Its a sad situation very sad. I pray that something in this case breaks if Misty dad or brother knows something I hope they come forward. Apparently the father and this Misty girl doesnt give a darn about this child. “He claims he wants her home then but your child first and the skank last. Your child should come first you should be looking all over the place for your daughter, regarless you have money or no money.

There is a rat two of them… For mr cummings to cut off a rats head and put in the mailbox there is more to the story and I believe all of us already knew of it from the start of this case. If you have nothing to hide Misty get your butt to the police station answer the question, how can either one of you sleep at night, apparently you have a cold butt heart. God doesnt like ugly and I believe the truth will come out its coming I have a feeling….

May God watch over Crytal and her family as she honors Haleigh on her birthday may God bring this family strength and courage each and every day. May God bring the answers that we all are waiting for to where this precious child of God is. I know my thoughts on this from the start when I learned about it. I would like to think i am wrong but I dont think so… Its sad how people can take others life when there are people out there who cant have children, or those who loss their child at an earlier stage of life and living in heaven with Jesus when those parents misses their children. Its sad and an ugly world and monsters that are out there. These days you cant trust anyone…… If they cant afford food how come they always have a smoke in their hands and Misty how can you be smiling when you got your loser out of jail. He should be right there and you should be right beside him.

Ok, let me get the fact that my mom is a retired English teacher and it has rubbed off on me first. This article has some typo’s in it. If you re-read, there are two places that need to be edited. OK, done with that.

Ron has lost weight? Give me a break! He didn’t look any worse for the wear coming out of the jail after his drug addicted, lying bride bailed him out. He looked a hell of a lot better than he did after Haleigh went “missing.” It’s quite evident he was hopped up on drugs then. Why PCSO has not drug tested these two is beyond me. He would not have custody of Jr. if he were not living with his granmother. Why aren’t Ron and Misty puting flyers up? What have they been doing to search for Haleigh? Getting into brawls with his FIL and BIL, decapitating a rat and placing it in a mail box, getting a tatto, getting married and flying to NYC on NBC’s dime is NOT my idea of searching for his daughter. Both, IMO, know exactly what happened to Haleigh. Neither will go on television or talk to LE – WHY – IF they are innocent.

Crystal seems like she has finally come out of her daze and is doing what she can, as is Marie. Again, my opinion.

I am happy there will be a balloon ceremony to mark Haleigh’s 6th birthday and pray that eventually, Haleigh is brought home.

Hi, sickoftheb.s.! Looks like you are new here so I’ll say “Welcome!” and let you know some of the background regarding the topic of your exchange with Simon.
Those of us who have blogged here for a long time have seen many people comment only or mostly about the writing – quality, spelling, punctuation – instead of the topic (Haleigh, Caylee, among others). To most of us the quality of the writing is irrelevant. What’s important – as you said – is what happened to Haleigh.
Simon was sticking up for a friend and fellow writer I’m sure (TJ). It’s unusual for Simon to leave a comment, so please don’t expect him or Jan to reply to yours at all – or very often. They are busy researching and writing other articles and running BNN.
So usually if you get a reply to a comment it will be from another blogger.
And also, may I kindly and with respect, suggest that you refrain from commenting on anyone’s writing, spelling or punctuation? Not enough of your mother’s knowledge has rubbed off on you. The plural versions of typo and error do not include an apostrophe. The apostrophe is usually used to show the possessive or a contraction.
So let’s just comment on the topic, okay?

ron must have watched (the godfather) after his arrest in the incedent with misty’s brother, but figured a rat would be easer than tring to fit a horse head in the mailbox!! i wonder what kind of weed these people are smoking?? or is it shroom’s!!

blogbs: I think it’s an annoying little thing called the Law. LE has to have a reason to arrest someone and put them in jail. And, unless it’s a murder charge, the person usually has the option to bail out of jail – which Ron did for example when he was arrested for the brawl with his in-laws recently. In fact it was Misty who bailed him out (probably with Ron’s or grandma’s money).
I guess LE does not have enough evidence to arrest either Ron or Misty in regard to Haleigh’s disappearance. And both have been interviewed several times with no luck. So there is nothing LE can do right now as far as I can see. If LE arrests them without enough reason or keeps hauling them in for questioning then R and M can sue LE for harrassment. I would not like to see that happen, that’s for sure.

Yes, Misty may know more than she’s said so far, I don’t know.
I’m sure Misty’s remark that “lawyers are only for guilty people” was not a long-held, well-thought out belief. She’s too young and stupid for that. And I’m sure she was sorry she ever said it when Ron ended up having to get a lawyer.
It’s amazed me that Misty didn’t have one for so long. I don’t know why she got one now , do you? Is LE demanding to question her again?

