The mother of the murdered toddler, Casey Anthony claimed her daughter had been kidnapped 31 days before they even bothered to report it to the police. She told authorities that her 2 year old daughter, Caylee Anthony had been taken by the Nanny, whom she named to be a Zenaida Gonzalez. After a thorough investigation investigators came to the conclusion that there was no such Nanny that existed and Casey Anthony was lying and has since been arrested and charged with first degree murder facing the death penalty. She is being held in the Orange County Jail in Orlando Florida.
Zenaida Gonzalez has filed a civil suit claiming Casey’s allegation against a woman with her name has ruined her reputation and now she can’t even find work.
WESH.com is reporting that there are now two new hearings scheduled for this week involving the civil case against Casey Anthony. They say that Tuesday, Casey’s wannabe ‘Dream Team’ will be filing a motion to try to get the complaint dismissed once again. I guess now that they can see that the “Nanny” story just won’t cut it, they want to drop it. It doesn’t seem to matter to them that an innocent woman has suffered from Casey Anthony’s games with the police.
In the second hearing scheduled for Wednesday Zenaida Gonzalez’s attorney are going to try to get the courts to order George and Cindy Anthony, Casey’s parents , to complete the questions from their depositions that they refused to answer.
Cindy Anthony had refused to answer when asked if her daughter had ever used their credit cards without their permission. Gonzalez’s lawyers want to show that Casey could not afford to pay for a Nanny because she didn’t have the money.
George Anthony refused to answer quite a few questions. He acted as though he was only there for the deposition to answer the questions that he wanted to and not worry about the rest. He even threatened to walk out when he was asked questions that he chose not to answer or that didn’t meet with his approval. When asked had Casey ever stolen from them he refused to answer yet in an interview with the FBI he admitted that she had indeed stolen from all of them. He even mentioned that she actually stole money out of Caylee’s piggy bank.
Personally I think the Anthony’s are a joke. As a parent I can understand not wanting to testify against your own daughter especially if it is going to help prosecutors prove she is guilty of murder. The thing is though that Caylee was their only granddaughter. Who protected her? How can they forget her? In all fairness, maybe they haven’t forgotten her but how can they turn their backs on her to defend Casey when they have to know what happened to that child. If they don’t know they for sure know that every bit of evidence the prosecutors have points directly to Casey. I don’t understand how they can take Casey’s word for it that she didn’t do this knowing how she lies about everything.
Caylee I know you are looking down at everyone. I know you are happy where you are. I can only hope that you will get the justice you so rightly deserve once this is all over with. You deserve it. We are here praying for you, the world waits for the justice to be served for you as well. God Bless you honey. We love you!

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a Trackbacki don’t think they are forgetting about Caylee or the fact that Casey did kill her, but i think that deep down, they must think that she is gone and there is nothing they can do to bring her back and her “mother” is all they have left and they don’t want to lose her too, that is why they are fighting so hard to keep her from dying from the death penalty. I guess on the one hand they are apologizing to Caylee inside of themselves and on the other hand they are praying that Casey gets to stay live….
I think it’s more than that. The parents have a view of themselves that they cannot pull themselves away from. They are totally self-absorbed, in that, anything that happens, they feel is a reflection of themselves. (which of course it is)
True love and caring begins when the horrible facts are known and people have to accept some of the blame for mistakes made. That never happened in the Anthony family regarding Casey. They dug her ditch for her by covering for her. Sad. Two lives gone. Their darling grandaughter at the hands of her mother, the monster, George and Cindy created.
I find it highly unusual that the Anthony’s feel they can control what questions are asked of them, and which of these questions they will or will not answer - even going as far as stating “I don’t know what the relevance of this question is”. During their depositions they told numerous lies, blatantly and intentionally. Should these people not be charged with perjury? Will it be a repeat performance at the criminal trail?
Thy seem to feel that the legal process does not apply to them. One doesn’t have to scrutinize why Casey has developed into the person that she apparently is. This young lady should have received professional help a loooonnnngggg time ago.
