I think that the answer to that question is a resounding YES. Although last nights arrest of Hank Thomas Croslin Jr may not seem intrinsic in the case, it actually might be a catalyst to something bigger. Last Sunday TJ made a comment on the radio program that I did find humorous, but it also contained a wealth of information “there are so many Croslin’s under the bus, they are getting tangled around the axle”. Well here goes another one!
What has been reported is that Hank Jr. was in possession of firearms, one in particular was stolen. Mere possession violates the Restraining Order that his younger sister Misty obtained against him. What has not been reported are the circumstances surrounding this arrest. I have had my ear close to the ground, and I do not think this is the appropriate time to discuss the circumstances, but if my sources are correct, the fireworks are just beginning.
Hank Thomas Croslin Jr is being held on a $50,004 bond, this is likely a little more than he has in his checking account. In fact it has been said that he and his wife were getting ready to relocate to Massachusetts, and to facilitate the move had been having a Yard Sale. Presumably now his wife is having a Bail Sale!
Now the question is, how long will he be sitting in an overcrowded jail? I would not wish to try and out guess Law Enforcement, but I am sure they would like him to sit tight for a while. Nothing beats a little suffering and denial to loosen up the vocal chords.
The Croslin family have pretty much left Putnam, his father and mother scooted to Tennessee last weekend, that really only leaves his younger sister Misty. I doubt that Misty has $5k to plonk down to spring Hank Thomas, and I seriously doubt that Ronald Cummings would permit her to do so. Ratgate is still a factor!

According to an arrest report, Croslin and his mother visited the former neighbor in the 200 block of Sunglow Avenue in Satsuma in August. Marvin Martin told deputies he later discovered the gun missing but that it was returned after he contacted
“When he discovered the gun missing, he says he then called Hank Jr.’s sister-in-law and told her he knew either Hank or his mother took the gun and he wanted it back or he’d call police.
The victim then told the deputy that just a couple of hours later, Hank’s mother and father came to his house and returned the gun.
He said Hank’s mother told him Hank stole the gun and hid it in the shed behind his home. He also said he wasn’t sure if Hank or his mother had actually stolen it, but he suspected Hank.
The deputy then went to Hank’s mother’s home to talk to her, but she wasn’t home. He says he left his card and cell phone number asking her to contact him.
Monday, he went back to the home, and she still wasn’t there.
Someone told the deputy that she and Hank Sr. had moved to Tennessee over the weekend and weren’t coming back.”

Melvin R. Martin’s (the name in the article was wrong. It’s Melvin not Marvin). Action News has stated the man is 76 year’s old and used to be a neighbor of Hank and Lisa.

Tommy stole a gun, and did not return it. Melvin contacted the family on several times. He called Chelsea. He stopped by the home to talk to Lisa. His efforts were in vain.

Hi, mlee! - A lot of people (probably Tommy, too) do not have or need reasons to want to have a gun. They just want to have a gun. Preferably more than one. Most don’t hunt. Most of the guns these people have are not for hunting (anything other than humans, anyway). So he didn’t need a reason the way you’re thinking above. He “needed/wanted” a gun because he’s the kind of guy he is. I can’t explain it because I don’t understand that mentality.
If his stealing that gun was shortly after having to give up whatever guns he had when Misty put the restraining order on him, then the “reason” is because he “wanted a gun!” LOL!

The RO on Tommy was put on him on 9-9 and he had 48 hrs to turn in his guns. The thefts happened sometime in August.

I just read the Jacksonville news about Hank Thomas Croslin Jr getting arrested.In the story the police said they want to make it clear that his arrested had NOTHING to do with Haleigh’s disappearance.I don’t believe we are any closer in finding Haleigh just because this guy was arrested.I still believe Misty did something and knows where Haleigh is.

