		<description>One reason Dan Brown deserves intense criticism is that he claimed that he based the novel on extensive "research"i.e., that it was based on fact. That misled lots of people to believe it was true, even if it was a novel.  It was his arrogance and ego, in combination with people's naivete, that caused great harm.</description>

What also is funny is that most people didn't notice the fact that much of this had been done before in David Morrel's novel series about assassins within the Catholic Church.</description>
