I think it’s a tragedy that there are fantastic movies out there that don’t reach many people because they didn’t sell out to the big studios.  These are movies that are thoroughly enjoyable and tons of fun and usually rely on good writing and acting instead of just explosions and boobs.  Well, a great movie you have never heard of is ready for you to bring home on DVD today!

Starting this August 18h, now available on DVD from MG Road Productions and Cinema Libre Studio comes a hilarious and completely unpredictable movie about life and love and maybe a little bit of incest.  Kissing Cousins is ready to crash through your television screen and fill your living room with this delightful takedown of love, relationships, family and so much else.  Bring home this unique and wonderful romantic comedy today!

Amir lives in Los Angeles and is self-employed.  He works as a relationship termination specialist.  In short, he dumps people and gets paid for it.  This jobs makes him cynical, so he is the only bachelor left in his group of friends.  When his best friend says his relationship karma is too bad to be his best man, Amir has some questions he needs to answer in his own life.  Then he meets his beautiful cousin Zara, who stays at his house for a while and pretends to be his girlfriend.  But is Amir starting to fall in love with his own cousin?  This movie stars Samrat Chakrabarti, Rebecca Hazlewood, Gerry Bednob, P.J. Byrne, Manish Goyal, David Alan Grier, Nikki McCauley, Rachael Smith, Lauren Stamile, Zack Ward and Jaleel White and was written and directed by award-winning director Amyn Kaderali.

The special features included in this DVD are a great look behind the scenes, a great short film, interviews with the cast and crew and the original theatrical trailer.

This film is a monumentally impressive success of a romantic comedy.  It is funny, it is touching and there are parts of it that are deeply, deeply moving.  Best of all is that, as a viewer, you will find yourself genuinely torn between the way that Amir has fallen in love and the fact that he’s in love with his cousin.  We want him to be happy, but we can’t quite root for him to hook up with his own cousin.  There are some hilarious parts, to be sure, but most of the movie is truly heartfelt and it makes a connection with us.  This is one of the best romantic comedies I have ever seen.  Bring this home today for a new look at what this tired genre is still capable of!

You’ll want to Kiss and tell with this movie!
