Byrd and Melanie Billings were murdered in their bedroom on July 9.
This simple statement actually does not reveal the brutality of what happened in Escambia County, Florida on July 9. Byrd and Melanie were not drug dealers, they were not mob related, they were not on anyones ‘hit list’ that anyone can think of. Yet they met their demise at the hands of what was clearly a well planned and well coordinated event.
Six to eight people are being sought, at least 5 were dressed ‘ninja’ style. They broke into the home, and killed the couple. The motive supposedly was robbery, but even the police are having a hard time swallowing that one. This couple was known for acting as foster parents, and for giving the best care available.
The police have a surprising amount of information, and they are not yet sharing much of it. However they are saying that three people entered through the front door, and two via the back door. One can assume that the ’six to eight’ number of suspects comes from people keeping watch, or driving escape vehicles.
The Billings were known as deep and caring parents, it has been reported that they had 17 children in their charge. Why would someone do such a thing? Why kill this couple?
Theories are rampant. And the cops do have a couple of ‘persons of interest’ in custody.
I got a rather cryptic email message from a good friend of mine. Watch Nancy Grace tonight, the story is going to be featured. Maybe some information will be forthcoming on this very strange and very disturbing case.

Did the live in Pace? or Milton? I should already know about this as I live one county away. I ask about Pace because it is known for rampant pedophilia exploits. It’s known in pedo circles as P. A. C. E. or Piece of Ass Comes Easily. The only reason IMO that a group of people, former wards possibly, would do such a thing is for revenge due to abuse. Yes, there is still abuses that go on inside the Foster Care system. I’ll look more into this and see what I can “dig up”.

This is a horrific crime and I’m very glad to see what a good job LE is doing in apprehending these guys and getting to the bottom of it. I’m praying for the family, and most especially those precious children of theirs, all 16 of them. These were good people and this should not have happened.
I wonder if these killings have some connection to the anti-adoption movement. They were definitely targeted. They were harmless people, caring for childrent that needed them. There should be more couples like them, not fewer.
It wasn’t robbery, because as far as I know, nothing was taken from the house. It wasn’t a hate crime because the children were handicapped. If this were true, the murderers would have killed the children too. But they didn’t.
It wasn’t revenge because the Billings had the children of the killers. It has been established that the killers were unrelated to the children.
I can’t imagine why anyone would harm this couple, unless the killers are fanatics of some kind. What are they fanatical about? I don’t know. Maybe they are fanatical anti-adoption activists. Maybe they think the murders of adoptive parents will discourage adoption. Maybe they are really super, hard-core pro-aborts. If this is so, they are probably angry because the adoption of handicapped kids makes it harder to convince pregnant mothers to abort their handicapped babies.
Maybe they are satanist who just don’t like kind hearted people.
Take your pick which of the three possibilities I’ve listed above is the likely one. Maybe there is a fourth possibility that I haven’t thought of yet.

Someone must know the background on Mr. Byrd Billing - he is 68 - has he always had used cars - could he be involved with something else - guns drugs are always obvious concerns - also the “mastermind” has a rather strange facebook page - two actually - re his daughter “Bella” who was taken from him - did he think the Billings were somehow involved with his daughter Bella - he blames a family - the Herkels - for the daughter being taken from him -I suggest looking at his facebook page if it is still up - kind of interesting - this is a very strange crime
