I was expecting sparks, but not the sparks that actually happened in today’s show.
This weeks panel consisted of birthday girl Jan Barrett, Ms. Pickles, Art Harris, Cobra Staubs, and my good friend Denny Griffin.
There really was little that happened to move this case forward in the last 7 days, but there was a major move to move the case backwards.
Cobra found himself on the wrong side of the law. The whole story will come out eventually, for now, I think it is best that we gloss over it. He spent two or three hours behind bars, but he seems none the worse for it. The biggest issue is that the actions by Putnam County have essentially killed Cobra’s ability to work. With his license suspended, I have no idea how he is going to pay his bills.
Of course this matters not to the authorities in Putnam County, having Cobra around seriously effected the amount of time they could spend in the donut store rather than working on the Haleigh Cummings case. OK, maybe that was a little harsh, but the way I see it, removing Cobra from Putnam County was a great way to cool off the search for Haleigh Cummings.
Alas many in the media have dropped covering this case, but there are a few of us die hards.
It was an exciting show to say the least. We had an unexpected guest call in, and I will bet he needed an underwear change when we called him out! I was going to call him out based on some internet traffic I had followed, as everyone in the tech world knows, you can not hide. Cobra beat me to the punch on this one. Cobra may not know much about computers, but he is damn good at adding 2+2.
Art Harris offered the calming effect, Art is a veteran reporter, with two Emmy awards under his belt, this is a guy that knows how to handle situations.
I suspect that there may be some stories popping up about our surprise guest!
All in all, I would say that it was a great show, if you missed the live version, we do have a recording.
It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few days.

In the TV industry… it is referred to as dropping the F-bomb… and results in multi-thousand of dollar fines… but I don’t think the rules apply to the internet…

I don’t think Marty is a bondsman. He was at Snodgrass’ home when Cobra went there to take Snodgrass into custody. It’s possible that Crystal’s step-dad’s name is Marty. I am not certain about that.

Croslin said Haleigh watched “Madagascar” and “AirBud” with her brother, then snuggled beneath a blanket in a pink Hannah Montana top. She reported Haleigh was wearing that top when she disappeared.
However, Croslin said she found the shirt on Monday, when she was allowed back inside the doublewide mobile home for the first time since the disappearance. She was there to discuss the layout of the mobile home with investigators and was looking for the clothes Haleigh wore her last day at school.
She then saw the Hannah Montana shirt in a laundry pile by the back door. “When I put her blanket on she had that shirt on,” Croslin told the Times-Union on Wednesday.
She said she has no idea how the shirt wound up there.
Investigators changed a statewide Amber Alert to remove the shirt as a clothing description.
Croslin said the children’s great-grandmother, her brother and an air-conditioning repairman were the only ones to visit the mobile home that day.
After eating, Croslin said the children watched movies before Haleigh went to bed about 8:15 p.m.
Croslin also told the Times-Union that the day Haleigh disappeared, she told authorities a cousin who had been staying in Crescent City for about a month went back to Tennessee. She said the cousin had “messed with” her sexually when she was a child but not been deemed a sexual offender.
The cousin had visited the mobile home she shared with Cummings but was told not to come back when a gun in the house turned up missing around the same time, she said.
Croslin said she met Cummings about six months ago when she was baby-sitting for a woman who had a child with Cummings.
Croslin said she was concerned the baby boy was not being cared for properly.
“I told him you need to get your son before something bad happens to him,” she said. Croslin said the two started talking. She was 16 at the time.
Her father, Hank Croslin Sr., told the Times-Union that Cummings told him he was 19 and later that he was 21.

In fact, while a beared friend named Marty showed us around, Snodgrass went to bring his trailer around back. It was indeed the man who matched his mugshot.
“Are you wearing your ankle bracelet?” I asked. Stunned, he said yes. I looked down to see his jeans covering anything he may have been wearing. “Who are you?”
At that point, Regan said he couldn’t accept donations from anyone accused of a sex crime, and Snodgrass asked us to leave his property.
“Call the police, Marty!” he yelled. We walked past the white stretch limousine.
“Is that the limo you used to give rides to children?” I asked.
“Get off my property,” he said.
We couldn’t leave fast enough.

Well, things are heating up in Satsuma and imo, there is a lot amiss. I have to say this is one of the most hush-hush cases I have ever encountered. Something just does not sit well.
Local medias don’t seem to want to report on anything. LE isn’t talking.
The whole thing comes down to a child is missing and most there don’t seem to care.
so i quess white boy is under protection.