The bottom line here is that as the old saying goes “as the twig is bent, so grows the tree”. The Anthonys are in their opinion, totally blameless. Therefore, so is Casey. It is alright to just kill a child if she got in the way, heck, there is no reason to keep her around if she cramps your style. Caylee never asked to be born, her mother took on that responsibility when she laid down to create that baby. The least she could have done was to allow a family who could not have children to take her and give her a decent and loving life. She is such a self centered person, she could not do that so she just totally threw Caylee away when she did not want her any more. Now, somebody had to teach her morals, and who raised Casey? Enough said.
Casey deliberately used Zenaida’s name as a red herring in order to get the upper hand against the police. She succeeded. The ruse bought her the time she needed to gather herself and not be caught off guard.
The police lost time chasing down this lead, and also going on a grand tour with Casey in the car with them, taking them all the way out to Universal. Meanwhile, Caylee’s body was sitting in the woods near her house.
Dismissing Zenaida’s claim by accusing her and her attorney of wanting publicity is yet another ruse. Casey’s dream team is simply asking the judge to be part of a coverup. The judge will see through this and not grant them their motion.
Furthermore, the facts and nuances that will come out of George and Cindy finishing their depositions, and out of other pretrial activities will shed more light on why Casey offered no cooperation in finding her daughter.
Those following this case will soon see that you can’t refuse to cooperate and then expect to shut down all other means to get at the truth.
Like a blade of grass pushing through a concrete sidewalk, there will be justice for Caylee.
I believe Judge Stickland will not dismiss this case because Zenaida deserves her day in court and her rights are protected by our laws just as much as a criminal’s are. What sort of message would it send if we tell Zenaida Gonzalez, “Sorry…you are just unlucky and got caught up in the biggest circus in town…Nothing we can do for you.” Nope, she deserves to bring her case before the court and is lucky to have top notch representation.
I do think Judge Strickland may deny her motion to have the Anthonys respond to the remaining questions if, in his judgment, there is enough evidence to prove the elements that the questions are designed to shed light on. Frankly, I believe that Mr. Morgan has what he needs and it is pointless to create yet another disastrous scene with George and Cindy. (Although one never tires of watching this pair of know-it-alls tripping over their tongues…)
Don’t worry about the possibility of George and Cindy pulling their stunts in Casey’s murder trial. There is this thing called a “hostile witness” and if they change their story from what is already said under oath, the prosecutors can impeach them with their previous statements. That is a most awkward moment in a trial and leaves a terrible taste in the mouths of the jurors. It opens the door to bring in ALL the testimony the Anthonys have made under oath and I don’t think they want to go down that road. Of course, we ARE talking about the ANTHONYS - the family who seems to think that because they watched an episode or two of L.A. Law on television, they are all now licensed attorneys. (i.e. “I don’t see what the relevance of that question is.”)
These people don’t realize how kind the attorneys have been to them up to this point. They don’t seem to realize that they are in the cross-hairs of an obstruction charge and that when they actually take the stand in Casey’s murder trial, the gloves WILL come off. Nobody is going to play footsie with them and their mouths will land their daughter a place on death row. Heck, there are probably people who would fry the offspring, just to teach these horrible parents a lesson or two.
This week will be interesting and I look forward to Judge Strickland’s rulings. He is a very patient and very thoughtful judge and I really believe he will deliver good rulings in Zenaida’s case. God bless that woman. She will never be the same and deserves some serious relief.
George and Cindy Anthony must prove in court why they shouldn’t have to answer any further questions in the Zenaida deposition.
This is not a huge issue for the judge. People refuse to answer questions in depositions all the time, and motions to compel are quite routine.
I thought the reason why George couldn’t answer the first time around was because he was still emotionally unstable. He looks okay now, so the judge will simply order him back to the deposition room. No big deal.
This family reminds me of hyenas. The female hyenas are big and strong and dominate their puny mates (Cindy and George). They always give birth to two cubs, and as soon as it can, the stronger of the two kills the weaker one (Casey and Caylee). The parent hyenas then use all of their resources to nourish and care for the survivor not caring that the smaller cub was killed by it’s larger littermate.
the florida police need to stop catering to that spoiled brat casey anthony and just allow her to have only something to sleep on ,not the greatest of food ,not all the comforts of home and then some. hell she has it made .Take away the extras so she can see what being punished really is and see if she talks and as far as mom ,dad ,brother goes either they take polys or charge them with accessary to the fact and stop playing games anyone else would of done been executed for this
