I love Lindsay Lohan, or at least I used to.  We watched her as she was growing up and there was great expectation as she grew closer and closer to turning eighteen.  Of course, it would not really make any difference at all to those of us doing the countdown.  For a while there, she was so beautiful.  She was the shining ray that we all knew she was going to become.  Then she lost it all.  How painful, both for her and for us.  Now she has a movie that’s gone direct to DVD and you can pick it up today!

Starting this August 4th, now available on Blu-ray Disc from Latitude Films and First Look Studios comes the tale of a women who fakes her way into a pregnancy and now she’s stuck with the lie.  Labor Pains – Blu-ray Disc is ready to squeeze right out of your television screen and fill your living room with job and pregnancy related humor.  Bring home this film today in high definition.

Thea has a job.  It’s low paying and is a complete dead end, but it’s the only job she could get.  Now, in order to hold on to it, she has begun to pretend that she is pregnant to keep from getting fired.  Since she is not in fact pregnant, this course of action looks like it is doomed to fail.  But as the months go on, Thea becomes more and more invested in making everything work out well.  But will she be able to?  This movie stars Lindsay Lohan, Cheryl Hines, Chris Parnell and Aaron Yoo and premiered on ABC Family.

The special features included in this Blu-ray Disc are a look at the making of this film, some interviews with the cast, photos from production, digital surround sound, English and Spanish subtitles and previews of coming films.

Oh, how the mightily hot have fallen.  Lindsay Lohan used to be box office gold.  Heck, I even used to go watch her movies, just for the treat of seeing her on such a big screen.  Now her latest movie has come out and it premiered on ABC Family right before coming out directly to home video.  The story itself isn’t the worst thing imaginable, but there just isn’t the talent required to carry a comedy in this movie.  Li-Lo has never been able to be funny convincingly and the big funny guns they bring in are Chris Parnell?  He’s only capable of being funny ironically, because he isn’t actually funny.  That’s the whole problem with this movie.  It just isn’t funny.

It Pains me to see Li-Lo fall to such depths.

This Blu-ray Disc is available at Amazon.com.
