Two major corporations are being sued by the family of a man who passed away as a result of asbestos related cancer, mesothelioma. According to the lawsuit the man died as a result of being exposed to asbestos at his place of work. The lawsuit was filed earlier this month in Jefferson County District Court.

The lawsuit has been filed by the wife and children of Michael W Osborne Snr. The two corporate giants that are at the centre of the lawsuit are Texaco and Chevron. It is claimed that Mr Osborne developed the asbestos related cancer from his work at Texaco and at other facilities in the county.

The complaint goes on to state that after developing mesothelioma Mr Osborne were on to experience a ‘terrible and painful death’. It is further claimed that whilst the corporate giants were aware of the dangers linked to asbestos they did not inform the employees of these dangers.

In addition to seeking damages over the death of Mr Osborne his family are also seeking interest at the going rate, as well as other costs and relief payments to which they may be entitled.
