Meryl Streep is absolutely wonderful in this movie.Amy Adams played her usual sweet character, but she played it well, as she always does. I loved this movie, and you will too! But make sure you eat before you see it!

Thanks for this thorough and well-thought out review. I saw the movie last night and posted my own thoughts on my blog this morning.

Meryl Streep was breathtaking, and once again proved that she is one of the most versatile actresses out there. And I thought Stanley Tucci was impeccable as Julia Child's husband!

I saw Julie & Julia today. I was left a little flummoxed about the ending.

Is it a fact that Julia Child indeed objected to Julie Powell's blog and stated so publicly?

What were her objections? Did she feel her name/fame were being used by Ms. Powell or was this simply a case of a 90+ woman not understanding or wanting to understand the purpose of Ms.Powell's blog??

I'd appreciate any opinions on this ending - my friend and I were left a little let down on the end to an otherwise delightful, tour de force for Ms. Streep, as per usual.
