I am only half your age but while growing up in the 80's, it was Michael Jackson that I was looking up to. My father was a die hard fan and taught me to dance to Michael Jackson songs. Thriller was always played in our car. I've got all the casette collection of his albums. I would danced to Beat It while my cousins danced to ballet. I remember my dad playing some Motown music in the living room during family parties. It was good fun. We have indeed lost the world's greatest. RIP in peace and harmony Michael.. Some artists are great singers who dance well, some are great dancers who sing well. Michael Jackson was a great singer and a great dancer. I'm 48 yrs old, so i could say that I "grew up with him".. from his ABC to Ben, to She's out of my Life, to Bad, Thriller, Dangerous, History.... I bought a lot of his videos, and I influenced my kids and my older sister and her kids to being die hard Michael Jackson fans. Unfortunately I was living in the province when MJ came to the Philippines and while my sister tried to get a ticket for me as a present, she was not able to. I cried when I learned that he died. Why? Because Michael, for all his talwnts, his populaity and his wealth, led a very lonely life.... So I mourn, not his death but the lobely life he lived. The world lost a great artist.
