Was a bittersweet walk thru that horrific day. My only brother, T/Sgt. Joseph E. McDonnell, was the Crew Engineer killed along with the pilots and S/Sgt. Walter Luce. I have come to know some of the members of the 445th of those days, I was only 11. In the past 5 years have been in contact with Col. John H. Robinson, retired; and Mjr. Ned Daugherty, retired. It has been like finding brothers again. I would love to hear from you, but if not, just know I am so thankful you wrote the book, settled into you life more firmly, and pray for many more years to come.
