Was this a victory for Casey Anthony or a disappointment? Does she really want to sit in jail for that long waiting to have her day in court so (as her lawyer put it) we can all hear her side of it and then we will say oh, now we understand! I doubt anyone will ever be saying that. To begin with NO ONE in their right mind would sit in jail for all that time IF they had evidence that they were innocent. They wouldn’t be waiting for their “day in court’ to present this evidence. Baez must think we are all as dumb as he is. Casey loved to party too much. There is no way she would give her partying up just so she can have her day in court.
Her team of lawyers appeared before Judge Stan Strickland along with the prosecutors for the case requesting a postponement from the October trial.
One of Casey’s ‘specialty’ lawyers, Dr. Andrea Lyon, a so called death penalty expert, claims that her teaching schedule at DePaul University won’t allow her enough time to prepare for the trial which was originally set for October 12 th.
She told Judge Strickland, “I will be making a motion at this time to strike that date, to set a status date sometime in January and to set a trial date at that time when all parties know where we are.”
Now Judge Strickland has agreed to set the pretrial hearing for January 21st at 10 am EST. So I guess this will be another Christmas in jail for Casey!
In other movements involving Casey Anthony, Jose (sleazebag) Baez has graciously agreed to allow prosecutors to take a picture of Casey’s tattoo but stipulates that he will only allow it if he is present. Why does he feel the need to be present?
Also on the table was that prosecutors had filed a motion on June 23rd asking that a trial be set within 2 months where Casey is charged with stealing checks and money from her then friend Amy Huizenga but the defense (no doubt the sleazebag himself) wants it postponed until after Casey’s murder trial. The judge wants documentation from Huizenga stating that she wants to invoke her right to a speedy trial. He said he will decide on that once he has heard arguments from both sides.
Apparently WKMG has filed a motion to intervene Judge Strickland’s decision to block the jailhouse video of Casey Anthony on December 11, 2008, the day Caylee’s remains were found. The video is said to show a reaction from Casey that she had never shown before as if she knew she was busted. From the way the reaction has been described my opinion would be it was because she knew all the other times when something was found it couldn’t have been Caylee so she wasn’t worried but when she heard about this one she knew it was the remains of her daughter. This reaction came before a positive identification had even been made. No court date has been set yet for this.
As everyone should know 2 year old Caylee Anthony disappeared in mid June 2008 and wasn’t reported missing til July 15, 2008, 31 days later. Her mother, Casey claims the ‘Nanny’ ran off with Caylee and a trail of lies has followed after that from Casey. State prosecutors have decided to charge Casey with first degree murder and if she is convicted the state plans to ask for the death penalty. Caylee’s remains were found less than a half a mile from the Anthony’s home in a wooded area where Casey and her friend use to bury their dead pets.
Let’s hope that little Caylee will get the justice she so rightfully deserves in this and the person responsible for taking her life never sees another free day in her life again if she doesn’t get he death penalty.
Caylee life goes on for all of us but you can believe that you will never be forgotten. The world waits for your justice so you may rest in peace. God bless you honey, we still love you!

Caylee is as forefront in the minds of those of us in her cyber family who loved her from the moment we heard that she was a missing two-year-old. The cries for her to have justice have pierced the lies of her mother and grandparents. Although the wheels of justice do, indeed, grind slowly, the TRUTH will out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All Casey is doing now is forestalling her inevitble date with Big Bertha in the Big House.
In my humble opinion the judge needs to be more firm in some of these motions. Ms Lyon knew she had her teaching obligation. She knows that a death penalty case requires a lot of time and preperation. As for the other cases against Casey those people that has been done wrong should not have to wait possibly a year or two to get their justice. Casey got herself in this situation so she can bear the consequences in my opinion. We love you Caylee.
This is just another stall tactic from the defense.Someone needs to keep an eye on Ms. Lyon to make sure she is not teaching at DePaul using the Anthony case as an example for case in point.Oh,another thing,what happened to all the evidence that Mr. Baez has that proves his client innocent?What say Mr.Baez???Who knows– Casey may rather be in jail then out,having to live with crazy Cindy and George.
I think it would benefit everyone if we could understand that something is wrong inside of Casey’s head. Whether she was born that way or became that way we don’t know but it is obvious that something in there is not right. It does no one any good to wish her ill or demand justice for the act she committed. Caylee’s life was short and beautiful and nothing will bring her back. The memory of what Casey did will torture her for the rest of her life. Also, I am sure she will try for a reduction in charges to manslaughter by claiming she was too intoxicated and merely forgot Caylee was in the car until it was too late and then panicked and tried to lie her way out of it. I also think that’s probably the truth.