This is what Hank’s wife had to say about Hank being arrested.
Hank Jr.’s wife tells Action News her husband is doing okay inside the Putnam County Jail. She also says they do not have the money to bail him out, so they will wait and see what happens with his court case.
The truck he all of a sudden sold like Misty said in her voice analysis, maybe. I’ve been wondering when will they check on that. Maybe they are now. The fact that the Croslin’s are all apparently running away. Hello! The Cummings aren’t trying to run. Sheffield isn’t trying to run away. Back on a previous statement. He works in construction. He would have better access to things like…cement blocks. I know trailers are sometimes propped up on cinder blocks, but I bet it would be difficult for Misty to pick one up. Possibly Misty has a hunch or had help. Not sure about that yet, but ever since Misty mentioned that red truck being sold I’ve wondered about Hank Jr.

Thank you mlee and Vaquera for filling me in on the info. It’s interesting that LE would arrest this dope when (a) the gun had already been returned to the owner (by his parents) and (b) the owner was not absolutely sure if Hank Jr had taken it or his mother. I know LE looked for her too but she’d already left the state. Anyway, it doesn’t really sound like the neighbor is pressing charges, the gun is returned, and so what’s with LE arresting Hank Jr? Maybe they have other reasons for wanting him in jail for a while. Like to keep him from skipping town like the rest of his family.
Also I’m still puzzled by the truck that this same dope sold a while back. Misty said he sold it, remember? I read that the title was in his mother’s name, not his, and that the title had not been signed over to the people who paid for it. So maybe that’s another charge?

Mlee, as to the why did he want the gun, I would believe it was either for protection or to commit a crime thinking that he wouldn’t be a suspect since he isn’t supposed to have a gun.
So I’d say this to Misty and Ron, if you didn’t do anything to provoke him into thinking his life was in danger, then you need to watch out if and when he gets out. Maybe Misty was right on when she had the protection order made permanant.

Maybe, Tommy stole the gun because he is afraid of Ron. He knows Ron, usually, carries a gun.
The first thing that caught my attention was that he hid the gun in a shed in the back of his house. I am sure LE has already searched there but, maybe, they need to bring dogs into that shed and really look around, again. This would give them a reason to search the place, again, before all the Croslins move off. If he had anything to do with hiding Haleigh, the shed was a place he was familiar with and convenient, for a short period of time. Then, they could move her again.

i know this isnt going to set well with some, but if those who question this all i ask is go back and listen and read like i have.
upon going back and listening and reading ive come to the conclusion that misty is telling somewhat of the truth.
it seems like everytime misty says one thing or another someone always makes her out to be a liar.

when i was younger and with a guy, he was a theif,drug dealer and whatever kind of criminal he could be.
he was arrested for some stupid shit and when i was called to testify i told the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
the judge ,county attorney and my friends own lawyer knew he was guilty, but by the time the trial was over the man i was with had it sounding like i was crazy and told lies upon lies and almost had the whole courtroom believing it as well.

Marvin is legally blind, so who is to say that someone else did not come along on that visit at 4am? Could it of been Hank Sr. or Misty that took the gun and he and his wife blamed it on Hank Jr.? Did LE arrest Hank Jr. to keep him safe from what may be coming? I find the time of the visit to be very odd as well. Who the heck goes to someones house at 4am to use the phone? What was going on and who did they call? I also find it odd that after Hank Sr. and Wife returned the gun charges were filed and the bond amount and jail time to me is to the extreme. Not saying that Tommy should not be punished if he did in fact steal the gun, just find the timing and all the players mysterious.
I also read an article on AH’s site that states that Misty had told Marvin that she was tired of taking care of other peoples kids and for him to pray for her. What is Misty afraid of that she is asking for prayers? She also admits she is tired of taking care of other peoples kids, so was she tired of taking care of Haleigh?
It is also said that LE was re-interviewing Joe O. but feel that Tommy is the one now holding back information. Could it be information that Misty passed along. Simon, I had to laugh last night at the appearance of Ron on NG last night. He was dressed in a suit, no doubt fueled by the comments Simon made on an article about a month back about Ron and his ill fitting shirt. Ron attempting to look professional is ludicrous. I can’t help but notice that Ron’s lawyer supresses a smirk every time Ron speaks. Ron’s insistence always looks threatening to me. He looks like a man used to getting his way with bullying and his attempt to seem non threatening with his speech peppered with Miss Nancy’s and feigned innocence is rather frightening.

