The Health and Safety Administration in the UK has issued another warning to businesses in the UK with regards to looking out for asbestos in the workplace, which can cause a variety of health problems including a form of cancer known as mesothelioma, for which there is currently no cure available.

The HSE has stated that the asbestos related cancer is currently the biggest cause of work related death in the UK at present, and that employers need to ensure that they are taking steps to manage asbestos on the work place and deal with any problems as they arise.

As part of the warnings employers have been told that if they believe that there is asbestos present in the workplace they need to make sure that employees are given appropriate awareness training and made aware of the dangers of asbestos exposure.

Also, support groups are still calling for further research to be carried out into asbestos relating cancer, stating that far more research is being carried out into other types of cancer whereas mesothelioma seems to be getting left behind.