There are lots of reasons someone might get a lawyer. Crystal supposedly did to help with her custody issues for example. Some people use lawyers as spokespersons to the press for example. Maybe Misty’s in negotiations with Teen Magazine about an article to co-author with Former Gov Palin’s daughter. (I am being totally sarcastic. That is not true.).

In other words, getting a lawyer does not mean someone is guilty. It can mean lots of things including that they smartened up and decided not to let LE haul them in for more hours of questioning without a very good reason (like new evidence or potential charges). Then anyone and everyone would want a lawyer.

If Misty really has told them all she knows then she can use the lawyer to keep LE away. THey really don’t have the right to browbeat her for hours on end without new evidence and even then if she refuses to talk and asks for a lawyer then they cannot question her anymore – or nothing she said could be used anyway at that point. That’s the way the law works.
If it was me and I was innocent and LE had NOTHING on the case and kept after me I think I’d be pretty fed up too. So again, getting a lawyer or refusing to undergo more hours of useless questioning is not necessarily an indication of guilt. It is not obstruction of justice to get a lawyer the first time cops want to talk to you nevermind the 10th time.
It is a RIGHT.
As far as child endangerment due to coming off a 3-day drug binge – IF LE had drug tested her that night and she tested positive then maybe that charge could stick. But I don’t think they did that. And the people telling the tale are all druggies themselves, aren’t they? Who is going to believe them? And even if anyone did, then where is the proof that Misty was responsible for Haleigh’s disappearance? There isn’t any (that I know of). Children have been taken from their own beds in their own homes right under their devoted parents’ noses by evil people. It does happen. So no proof there either so whether she was high or not is simply not relevant. And it won’t be relevant until they find out what happened to Haleigh.

Now please don’t get me wrong. I don’t like Misty – what’s to like? And I’m not defending her. But I don’t KNOW if she is responsible for Haleigh’s disappearance. I’m just trying to explain the way the law works.

Supposedly because of “criminal activities” in the local area (if I remember correctly). I wonder how local LE will react this time.

High-profile attorney Mark NeJame announced today that he and the non-profit search group Texas EquuSearch will help the family of missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings.

NeJame, EquuSearch founder Tim Miller and the Cummings family will hold a press conference in Orlando on Monday to talk about their plans to proceed with the search.

Haleigh has been missing from her Satsuma home since February.

NeJame’s office said he was contacted by Haleigh’s relatives to help find the missing girl. The lawyer reached out to Miller, whose group helped search for Caylee Marie Anthony in Orange County.

NeJame once represented Caylee’s grandparents.

M2c, you are spouting incorrect information again. Tim Miller was not asked to leave by the law enforcement officials. His group responded to another missing child case after their search in satsuma. I think your friend Cobra can vouch for this as well. I think he found out the truth.

Sorry, “come on,” but, first, what do you mean “again?” I’m not aware of the first time. You must have forgotten to tell me.
And second, that is what I read about why the search was called off. I read the local Florida news and the articles here. I’ll try to find where I read it. And I am not a “friend” of Cobra. I have stayed as far away from that subject as I can. And of course Tim has hundreds of other places he can go search at any time. He’s very much needed and wanted all over (sadly).

KSue, I can write whatever I like and obviously you live in a fantasy world..No one can sue for freedom of speech but you must also believe in the tooth fairy and the easter bunny. Wake up and smell the roses..most little girls dont mysteriously disappear and turn up alive..Sorry, that is the sad reality. I hope im wrong but Misty is very very sketchy.

M2c presenting a statement as fact, rather than fact as fact is irresponsible, and that is what has happened with many people reporting in this case. While I realize that there are not many facts coming out of LE, people don’t need to fabricate information to place blame on the real group of people working day in and day out to find the little girl. Further I know for FACT that LE continually encourages people to participate in the case by providing information, searches and any other things that would bring the girl home. People just need to understand what their legal boundaries are and not cross them in their search for the girl, because if they cross that line, LE is required to interact with that person, which again takes away from the search for Haleigh. So any search Tim does is great and truly welcomed in the case, because the bottom line is about bringing Haleigh home. Criticizing LE based on uneducated statements or knowledge is again a travesty. I again know for FACT that they are doing all the things they can to bring Haleigh home, and they are emotionally connected to this child as well. So please help the case by promoting the return of Haleigh, search for her, ask people questions, and provide your information to LE (who will listen to you, but please don’t promote unfactual information and innuendo toward LE.

Oh, and come on: As far as accusing me of spouting incorrect information etc, you really need to address that to some other folks. My comments over the past year on several cases are not known for that particular bad trait.
I’m the least of your worries on that score.