Sounds to me like she couldn’t wait to get out and party after her little one was gone, and she still acts like she couldn’t care less, you ever see her cry? A real mom would cry probably every time the name of her killed daughter would be mentioned. No, I don’t think she will suffer with it the rest of her life. She is simply worried about getting out of there and she is sure that her attorney will get her out. That she now has an attorney who goes right on teaching instead of working on the case, shows me she couldn’t care less about Casey getting off. What a mess and what a waste of time and money. Since the media has never published anything in regard to an analysis of Casey’s mental health, one can only speculate on her mental condition. Personally, I feel it is irrelevant whether she’s menatlly ill or not. She committed an extremely evil-minded, vicious murder (of her own baby, no less), and she should pay, whether it be with her own life or life in prison. I feel she has been ‘conditioned’ to become a spoiled, extremely self-centered, non-caring human being by her own parents. They should have used ‘tough love’ many years ago on her. By tough love, I’m not speaking of corporal punishment, rather, putting your foot down and telling her “No”, and NOT condoning her behaviour, and supporting her when she’s in the wrong!!!! In short, I, for one, believe people should stop referring to her as a ’sociopath’ for fear that she may only end up spending a few years in a mental institution, and be right back on the streets to do it again!!!
I am waiting for the trial…things will come out at the trial which have not surfaced just yet. I am waiting for Caylee’s justice. But all in all, if my child was missing for just one hour, I would call in the National Guard, family, friends, neighbors, strangers and could not sleep afterwards this is what a normal, loving mother would do and would lay her life down for her own child…”no mother I know of” would lead her own investigation for a month without calling the police, immediate family, all other people which I mentioned above. This was the biggest red flag in my soul and heart for this child. No one wins in this situation. It s a terrible loss on all sides…but justice needs to be served on all sides. This lawyer is doing what he does Best, and he just doesnt want to face the Facts that she is a killer . So he keeps on asking for delays in everything . I can go along with saying it’s unproductive to wish her ill BUT it’s ridiculous to say society shouldn’t demand justice when someone commits a crime… especially a heinous one.
The prisons are FILLED with criminals who have ’something wrong inside their heads.’ Some of these people were born that way & sometimes it’s due to their upbringing but still they made CHOICES in their adult lives that landed them outside the law. The majority of people with mental illness AND/OR terrible childhoods have managed to live law abiding lives & lead productive lives.
And I think the time is long gone where Casey can convince a jury that Caylee died accidentally & she just panicked. She had plenty of opportunities to speak up & yet she, her lawyer AND her own family chose to cling to the non-existent nanny alibi for far too long… past the point where anyone could ever begin to believe the NEXT lie out of their mouths.
IMO, if Zenaida & Morgan did NOT file that suit against Casey, the defense would STILL be claiming a ‘nanny’ kidnapped Caylee. Once the suit was filed, they finally shut up about that ridiculous lie.

I think most of us do understand that something is wrong with maggot’s “head.” But why should we NOT demand justice for the act she committed?” Are you suggesting that she go free? Or that she be sentenced to a mental institution (and then set free)? Very likely she is a “sociopath” but that means she knew right from wrong. As always she just chose to do what SHE wanted. It’s not the type of mental illness that makes someone not responsible for their actions. And I sure do NOT want her set free to kill again or steal again or anything else. She’s done enough harm already.
Also it is the public’s responsibility to demand justice for the murder (intentional or not) of a little girl who did not live long enough to see three candles on a cake. We HAVE to care that justice is done.

Nothing is as sick as killing a young individual, but being that it is your OWN little girl; that is terrible. Just because you didn’t want the baby doesn’t mean you have the right to kill your own little baby.
