There is another bizarre turn of events in the disappearance of 6-year old Haleigh Cummings. The father Misty Croslin-Cummings, Haleigh’s babysitter-now stepmom who was supposed to be watching the child the night she disappeared, left a strange message on the phone of Texas Equusearch Director Tim Miller claiming Ronald Cummings needs $35,000 to get the child back!
Recently Tim Miller with Texas Eqqusearch was asked to once again help search for the child. Two weeks ago, Misty Cummings asked Miller to arrange a polygraph to clear her of suspicion since police had publicly said her stories of the night in question are inconsistent.
Misty failed both the polygraph and a voice stress test. She is now saying she was duped into taking the tests.
On August 28th, Misty Cummings’ father, Hank Croslin Sr., left a voicemail message for Miller claiming Ronald Cummings told him “If I had $35,000, I could have Haleigh back.”
Croslin said on the message he had witnesses claiming Ronald had made the statement.
Croslin said he thought Tim Miller was a friend and was angry that the pressure appeared to be on his daughter.
Miller sought the help of a fellow Texan and friend of Millers, Roy Moffitt of Roy Moffitt Customized Fueling Inc.. Moffit has since written a check to Ronald Cummings for $35,000 payable upon the safe return of Haleigh.
The Sky’s TJ Hart asked Miller what exactly the $35,000 was for. Miller said he was only concerned about getting missing Haleigh back and that he “didn’t give a damn.”
Hart now has in his possession and has forwarded copies of telephone messages of Croslin making the $35,000 claim and another one from Ronald Cumming mother Teresa Neves from August 18th.
In that message, Neves appeared to be concerned about Misty’s state of mind, saying she won’t even be in the same room as Ronald, and leaves to talk on the phone privately and is acting “crazy†Neves urges Miller to come to Florida quickly because Misty â€is ready to crack’

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI would have asked Ron directly if he had said that and if so what did he mean. Then, depending on the answer, I’d write a check (or not).
I would not have taken Croslin’s word or even a supposed voice mail as proof of anything.
Rumors are one thing. Taking action on rumors is another – with possibly more serious consequences.
I mean it’s really very nice that this money is available. But what happened to “consider the source” and getting corroboration and basic investigative and journalistic things like that?
I’m just saying that it would be good to remember that the Croslins have a bad relationship with Ron so I’m suspect of what they say and what their motives are.
If Ron only needs 35k to get Haleigh back. That means that he knows Where she is and she might still b alive.
But what happens to him when he gets her back. Does ge get the money or the slammer?
I am so ready for misty’s initial arrest warrant.. She in my mind is running the show, she has convinced me!
Concern for Haleigh, Not a drop.. Now, with the recordings by Tim Miller, I almost feel like she’s holding the family hostage. Why, and still no answer, is Ron playing this game?
The family thinks they break this tart.. Only in a state hospital.. and then she would be manipulting the doctors. Boy is her attorney going to be in for shock, when he figurers out how well she is playing him..
I wonder how long it’s going to take the new Counselor to do an evaluation on Little Ron..
And when its done.. The Child Custody Case will begin, and there is no way, a Judge would not be aware of all of this with Misty. Does anyone doubt that the Judge is not going to change Custody from Ron to Crystal? With Misty in that home, with control over that Child.. In a Heart Beat, I don’t think Little Ron is safe around Misty.. She has convinced me completely that she is ruthless, cruel, manipulating, and very capable of harming a child. The tears are auto water works, there is no emotion in there. She ask, how much can a 17 year old take? I would honestly say, 20 to life.
There is already a $35k reward for Haleigh, why is more money needed….this is very suspicious…I think the Croslin’s are scheming….Maybe not Misty though. I agree with you m2c.
From what i have read she may have been abused…why else would you live with someone so much older and leave your family, unless your own family was even more dangerous. She does not seem near smart enough to pull off this kind of calculated kidnapping…and continue to hold strong if she is lying…unless there is a major twist. Like her family taking advantage of her state, and she is embarassed, and afraid of ron. I do not think Ron is involved either, despite the claims of the 35K and the comment “didn’t give a damn.”
Misty is street smart, imo not by choice but for survival. The money is also a incentive for her to spill all to Ron, if in fact there is a situation that requires money for Haleighs return.
I think this is a joke, they are getting everones mind off the truth and the truth is that poor Haleight is more than likely dead! Get real, this baby has been gone a long time! Ron and Misty know it!!They were fighting and getting druged up and forgot to give her medication. She had a disease, Turner disease and were afraid to tell because they would lose junior! The caylee case was going on at the same time, and that gave them the idea to say someone took her!I do not think this was a murder, i do not think they killed her! I just think she died, remember how bad she looked when her grandmother took her to the hospital? Well what if the little girl just died and they both know it and hid the fact?
Why even ask for money?
35k it’s real insignificant when it comes to Haleigh. Why not ask for 500k?
I’ll tell you why because he knows where she is. He’s asking for a attainable amount. Some one already got 35k for him vs 500k which no one has right now.
This is the mist valuable clue ever. He just told us that she’s alive. Otherwise why need money at all to get her home.

