I sold a Bosh Dishwasher on eBay on the 16th May in good working condition and no faults at all. Two days later, the buyer complaint that there were rust on the door and as we did not mention this, she wanted to return the item. We obviously knew that there were no rust in the front but,as a gesture of goodwill, decided to accept the dishwasher back. When the dishwasher was returned, I saw that the cold fill water hose had been cut and rang the buyer up immediately. She proceeded to shout and denied that the dishwasher had ever left the van, a total fabrication as she told me that her husband could not deliver the dishwasher on the Thursday evening because he had to empty the van before they could load the dishwasher into the van, and secondly, when the dishwasher was taken out of the van, there was water pouring out of the dishwasher. It should be bone dry as it had been in storage for over a year. The rust that she complained about were just cosmetic rust around the bottom rubber trimmings and one has to bend really closely to see the rust. They were only so minute and in a very small area. We wrote to eBay and at first they did not want to assist but, after reading the reply from eBay, I wrote again. This time, a Jack Derre promised to help. This was 25th June and since that empty promise, I have yet to receive a single response to at least six of my emails. Yes, I am afraid that sellers are not protected at all and there is, as you aptly put, the danger of a nasty buyer (lewhanwil)like ours, putting a very negative feedback to be spiteful. I am really quite shocked that ebay is allowed to trade in such a manner without offering an help to victims of dishonest buyers. It is time that there should be a legislation to protect such wrongdoings and some form of comeback for the innocent seller. We are now stuck with a useless dishwasher and NO HELP AT ALL FROM EBAY. Jack Derre has decided to ignore all my emails despite his promise to help. SELLERS ON EBAY SHOULD BE AWARE OF SUCH DISHONEST BUYERS!!! WHY SHOULD BUYERS ONLY HAVE LEGAL COMEBACK AND EBAY SHOULD HAVE A DUTY TO BOTH SELLERS AND BUYERS.

Thank you
