It is going to be a busy weekend. On Saturday September 5 at 12:00pm Central (1 pm east) we will have our second exploration of the world of drugs in America today. Last week we explored the world of the addict and the world of the lawyers that represent them. Actually it was a little more far ranging, Mitch Stone represents people in all aspects of the drug world, Users, Dealers, Doctors, Pharmacists, and just about everyone else remotely connected to the street and prescription drug problem. We were also joined by Carlton Davis, a recovering crack addict.
This week my Co-host Armando Aldazabal and we will be talking with Dr Michael Provines who has a lot of experience with addiction and how to treat it from a medical standpoint. Dr Provines is the CEO of a treatment facility in Florida. This should be a pretty interesting program.
On Sunday Sept 6 at 3pm central (4pm eastern) we will be taking our weekly look at the Haleigh Cummings story. There have been a number of developments in the case in the last few days. These developments are certainly causing the case to unravel. On successive nights Nancy Grace (HLN) had Ronald Cummings (the missing child’s father) and Crystal Shefield (Biological mother) on her show. Neither of these guests made much of an impression, other than having missed several years of schooling!
Tempers were running hot, I don’t think that Nancy Grace likes guests not answering direct questions. Actually Nancy is a lawyer, on air she never asks a question that she does not know the answer to, on air is just like the courtroom. When she gets blindsided or stonewalled, a certain amount of frustration tends to percolate to the surface.
TJ Hart of The Sky 97.3 and I ran a one-on-one earlier this week, you might want to check out the recording. You might also be interested in last Sundays broadcast, as I am sure that some of the same themes are going to be hitting the microphones this week.
Even though this is the Labor Day weekend it seems that we will have the regular panel, and maybe some guests, you just never know who is going to make an appearance on this program.
Haleigh Cummings is still at the forefront of our quest. And we are not giving up!
As the announcement goes “Please make sure that your seats are in the upright position, and your tray tables are in the locked position.”
It will be an interesting program.

The hero appeared to always be in terrible danger, but also managed to survive and reappear. And it was an amazing saga that kept us on the edge of our seats..
why does this case remind of those cliff hangers? Why, when everyone is so sure they know where its going, it suddenly turns around and confuses the heck out of me? Lies turn to truth and truth turns to lies. All Hero’s turn into the bad guys? and the bad guys.. Heck I think their out there laughting like heck at the rest of us. I heard one person tonight on NG, advise let her take another Poly.. why not it would only be the 4th she fails. She is not going to undergo Hypnosis. So, maybe its time for the fam to encourage her to let a doctor administer a nice drug that helps one TALK and TELL the TRUTH. Do you think there would be any possibility the family would believe then?
I, for one, understand why the national press left Satsuma when they did: you can’t get a straight answer out of anybody.
It has been a unique challenge wading through the agenda-driven half truths down here–and this comes for a guy who covered Illinois politcs at the statehouse for years!
That’s right…this story is a far bigger snake pit than Illinois politics! And neither is a place for sissies. You are going to catch hell no matter what is reported.
You have your all these women who have lined up to hate Haleigh’s father and who are now livid that LE says he not a suspect.
Several months ago LE and PDM both stated Ronald Cummings was at work the night Haleigh was taken from his home. Now, other reports confirm that.
The Ron Haters won’t stand for that.
One of the tweets on WSKY’s Twitter site read: “It’s not wise for LE to cross a sluether!” Damn the fact that a real child is missing, LE is messing with the storyline in their entrtainment.
The reports are the reports. The news doesn’t have a side.
One thing is for sure is that Misty holds the key to all of this. It is frustrating knowing that.
For those who say,”lock her up until she talks!” please remember where you live…America! We have these pissy little things called the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights that just keep getting in the way of just holding a mock trial and hanging folks “cuz we just knows she’s guilty!”
Suspend the Constitution and Bill of Rights for Misty and you’ll have them suspended for you.
The national press can leave anytime they want. Here in north Florida–it’s a local story.
LE is not going to charge with out all the facts. The attorney would ask for the rights to a speedy trial, I think in florida 90 days, and LE would be scrambling.
I wonder if LE has considered offering a “deal” of some kind to anyone who comes forward with real information? Nothing seems to be working including the money reward for info. Maybe the problem is that by giving info someone would be incriminating themselves in a drug-related or other type of crime.
And I also wonder if it’s possible that Misty has something on someone - or all of them. So her attitude is “Support me or I’ll tell LE about ….” (Fill in the blank).
I don’t think those are new ideas but maybe some other kind of “benefit” needs to be offered to get the truth out of somebody.
The proof will be in the pudding, I say. So Tj, Simon, what makes you convinced that just because the fathers work hours check out with everyone & God, relinquishes his involvement in whatever happened to his daughter? What makes this “alibi” convince you of his innocense here? Does anyone not think about a possibility that ‘others’ took care of things while he went about his normal routine? He still can be held culpable. He did not marry Misty to keep his enemy close or to avoid testifying against each other. and all that. It was all for “the show”. Planting little seeds along the way. Misty is already duped a lier, then when she does come clean with what she knows, its too late. Which is more than likely why Mr. Cummings is so extremely calm about the LDT results. He’s planting the seeds.Why else would he tell Nancy Grace he “needs solid proof she’s lying about that night”. Not only listen to what he says & how he says it….watch his body language.
For me personally, it isnt about sides to take here. I speak for myself here. If you two want to keep hitting the beehive with a stick, go ahead…that’s a turn off to most readers btw. They’re tired of hearing your tit for tat…why keep bringing up the divisions of “us” nobodys? whats the point? Do you two enjoy the backlash that comes with it? You both are starting to sound like HS kids in a sense, not professionals. WHO CARES WHAT BLOGGERS WITH NO CREDENCE TO THE CASE SAYS! IGNORE IT. You keep feeding it.Stop choosing to entertain them.
If it was the other side, I’d be examining all of it very carefully. It is what it is. Stop coddling this guy and walking on eggshells. What? what’s the matter, is everyone thinking if they corner him and ask him serious hardball questions, he’s going to go on a shooting rampage? Tick…Tick…Tick. KABOOOOOM! WHERES RONALDS LDT results? Wheres TN & Granny results? Wheres Hank, tommy & Lisa Croslins results? The only one that has been exposed is Misty. She’s not the only key here. There are several “like” keys floating around too!
Mz. Wickers, keep your hat on. I don’t think that Simon or TJ are saying that Ron is innocent. What they have been trying very hard to do is identify the FACTS!
And what TJ is pointing out in his comment above is that a fact is a fact is a fact whether someone likes it or not. (Pitiful that anyone has to be TOLD that!)
But if we don’t acknowledge what FEW facts there are in this case we don’t stand a chance of finding Haleigh.
Also, just because LE says Ron is not a suspect does not mean they MEAN it! LOL! Nor does it mean that they don’t think he could be involved.
I’m not very impressed with local LE but even I don’t think they are THAT stupid (I hope).
So basically, this is an issue of “thinking” bloggers versus (well, what can I call them?) “Non- thinking bloggers” who IMO muddy the waters of the investigation AND rail (spew venom all over the blog) against anyone trying to honestly report the news by refusing to accept FACTS just because it TEMPORARILY SEEMS to favor someone they have already condemned.
A person who believes that Ron was at work is not necessarily someone who is defending him OR someone who thinks he’s innocent AND it does not prove that Ron was not involved.
Now come on, people! A little more THINKING and a LOT LESS spite could get us farther along!

