I was expecting a lively show. And I was not disappointed. It has been a very busy couple of weeks in the case. The watershed was undoubtedly the Putnum County press release on Aug/17. In number of words, it was small, in importance it was huge. No one is pointing the finger at Misty Croslin as being the perpetrator of the crime, but all signs lead to Misty Croslin knowing more than she is willing to tell.
Our panel today consisted of TJ Hart The Sky 97.3, Bounty hunter Leonard Padilla, investigator William “Cobra” Staubs, Emmy winning Journalist Art Harris, and crime writer Denny Griffin.
I think the word ‘lively’ would be the best way to describe this program. It has been a busy week in the search for Haleigh Cummings.
I will put this offer on the table. And it is clearly aimed at one person. Leonard is prepared to pay for expenses, he is happy to pay for tickets to meet in Canada, which might be a smart idea. It would have been nice if a way could have been found to pass the offer of help to Misty in a more private way. Now the world knows and whichever member(s) of it don’t want her talking will be sure she goes nowhere.
1. I wonder how LE would feel about the “KEY” just up and leaving?
2. Misty goes where Misty wants to go. She is NOT a prisoner in any way, shape or form.
3. Why is Padilla inserting himself into this case all of a sudden? Publicity?
4. I hope DCF is investigating Tommy’s household. If Tommy molested Misty, Tommy has a little girl of his own that needs to be protected. Again, I say IF. But this needs to be investigated.
5. Why was there a blogger present during Misty’s polygraph, voice analysis and hypnosis testing recording the whole thing? IMO, the plan all along was to release the video$. The tests could have been recorded with a camera on a tripod. No need to have a reporter/blogger present documenting everything unless the plan was always to release the results with a “documentary” released. Disgusting.

LE wants Misty to stay right where she is in Putnam.Media hos need to get real jobs and stop using missing kids to beg for donations and three minute tv spots.It’s bad enough parents setting up foundations to beg from the public and not use any of it to find thier children.
I have a question. Why would you think Misty would go anywhere with people that have accused her of everything under the sun? All of a sudden in a week most of the people on the panel change their minds and want to help her. Don’t you think this is a bit odd? I do, so I have to ask myself what do you really want? Becca, Misty is specifically not a person of interest, PCSO says she is inconsistent with her story. Big difference.
If you listen and watch her very closely on the tapes, most people, over the age of 40 and an IQ over 120, can see she is telling what she can and she is terrified of the person who hurt/took Haleigh.
Misty needs a Victims Advocate, and PCSO has two on their payroll. They would be remiss in not helping Misty in this way.

If I were Lisa and Hank Croslin, I would make up for lost time and take immediate action to save my daughter from the threat she feels.
I would annul the marriage to Cummings.
I would file charges of Child Rape/against Cummings.
I would demand Misty tell the truth and guarantee with the States Help, she would be protected from her Brother, Her Cousin, and Ronald Cummings.
Misty turns 18 in December. Hank and Lisa Croslin should take action now while the law is on their side…and do for their daughter what they should have done 12 months ago.

Misty would have to be the one to take action to end her marriage. Do you even know that Misty WANTS to end her marriage?
Misty does what Misty wants. NO ONE controls Misty Croslin-Cummings. She is NOT a prisoner with Ron and his family. She is free to leave at any time.
That said, I agree that Misty needs an advocate (and I’d say she needs someone that is not on PCSO’s payroll). She needs to remember whatever is locked in her memory (if she is repressing something). Then she needs a very good attorney to help clear up her inconsistencies with the PCSO.
HaLeigh has been gone WAY too long. She needs to come home! It’s almost 7 months, and that is 7 months too long.

Misty’s parents have no control over her. She is essential emancipated since she is married. If I am not mistaken, I think she is now considered an adult.

I seriously doubt any of the family members are reading the forums and blogs but I have heard LE does and I am sure they are just thrilled to know that people are offering to get their only witness to a child abduction out of the country. My money is on Misty being put on the black list by morning so that she can not get a passport after reading about this plan.
Just in case anybody does not understand this, Misty comes and goes as she pleases. She left Ron’s house after an argument with Ron and spent the weekend partying with another man, and Ron opened his home back to her, and as far as I could tell she didn’t seem to be “beat” to a pulp upon her return home.
What really strikes me as funny is after 6 months those who have “covered” this case still doesn’t know the real reason for the argument that caused Misty to leave. That was one of the first questions I asked when I began researching this case.
Oh look, here comes hangnon with all her inside information. Everything you have claimed about Ronald Cummings has found to be untrue. IE: Ron not receiving child support. Court Docs say otherwise.
I didn’t suggest she leave the country, my posts are self explainatory.

