It was an interesting program as always. The panel Consisted of the Barrett’s, William “Cobra” Staubs, and Denny Griffin.
We started off with a quick update on the Caylee Anthony case. In particular the hearing last Friday. Little by little we are beginning to understand the defense strategy, clearly Baez wants to point the finger at everyone except his client Casey Anthony. It is a risky legal strategy, and one that could easily backfire.
Next we moved onto the Haleigh Cummings case. The bulk of the discussion concerned the events of Monday Aug/17, the sixth birthday of the missing little girl. The family tried, and for the most past was successful in raising public interest in the case by holding a couple of events.
Mark NeJame and Tim Miller took the opportunity to step into the lime light to announce that Tim Miller’s Equuserch were going to return to the Satsuma area to search again for the missing girl. But, and it is a big BUT, this will not be happening for 6 to 8 weeks. Tim’s group while occasionally looking for live missing children, is more often associated with recovering the dead. As the panel agreed, now that 6 months have elapsed, it is unlikely that Tim Miller is returning with the prospect of finding a live child.
The most significant event on Monday though, was the Press Release from Law Enforcement. It is carefully worded, and in my mind, while clearly turning the heat up on Misty, does not totally clear Ronald Cummings or Crystal Shefield, they left some wriggle room in their use of language.
Cobra brought up an interesting inconsistency in an interview that was aired 10 days after Haleigh Cummings disappeared. It concerns Mrs. Sykes visit at 7pm on the night of the disappearance. I will stage up the video as soon as I can locate the link in my email.
The entire program can be listened to here.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackA theory that I have is that Misty got what we call “screwed up” with the abductor the night Haleigh was taken. I personally believe that she was drunk at the time.. but my theory is that she was partying with this guy who was going back to Texas the next day or so (he was going to leave in other words).
I think she somehow either A) owed the guy too much money to pay him for drugs or B) she jokingly, drunkingly told the guy something like “Well, if you want a kid you can have HER”.. words to that effect.
One more thing on what I’m saying: I AM shamanistic–you’d have to get another medium to come in and prove that–but don’t ask the psychic about Haleigh Cummings. Ask him/her to center on my E-mail. My last name is in it.
Get twenty psychics to do it, get the same results twenty time. If she were deceased I would tell you she was. I don’t play games with what I’ve got.
I think I gave enough info on the location and the name of the “abductor”. I do believe one thing though–without the babysitter cracking there is no case here. My claims are, of course, inadmissable evidence. Even if she IS found in Texas.
Another theory is that she was so drunk that night that even if my other theories are correct, she won’t feel any blame towards herself. She couldn’t remember, right?

I was on the edge of my nerves watching the energy that was brougt back into Haleigh’s dissapearance and hope with every beat of my heart that Misty finally would be arrested for some serious questioning.
But as quick as the storm of new information blew into our computers the storm almost died again.
Such a shame that it almost looks like as if LE still has no legal ways to slam some of the keyplayers into jail.
But I will be hopefull, as I was from day 1, and ofcourse I’m afraid that after so long little Haleigh is no longer with us, we all will get closure of what happened to this beautiful little girl.
As for the Anthony case…. I have always had interest in crime and court cases and until now I had the opinion that defense attorneys somehow and in some capacity sought truth. Casey’s defense is being ‘developed’? She claimed the nanny took her and now is swaying the kidnapping toward Anthony and before it was Jessie? It is really dumb and makes nothing seem real, just all made up. It seems the more experienced lawyers on her team would advise Baez not to do this. It looks really bad. Absolutely no one buys any of it. They should know that.
When I saw Casey in court the other day, I felt she was ready to crack. She looked terrible. If she wants to confess and get this over with to some degree, I know her lawyers would not let her. they would not profit off of this if there is no trial. What ever it is they are seeking to gain out of defending her for free is surely going to back fire. All the time and tax payers money spent is such a waste on an already lost case. Their meaningless motions, hair splitting and cocky smiles are just a joke to the public - it seems they would realize what a waste of time they are spending. Most of the people I mention the case to think Casey was already convicted. That is how sure everyone is of her guilt. The defense needs to use their brains and either go for an accidental death or plead guilty. I am shocked every time I see them that they continue to play the game of defending her… it is just a lost cause for them. what is in it for them is the big question? so much energy put into an already lost cause. It is so crazy.
We are expecting some forrest rangers from Satsuma & Palatka at the hotel I work at this week. I’m going to try to pick a few “brains” about the geography of local area, questions about St Johns River access, waterways, canals, ect. Also thier personal feelings in regard to this case. Any strange or out of the ordinary occurances within thier forrestry area.
Tim’s group while occasionally looking for live missing children, is more often associated with recovering the dead
That is simply not true.

