The results come from a recent federal study, and the study is said to highlight the importance of controlling exposure to asbestos in the workplace. The study indicates that deaths from exposure to asbestos are continuing to rise, and often this exposure is experienced in the workplace.One asbestos law firm official from New York stated: “The tragic legacy of asbestos will be with us for many years to come. Even today, people in certain occupations continue to be exposed.” Many people have been exposed to asbestos in a wide range of industries due to the common use of this substance in many sectors prior to the middle of the 1980s.

According to the information in the federal report around twenty six states throughout the United States have got mesothelioma death rates that are higher than the national average, indicating the seriousness of the problem.
