My passport lapsed a couple of years ago.  I’ve been meaning to get one for quite some time, but have never gotten around to it.  It’s not that I don’t want to leave the country and see other parts of the world – I certainly want to do that.  I simply don’t have the money to go and see places where life is more real than in America.  But you don’t have to leave the country to learn about some great places far away and now there’s a new DVD which will teach you just that!

Starting this May 19th, now available on DVD from Lionsgate Productions and HIT Entertainment comes a wonderfully international collection of fun from your favorite purple dinosaur and all of his friends.  Barney – Let’s Go On Vacation is ready to hop right out of your television screen and stamp your passport with a visa to the land of fun.  Bring home this educational and thoroughly entertaining film today!

Barney, Riff, Baby Bop, BJ and their playground friend Emma are together in a brand new adventure that has never before been seen on television.  Using both their imaginations and the Travel Book, this group of friends will travel to Mexico and meet their new friends, or amigos, Amalita and Fernan.  What will they do down in Mexico?  Well, they will try a bunch of new Mexican foods, go dancing, play with a pinata and learn some great new words in Spanish.  Most importantly, they, and everyone watching, will learn that the most important thing about anyone is that they can be our friends and that is something worth celebrating.

The special features included in this DVD are a bonus episode of Roary The Racing Car, “Roary’s Day At The Seaside,” the new series from the makers of Bob The Builder, Barney’s travel checklist, a game that lets you pack your suitcase, and three Spanish sing-a-longs to the songs “Mr. Knickerbocker,” “If All The Raindrops” and “I Love You.”

It is never too early to impress upon children the importance of multiculturalism.  Jingoism has no place in the world of today and children should never be exposed to it.  Once again, Barney and all of his friends have created a magnificent adventure that any child would be happy to tag along on.  This film shows the importance of friendship and how our differences are good things.  It also teaches kids some neat things about Mexico and some useful Spanish phrases.  This show has been an important source of quality entertainment and information for quite some time and certainly looks poised to continue that stance.  Bring home this great new addition to that tradition today!

Take a welcome Vacation with this great film today!

HIT Entertainment is one of the world’s leading independent children’s entertainment producers and has teamed up with 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment to release a whole set of child content and themed DVD boxed sets.