I dont like to advertise about other url’s but please you guys dont mind if this one is inhere, due to recent changes in Casey’s defense.
People either hate or like Leonard Padilla, to me I think he is talking more truth than George or Cindy and 100% more than Casey.
Judge Strickland at one time stated that the truth and Casey are Strangers to each other.
Well ok back to Padilla, listen carefully what he has to say about R. Kronk and the Daisy Chain in this case.
Roy Kronk his girlfrind works as a correctional officer in jail.
She most likely overheared J.Baez and Casey.
Therefore he believes that Kronk found Caylee.
Makes sence in a way, coz why would anybody go into a swampy mushy area wich could be infested with rattle snakes to use it as a bathroom.
I believe him.
But can he send out some ears to the Cummings place as well?
Thank you, Ingrid! We often share articles on news sites - especially local Orlando ones like wftv.
Unfortunately IF that was the case - that Kronk heard it from his girl friend who overheard Maggot telling her lawyer where she dumped the remains - then if that was proven, the remains might not be inadmissable as evidence. It would be a breach of attorney/client privilege. So if Padilla is going around blabbing that, he’s not doing the prosecution any good.
The only way it could still be admissable as evidence is if Maggot said it knowing that the girl friend was there and could hear them. Whatever Maggot says to her lawyer in the presence of a third party would not be privileged.
I really don’t understand why Padilla is carrying on about this unless he’s just PO’d that someone else found Caylee instead of him.
Sorry for the typo above. It should be “the remains might not be admissable.”
Anyway, I supported LP back when he bailed Maggot out. I thought it was worth giving her the chance because she’d claimed that she couldn’t say anything while she was in jail. So he bailed her out and she did nothing. If he hadn’t given her the chance I might have continued to wonder if we’d missed a chance to find Caylee.
Then when LP started gabbing and gossiping and telling wild theories on NG every night I got a little tired of it but stayed neutral. But lately I’ve been pretty unhappy with him. He’s hurting innocent people. Why even say that about Kronk? What’s the point? It doesn’t help anyone or anything and as I said it could end up helping the prosecution.
Obviously I’m too tired to be typing OR trying to think. I meant “it could end up helping the defense.” ‘Night all!
A lot of people and myself, wonder why they can’t arrest Misty put some fear in her so as to get the truth out of that girl? After all what happen should be called child neglect and or endangerment, you would think. She can’t come up with a truth worthy story so it looks like she or someone has done something.Ronald want let her talk with out his help at what to say.Even telling her to look at the camera while interviewing.I think she would tell if she was locked up away from that bum.He could not of loved that child as much as he has said or he would of gotten the truth out of her by now, unless he Knows the truth.Maybe like so many believe,he did something and this girl has covered for him and she is either scared of him or loves him enough to cover his A==.Mean while the DCF is letting him and her endanger that little boy. Please someone get that child away from those people.
I’m pretty sure this is the video that Cobra was discussing.

I agree with Dkerr.
I believe, since living in Fl. for over a yr, that things move slowly there, but, I believe, there will be an arrest in this case. We aren’t seeing all of the evidence that LE has, and they keep saying they need (one) more part in the missing puzzle to make an arrest, and there will be an arrest.(maybe more than one)
This is such a high profile case, and they have to be careful because some of these high-powered lawyers and (so called forensic specialists) will come in and get them off (just to make a name for themselves).
Karen Cox I hug you for that.
And on that second part of you comment I agree more, coz we all see what Mister Hosay Beyez is scheming.
José Baez ofcz.
I realize that anyone who defends any player in the Casey Anthony case should be up for a brawl, but I just can’t help thinking this:
Of course J B is going to pull out all of the stops in trying to get Casey ajudicated “Not Guilty” or whatever lesser charge. He wouldn’t necesarily be doing it “for the money & fame”. He would be doing it to secure his License to Practice Law. He would be in violation of his oath to the Bar Association if he didn’t do all he could for his client. (IMO) Am I wrong about this? I know many people do not care for defense attorneys or attorneys in general, maybe even for this reason. However, think about this, if you were on trial for ANY crime, wouldn’t you want YOUR attorney to represent YOU to the best of his/her abilities? No matter what….within the legal limits of the law? (He must be, or he’d be disbarred by now.)What if YOU were facing the DP? People should expect these types of defense strategies. They are Parr for the course and nothing to get upset about.
I don’t agree this is a high profile case, far from it. More like under the radar, if anything.
I have a question for Simon, can you find out of Cobra paid Art Harris 5K to report with him? Tim H. is claiming this and I find it hard to believe. However, if Art did accept this money this sheds a whole new light on Mr. Bald Truth. Thanks in advance for any help you may render.

Uh, had to check to make sure this thread was about Haleigh Cummings, wasn’t sure after the Bozo/Atty advertisement.
The last thing I want to read here is about Bozo and Casey Anthony.
Read the following article this morning and thought it was interesting about Haleigh Cummings, Caylee Anthony, and the Gosselin’s.