Simon, thanks for the show. Wish we could have heard more from you, Denny and TJ and a whole lot less from Art & Cobra, when was the last time those two stepped foot in Satsuma? Can Art go re-hash his old Satsuma stories somewhere else? I’m not interested in his old war stories, he lost all credibility with me and many others when he brought on that wing nut Spunky to communize his forum. He has 5 month old stories on Haleigh on the frontpage of his website fgs. What does he offer? Nada.
All my own opinion and then some.
I felt Misty was leaving alot of vague hints in her voice stress analysis test. I am a floral designer, and the first thing I thought of was where do people usually find plastic roses? We made alot of wreaths to go on peoples’ graves out of plastic flowers. They aren’t used anywhere else, very often. Was Misty trying to tell you to look at a grave or a wreath somewhere where she got the single plastic rose? Were there any graves disturbed in the cemetary or on private property, somewhere that could have been dug up to place Haleigh there? If you find a wreath with that color rose in it, could the name on the grave be a relative of someone connected with this?
A red plastic rose could have been used in a 4th of July wreath to decorate a door or a grave. Whose door or whose grave; could there be a hint there.
Another thing I was wondering about, early in the case, the LE was looking for someone with a doorbell that sounded like a grandfather clock. Could that sound have come from a fasten your seatbelt warning in a vehicle? Some of those signals sound like grandfather clock chimes.
What could Misty have been hinting at about seeing a deer and blood? Could she be hinting about seeing blood in the back of another vehicle; Maybe not even her brother’s vehicle. She had, just, been talking about a red truck.
She said something about, “If someone put a gun in my mouth and told me not to tell anything, uh, uh!” I think she was telling us that was the way she was threatened.

As a part of the media speaking freely here, I will bring it to your attention right between your eyes and loudly in you ears that neither Simon, my radio station, CNN/Headline News or myself have made a dime off this story.
FACT: Advertiser purchase ads based on the metrics and ratings of the entire news product and NOT individual stories.
If the media didn’t report on this story, you’d never even know that this precious child disappeared and therefore you would have nothing to second guess or airchair quarteback.

wow—leave it up to the people who only really “blog” about this case to insinuate getting Misty out of town! I can’t believe that a man who didn’t report a “fake” search (and might be having charges pressed against him), a man who photo-shopped pictures for his website, and 3 people who were handed valuable information and didn’t report a single word of it because “they didn’t want to get in the middle of it”, to come up with such an idea. Leonard spent all of 20 minutes in the car and 5 min. in the house with Casey, but acts like he knows all. Mr. Simon, the show was a good one! I know I was there! Some of the commentors must have left the room several times. Passports? If THE GODFATHER said he would do this thing in Canada, best bet it can be done. OH yea, the part of the border lockdown and “black list” you got me with that one who ever you are. No more than you can stop those little sugar ants climbing around, you can’t lockdown the border. Ryan got over the border and it was hot at the time. There were more agents looking than the population of Putnam County, (well, there were a bunch.)
Some of your readers Simon are just unhappy folks in life and hate folks who do care and at all cost will try to find this child. We know that the side shows as they are called are no worse than Halftime at a game, start up bands while you wait for the Band that you paid to see. These events, “sideshows” play an important role in the entire case. There is no one begging to be locked up as they are confessing to this, nor are any movements at times in the case. It is not until through web sites and local gosip goes national, that we see movement. For months we have wanted Misty to do what she just did, reach out. She would not have done so, if the pressure was not so great. It is funny however that Misty would say something in those interviews that would cause the PCSO to interview her brother for a while! I would just remind folks that she has two brothers.

The simple answer, she wanted a baby and when she told Ronald that she was pregnate and showed him her sister in laws sonogram, “i can’t spell for crap” He , Ronald, went besirk! Thanks. I am a broadcast journalist first and foremost(35 years in radio and tv). The addition of the internet and social networks require me to adapt quickly to the new technologies late in my life. There is a significant difference in writing and delivering broadcast news than there is in print and new media. Much more comfortable with a mic and camera than a computer.

Misty’s mother signed the documents giving permission for her underaged daughter to marry Ron.
That puts a whole new light on how to go about getting Misty out of the marriage. As a legal marriage, I’d think that Misty would have to get herself out of it (unless Ron beats her to it and divorces her first).
Cobra, are you saying that your good buddy, Leonard Padilla, AKA “The Godfather” would violate not only the laws of Florida and the laws of the United States, but would violate International laws and “sneak” a person out of the United States into Canada? Interesting to say the least. I am sure LP is going to greatly appreciate your implications.
As far as the reason for the fight, you obviously have not dug deep enough. The real reason for the fight was not for the reasons that Nay Nay gave during her Art Harris interview. I think if you would have asked the right questions to the right people you would have that answer.
While it is true that some family members do read on the internet and actually post on the internet, those family members are on the maternal side of the family and I doubt have much contact with Misty. Not everybody on the paternal side of the family goes online and reads forums and blogs, in fact I only know of one family member that does go online on any kind of a regular basis, so to say that you know for a fact what anybody on the paternal side of the family is doing really isn’t accurate since you have no direct contact with any of the family members.

The way I took what Cobra said was that he is

Eveyone that touches this case gets put down but, I say at least they are trying to help! I thought the show was a good one, and I found it very interesting. I think these people are good men, who are very worried about a 17 yr. old girl in over her head and in danger.
I think the biggest problem people are having with the show last night is that all of you couldn’t be free to tell us all of the facts, yet. I listened to the show twice and got more out of it the second time. There was a sudden shift in your attitudes toward Misty that people didn’t understand, because you couldn’t tell us many facts, yet. I believe it will all be very clear to us very soon.
I appreciate your show, and your show is one of the few shows that will take the chance on being criticized because you are covering this case. This is one of the wildest cases I have ever followed with so many twists and turns, and it, just, blows your mind at times. People get impatient and take it out on your show. There was a lot of hinting, last night, because you weren’t free to come right out with it, But you will when the time is right.
Keep it up, I picked up some very interestng facts about the case, last night!

Heads up, Becca was bakeracted after she went over board on the Trenton Duckett case. She became delusional and believed she and Trenton weren’t safe because Josh Duckett was stalking her. True story.
