what an amazing sense of entitlement that we seem to have. Health care, while it should be more affordable, will only rise under the current plan under consideration.
The bill itself is such a mess it should not be touched with a ten foot pole.

It's just sad to see stupidity displayed on this kind of scale.

Hint: Who has health care systems that outperform the US? EVERY other industrialized nation. Those "horror stories" you hear are mostly fictional or embellished or cherry picked form one person among several freaking million people the system covers who had a bad experience and then sold to you as being what care in those nations is "really" like by the health insurance lobby, who are protecting their ability to continue sucking your bank balance dry.

And who runs those superior systems for far less cost than the US? Once again: EVERY other industrialized nation.

And which of them do this by utilizing higher public sector involvement in their health care systems than the US does? All together now class: ALL of them. That's right!

And which of them cover larger segments of their populations than the US does? Take a wild guess what the answer is. Go ahead. You can do it.

So yes, by all means, let's all run out and sign a petition against paying lower costs for better service for more people! We can't let that happen! It'll be the end of civilization as we know it!

Of course, here's the funny thing. The plan Congress is considering? It isn't anywhere near a "government run" system, which means it isn't going to work very well, which means you're actually right to not be happy about it but you're freaking out for all the wrong reasons.
