I like being an early adopter.  It doesn’t matter of what, I just like being among the first.  If I’ve heard an indie song before it’s on a television commercial, that means you’re pretty awesome and counts for some serious indie cred.  I had a Twitter account several years but didn’t use it until recently, but was still an early adopter.  One of the best is when you catch a performance by a stand-up comedian and talk him up for years before his next show and then when it comes out, it’s awesome and so are you.  Want to know what that feels like?  Just pretend you’re me and pick up this comedy DVD available right now!

Starting this May 19th, now available on DVD from Comedy Central DVD and Paramount Studios Home Entertainment comes the next great performance from one of the funniest new comics out there and a true rising star.  Jo Koy – Don’t Make Him Angry is fantastically hilarious and will leave you gasping for air between peals of laughter.  Bring this true comic genius into your home today!

Jo Koy has been widely lauded, or at least lauded a couple of times, as one of the young comics who are game changers.  With his laid back style and incredible talent at impersonations, he brings a whole new and hilarious energy to the stage.  In this stand-up special, he riffs on some of the worst places he has ever been while on tour, which end up being mainly Alabama and France.  He talks about our national obsession with road rage and his mother’s deep attachment to the Nintendo Wii.  He talks about how great his wife is and how great his mother is and just how completely insane his son is.  You won’t believe just how hilarious Jo Koy is until you watch this DVD.

The special features included in this DVD are Jo Koy’s appearance on Comedy Central Presents, which is the first place I ever saw him, an exclusive performance by APL.DE.AP from The Black Eyed Peas, several different interviews with Jo Koy, some of his great dance moves and so much more.

Some of my favorite jokes from his first stand-up show I saw were the ones about his son and how young boys just yell all the time and don’t make sense.  True to form, those were the best jokes in this performance as well, only they were so much better.  The part where he talks about his son and how much he loves his ting ting made me laugh so hard that I had to pause the show just to catch my breath.  That’s when you know that you’re really hilarious.  This is a great performance and is well worth buying, but only if you actually love to laugh.  If you just pretend for your friends’ sake, go look somewhere else.  This is only for people who truly enjoy comedy.

Don’t be Angry, just bring this disc home today!
