I would like to point out I am 29 year old father of two and a former owner of both pythons and boas (5 red-tail boas, 2 rosy boas, and 2 ball pythons). In my years of owning these incredible animals i've done alot of research and read many books about these creatures (and never once did I take them for granite). Because at the end of the day no matter how tame or predictable you think they are, they're still in fact animals. Although I was a responsible owner I made the solid decision to get rid of these snakes as soon as my kids were born into this world (in fear of something like this happening) and now I know it was the right decision....in my opinion the gentleman sould have known the dangers of owning such animals the dangers of owning such an (its just like owning a loaded gun) and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
