan, I am sorry if my post offended you. “Hots for Cobra” you just gave my husband a big laugh. Listening to BNN and watching Haleigh’s case is something he & I do together. I don’t work for BNN but I believe Simon, Jan, TJ and Cobra seriously have done their best for Haleigh.
I don’t live anywhere near any of them or know them personally but I respect what they have done for her. I don’t think I have a problem, certainly not with you. I guess my mistake was in thinking you would like some feed back to your post.
One thing we possibly agree on is that I wish Misty would take that police protection offer.
If you have read my post I feel sorry for her and don’t feel that she has had a fair deal. If I were her I would be scared enough to want the police protection. I don’t think Mr Fields confirmed the offer he just said, “that’s what Misty told him”. And I have a wonderful, blessed life, thank you. Treece
You know Treece, I kinda doubt the husband thing.
You claim this admission about Tommy is nothing new, this is where you would be wrong. It is a direct result of Tommy being jailed. Now, if Cobra bailed him, it is probable LE would not have gotten this information.
SO YOU ARE WRONG, now, just let people post their opinions and YOU Mind your own business. If I wanted to hear from you, I would have asked.
CLIP FROM ART HARRIS
In a jailhouse interview with detectives Thursday, Tommy said he banged on the door, saw no lights on, heard no sounds from inside and left when it appeared no one was home, said Capt. Dominic Piscitello, head of the Haleigh Cummings task force, in an interview with The Bald Truth. “It’s the first time someone other than Ronald’s grandmother admits they were at the trailer that night.”