jaa1169, don’t underestimate misty, I think too many people do. She is very capable of devising this. She may have had a tragic childhood, but apparently she didn’t receive the mental health she really needed. She is farm more devious than you can imagine. Go back and watch, and don’t be taken in by the tears and the poor me.. She also pulled the same techniques on Tim Miller, and when things didn’t go the way she planned, she went after him.. This is not a poor 17 year old uneducated baby girl that needs to capture our hearts to feel pity and concern. This girl is not as she seems. Really, go back and watch her, she is in control, and she is ruthless.
And Linda God forbid youre right, and Haleigh in fact is dead, (we cannot rule that out) our legal system has got to make sure this stops. Violent crimes against children and women has got to stop now!
These poor children do not deserve this crap from the adults that are supposed to secure their future.

Like I have been saying you can tell from her facial expressions that she is clearyly lying by always looking away when asked about that night. when she is asked about Haleigh she her mouth frons and eye brows raise, she does not like Haleigh. When asked about haleigh she shows resentment. I do not care if she claims they dressed the same. BS.
Micro expressions tell you everything. My father studied them all his life and we could never lie to him.
But you are right she is in full control. She can lie on instinct with the cameras on. She failed the polygraph beacuse she got scared it would reveal the truth. She became anxious and on the edge, thats why she failed that myseribly.
Just a thoguht not to be overlooked.

I posted on earler updates about haleigh and i’m ready to start a class action suit against all the named player’s in haleigh case. I’m about at my wit’s end .i’ve been upping my med’s lately. my daughter think’s im obsessed with the haleigh cummings case. well i have been searching on the net for everthing i can find about haleigh for some time. I only want the safety of haleigh’s return to come soon.all other’s i’ll be glad to harrass in court for causing my mental problem’s. maybe the threats of civil action’s will get somebody going or make the prime people respond to the action’s .
I hope TM gets the answers. I pray Haleigh is
alive. I hope this ends soon.

Well if there was a ransom it should have came back in february why now it doesnt make no sense at all. I dont trust any of them in that family not even Ron for that matter. Both Ron and Misty knows where this child is I believe both sides of their families does too. Ya Misty is about to crack and spill everything its coming…. He just need the money to flee the states thats all.
gatorgirl: As you will see on another article where you also mentioned it, I did NOT mean this was a ransom. I was using a kidnapping scenario to illustrate my point about Ron’s comment. I did NOT mean this situation or this $ was a ransom. Sorry for the confusion.
Sounds to me like they just want to get money to attempt a flee because the noose is tightening around there knecks with 4 failrd polygraphs speaks volumes rith there thats why Ron felt compelled to have to go on Nacy Grace last night to thin the air. I bet law enforcement are putting together an arrest soon very soon. I woulodn’t give then the cash unless they produce the kid cause they’ll run.