America’s Missing Children – Why No One Cares!
by Brandy Connery Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009 at 11:47 AM
America’s missing, abused and exploitated children, Robert Manwill, Gosselin’s, Haleigh Cummings, Caylee Anthony.
Seattle WA – According to the FBI’s National Crime Information Center (NCIC): The number of missing persons reported to law enforcement has increased from 154,341 in 1982 to 876,213 in 2000. That is an increase of 468%
If any other segment of our population were so impacted, we would declare an epidemic: the Centers for Disease Control would fund a cure, we would pass and enforce legislation, and we would increase public and private security.
Since it is only a child that is missing, the public turns away and accepts the appalling statistics as status quo. America’s children have fewer rights than a dog!
It takes a village. Wake up America! Teachers, you are with the child more than the parents. You are ignoring the signs and turning away from the child that is silently crying to you for help. As a teacher, your only duty (according to you) is: to look like you are teaching, get home early, and get your paycheck. Oh, and don’t forget to yell the loudest about how much you do, and how little you get paid.
Case in point, Robert Manwill of Boise, Idaho, went missing on July 24, 2009. His body was later found floating in a canal. How did he die? By the hands of his mother and her boyfriend! His teacher, who saw Robert Manwill every day saw the signs of abuse, but decided to ignore them, hoping soon the school year would end and Manwill would be the concern of another woefully cold and disspassionate teacher, who too would ignore the signs. Now both teachers have sighed a sense of relief, Manwill is dead and he is no longer their concern.
On every block, on every floor of an apartment building and in every mobile home park children are being abused, tortured and killed and NO ONE CARES! Child welfare claims their case load over burdens them. Teachers claim their class size is too large.
The ONLY time America pays any attention is when the child is cute and white. Such as Haleigh Cummings, or Caylee Anthony. The media couldn’t parade their pictures enough. You won’t find the media parading around any children of color that are missing! OK, the media did tell us about Hassani Campbell of Fremont, California, but that was just because he was handicapped. His picture only lasted 48 hours. Have you read anything or seen his picture lately? Do you care?
Wait, could American’s be waking up, could their subconscious, be talking to them? Why I ask, does anyone care about Jon and Kate Gosselin, plus their 8 children?
The Gosselin’s seemed to have turned their fortunes around and have provided a good lifestyle for their children. One that even they have stated would never have been possible with out their show. The children are all cute, well fed and well clothed. I personally see so abuse. So the mom yells a few times, what mom hasn’t. So I ask you again, why are there so many news articles, blogs, calls the Child Welfare, and TV news shows about the exploitation of the Gosselin children?
It is because America can’t come to grips with the abuse, cruelty, killings and kidnapping of the truly lost children? So America has instead targeted the Gosselins to voice their frustrations.
The frustrations have occurred because at one time America did care. Now when someone calls Child Welfare with documented (photos) of abuse of the child and Child Welfare doesn’t not even investigate, frustration sets in and we say to our selves “Why call, they don’t do anything anyway”.
Case in point, recently a neighbor called Child Protective Services in California and stated that a young child, around 4 years old, was at the curb and throwing an axe in the air and at cars. The neighbor was video taping the incident. Did CPS pay the child a visit? No! The neighbor called the police, showed them the video tape. The police went to the child’s house, spoke with an adult and left. NOTHING was ever done. The child died a few months later, due to an “accidental” shot gun wound. He was playing with a gun the found in the house.
This is only ONE of MANY frustrating accounts I could site about why American’s ignore the welfare of our most innocent, and helpless, our children. We have spoken out and no one listens. America is still speaking out, albeit obliquely, through the Gosselins.
Please I beg everyone of you who reads this article, look around you. It is your duty to turn in any one you suspect of abusing a child. “Together we can bring the missing home”, is a quote from http://www.LifesPassages.com.
Do not look the other way. We all know an abused child.
Well said, Mercedes! And thank you for putting it into words which will be difficult to ignore. Hopefully. Too many folks are looking the other way, turning a blind eye, not wanting to make a scene or hurt feelings. I have confronted parents, gently most of the time unless I felt an urgency, and I get approving looks and nods from bystanders, but never any backup. Certainly a good area in which to focus serious attention. Do you have ideas as to how John Q. Public can help and/or get involved? Again, thank you for your special and eloquent words for such an ugly subject.
Hi, Mercedes!
I’m trying to clarify some of the “info” in the article you posted above.
Usually when the FBI talks about “Missing Persons” they are including adults and seniors so I don’t know whether the number mentioned in that article is referring to children or adults or both.
Specific information on missing CHILDREN can be found on the home page of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. That info follows. Please note that the number is for those who have been “Reported Missing” so some may have been found. Also, I believe that children who may have voluntarily run away from home are included in the statistics below (because they’re still reported as “missing.”)
IMO one missing child for any reason for any length of time is too many but we might as well get our facts straight if we’re going to talk about it.
On the home page of the web site for The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children where it states that:
“The U.S. Department of Justice reports
• 797,500 children (younger than 18) were reported missing in a one-year period of time studied resulting in an average of 2,185 children being reported missing each day.
• 203,900 children were the victims of family abductions.
• 58,200 children were the victims of non-family abductions.
• 115 children were the victims of “stereotypical” kidnapping. (These crimes involve someone the child does not know or someone of slight acquaintance, who holds the child overnight, transports the child 50 miles or more, kills the child, demands ransom, or intends to keep the child permanently.)