I’m amazed at some of the elaborate conspiracies that onlookers can create from the ongoing saga of the Cummings, Ms. Sheffield, etc. In real life such fall apart quickly, that is if there were ever conspiracies brewing.

m2c, I just wanted to fill you in a bit, Le thought about that several months ago, and they did make the same offer.. I’m not sure that they have taken it off the table. Just no one showed up…
Guys, lets be honest here, we have Simon, we have TJ Hart, and We do Have Art.. all three keep plugging away, and I do believe the only reason we have coverage outside of the state of Florida.
So, people can get mad when opinions are open and direct.. But, if you run them off.. who will have the story, and who will take it outside of the State of Florida?
Tj- I’m sorry. I’m just frustrated with the dynamics of this case. You’re right, that there are a few folks out there that do disrupt things from what I read here & there.
However, let me say something about the “side-shows” the panel brings up. In a way, yeah its a circus. But on the other hand, we did learn a few things from that. It was not for nothing.
And TJ- now youre saying this is FAR from over? HUH, last week you said we are in the final stretch. Stop making us nuts!
I had to re-read your article and I think I misunderstood the context. However, maybe, just maybe shelf the issues with people who are created a problem for you all. Its just what i think. I guess Im tired of hearing about all these haters and troublemakers who bother you and LE. Im not one of them. I say stop picking the scabs and theyll go away.
And Strayze, I’ve heard far nuttier theories than my own. But we all have them. I think how they are presented can create more problems.
M2c - I agree and the thing is I just wish for once it would be said (written) in plain ol straight up logic, just like you put it. Then there wouldnt be all this confusion. What got to me, is the way that it’ reads feeds into the hate that goes on out there.
Mlee, these guys are big boys. I’m sure they aren’t going to get run off from lil ol me or you. They know frustrations are high. I think the ones doing the running off, are the ones that dont want to hear the truth. Or rather dont want the truth put out there. I heard TJ say on simons show why most of the mainstream media wants no part of this. It isnt because a handful of middle aged old ladies told them to behave themselves.
Looking foward to your show. Talk more about the case, less about the haters. thats all I wanted to get across to ya’ll.

I took “final stretch” to mean we are so much
closer to finding Haleigh.
I took “far from over”, to be in reference to some
of the consequences some are going to pay. I think it was said talking about Ronald.
Regardless, give TJ a break, he is doing his
very best to report the news and I appreciate