I’m sorry guys but worrying about Ronald’s dress is too much for me. I don’t care if he is in a
suit or a t-shirt. My husband wears business dress almost everyday but if his child were missing, he would care less what he was wearing.
He would probably be in very casual clothing. Why judge Ronald by his clothing, who cares?
NG making such an issue of Crystal not knowing what time Haleigh got out of school was a little
over the top to me also. Haleigh didn’t live
with Crystal. Crystal didn’t pick her up from school. I don’t care of Crystal knew the time or not. It had no importance in Haleigh’s life whether Crystal knew it or not. What mattered to Haleigh is what Crystal did when she had her on the week ends.
If Ronald or Crystal had anything to do with this child’s disappearance they need to be caught and punished.
However, the level of education they have, the
price of the home they live in, nor their clothing determines how much they loved their daughter or how well they took care of her. TO me those are the issues that matter. I don’t
know about you, maybe you do things perfect but as for me if I were taken by surprise, and my house went on national TV it isn’t always picture perfect either. Depending when you came I might be in ragged clothes as I work in my garden & play hard with my 2 dogs. So if you came at just the right time you could say I was nasty & my house cluttered and my hair a mess. The next time you came me & my house might be picture perfect but who cares. None of that was a reflection of how I took care of my boys. They are grown now but some days when I looked a mess and the house was cluttered were the days I had been the best mom. We had played in the sand box, walked & romped in the woods and made a sheet tent in the living room. We all know Ronald & Crystal have a past & have made mistakes but that does not prove them guilty here. I am sure they both have huge regrets. Well, I anticipate if they can find out where she went that night, it will prove she was out, if she admits it or not. once that is accomplished, the path is clear to figure out who took Haleigh. I think they are two separate incidences that folded into one.
While I don’t think Tommy is above theft, could it be that he needed a gun for protection and couldn’t afford one? I just find it weird that he stole a gun. Who are they all afraid of? (besides Ron?) Is there anyone around there who is on the up & up? We’ll have to stay tuned for another installment of “As the stomach turns” hahahahaha!
Mitzie - The term “legally blind” does not necessarily mean the person is totally blind. Marvin might still be able to see if his visitors were a man and a woman. And he might know Hank Jr and his mother well enough to know for sure it was them.
Why did Tommy steal the gun? One reason may be because it was a really cool gun. A 1905 Colt which I’m sure would appeal to most gun lovers. And/or he wanted one that would not be traced back directly to him.
But as some other posters kindly pointed out to me, the gun theft took place before Misty’s restraining order so Tommy would not have needed Marvin’s gun to replace his own.
The reason this timeline is confusing is because the gun theft was around Aug. 18/19 but Marvin did not report it until around Sept 12. Why? He said he was hearing about threats to him. I guess he heard that Tommy or someone wanted to get him back for demanding his gun back (even though Marvin had kept that in the Croslin family and had not called the cops at that time).
What’s interesting to me is who in the heck did Tommy Jr and his mother have to call at 4 am in the morning on Aug 18 or 19? If I were Le, that would have been the first place I would have gone, after the info given by white Boy.. and Nay Nay, And there was an admission of an illegal activity going on, so why not go out and yank them in. Any place misty could be found that weekend, that would be my next stop.. tracking her backwards might lead the path forwards. But, I’m not Le.. just an old ex-le.. And yes, I can be quite descriptive in detail when its needed..

Don’t give up, keep sending the message. It might get there at the right time, when they might be ready to hear it. Give them as much information as you can, so they will understand what and who you are talking about. They were getting so many tips for awhile, and they couldn’t follow-up on all of them. Now, they might have time to listen.
Karon, I don’t think the Mexican’s have Haleigh, nor ever did.. I still believe we have two separate incidences, that blended into one. I think, you are going to find a group involved in one, a group involved in the other, and them a blend of all as these cases blended to One. They are so closely related to each other, dependent on one another, caused initially by the same people.. sounds complex, but extremely simplistic.
