Nobel-Prize winning economist Milton Friedman died on November 16, 2006 at the age of 94, according to media reports. Friedman was a leading light in libertarian economic theory, and advocated removing government control over private economic choice. He was best known for the “Free to Choose” TV series and book which he co-authored with his wife, Rose.
 
Friedman is survived by his wife, Rose, and his son, economist David Friedman.
