Hi Simon, and thank you for all your work and support covering/keeping this story alive. Thank you also for printing the truth about Mr. Shehada and my sweet son, Lawrence McCoy II. Your contribution and hard work keeps my faith in the media and confidence in humanity going. I appreciate everything you, your staff, and Mr. Contini and the legal defense team have done.

Sincerely,

A few more things to think about is both the local and State's liability in all of this.
I am shocked that more media networks are not covering this situation. I am also shocked that the citizens of that state are not outraged themselves.
Tax payer dollars is what funds law enforcement. The people want it but in this case they are not getting what they paid for and to make matters worse there could be a lot more money on the line by way of possible wrongful death lawsuits to the families of the two victims.
This is no time for that local Le to try to cover anything up or hide facts involving the cases.
People from everywhere are now looking at this and questioning everything about these two men's deaths by a police officer and how the entire situation is being handled.
Firstly if Le could guarantee that all bases were covered as far as within the dept's own requirements and protocol measures to ensure that each individual officer is meeting stringent standards the liability might not be focused so squarely upon the Dept such as it is.
Officer Tavss had some type of history of drug use from what I have heard. Was this officer randomly tested at least?
I have so many thoughts and questions but for now my main consideration, sad to say, is focused on the Dept itself.

I'm listening to the show right now and a few thoughts cross my mind.
One is that it is sad that one or a few bad apples can ruin the whole bunch. That is how it works and it is unfair. Igf I heard it correctly there were six (6) officers who had issue with Mr. Tavss behaviors etc...
Who ignored those complaining officers and why?
Two people are now dead and very possibly due to lack of accountability.
IMO That to me is a huge issue.
Thanks for the article and show.