DCF needs to start questioning friends and locals to see what’s going on with the biomom.If the children are in danger or around drugs,they are allowing it.If they don’t want to be held accountable they need to speak up.Sounds like the biomom needs serious rehab.Her sister’s myspace pages and friends comments are talk about going to clubs,partying and drugs.Someone said on a forum that the lawyer caught them smoking pot in the haleighbug center.I hope she didnt have the baby there.This is way out of hand and something needs to be done for the children’s protection.IMO

ksue - the transcripts of the custody case state Crystal had already attended Parenting Classes, Ronald was ordered to take them…..other than that, it doesnt appear that anything else was ordered.

This whole situation is so sad. I just wished Cobra could have been more specific on who he thought had taken Haleigh. I get the impression that Cobra doesn’t think Ron’s side of the family is involved in any way, so does that mean he doesn’t feel Misty is in any way involved any longer? If this is the case then the only logical explanation why her storys may be so inconsistent then would be her mind was still pretty foggy from the 3-day drug party she had been on with NayNay and White Boy Greg. She may not have been able to remember things clearly. This case really stumps me. None of it makes much sense. In one of the blogs I read, and I’m not sure what site it was on, but someone wrote that a police officer had Haleigh and was raising her. At the time, I thought it was nonsense, but is it? Given all that we’ve heard so far, maybe there is some truth to what that the blogger wrote. The blogger was very blunt in his/her blog. I thought at the time the blogger was referring to Johnny Sheffield because I thought Cobra had mentioned on his last Radio Broadcase that Johnny was a retired Putinum County Police Officer and Cobra kept saying he was a stand up guy. Surely Cobra wouldn’t be referring to him as taking Haleigh…maybe just maybe the blogger was referring to another family member on Crystal’s side of the family who is in law enforcement. Wish there was a way we could search that one. I just hope and pray that Haleigh is brought home safe and sound, and sooner the better. I’ve been so judgemental in my opinions towards Ron for the things I’ve heard and read, but I honestly don’t think he had anything to do with what happened to Haleigh.
I have not seen the petition that Cathy said she put together. I don’t know what the petition says except it’s something about Cobra. Anyone know?
I have read/heard at some point that Cobra said Johnny Sheffield was an upstanding guy. I think at one point Sheffield even searched with Cobra.

Wow!!! I have been in and out of the hospital the last few weeks and all these crazy developments. I for one think the only reason Mr. Cobra was arrested is because he was getting very very close to finding out the whole truth of this crazy Jerry Springer show in Putnam County and someone is trying to stop Him. I hope and pray he keeps going cause I think this case is soon to be broken wide open and hopefully the missing little angel in all this will be found safe and brought home and not to Ron or her mother either.! And it makes me sick to my stomach that those Anthony people are trying to weasel there way into this story. Go back to where you belong and start telling the truth about what you know about Caylee Anthony’s! This story with Haleigh seems to get more and more twisted and I do not understand Putnam County LE. I would think they would welcome Cobra’s input and information when it comes to finding a missing child. I think there is a lot of players with some splaining to do the truth always comes out when the timing is right.

Morin Kim, I wondered if the seizures were from withdrawal as well. I do think that they would of stopped by now if they were. Drug use can and will cause them. I’m sure Melissa’s lawyers are going to go for the insanity defense and I think she has a chance for it. I mean how many of us have said we cannot comprehend what she’s done? When a jury feels that way sometimes they vote insanity. Then it’s a padded room for her. I wouldn’t mind in a way except I believe that there is always a chance some shylock crazy egotistical shrink will declare her “Cured” and she’ll get out. It happens.
On the other hand I was sure that if anyone deserved the insanity defense it was Jeffrey Dahmer. But they put him in general pop and of course he was murdered ASAP. So I don’t really know what will happen to Melissa.

Well you know how it is with serial killers for example. By the time LE knows about him/her they’ve spent YEARS building up to it by killing animals etc (all info kept private in juvenile files - that should not be allowed for such serious crimes) and they’ve already killed 6 or 100 other people.
I remember reading that LE found child pornography in some of the homes in that neighborhood. I have NOT heard about any arrests. Why not? Having it is illegal.
But maybe that neighborhood’s relationship with LE is the same as in Putnam County where so MANY adult males shack up with underage girls that no one pays any attention anymore and being a druggie is so common no one pays attention, and well, they’ve got to buy it from someone so LE doesn’t pay attention to the dealers either. It’s a way of life and apparently condoned by LE.
Yesterday was quite a shocking day! I can’t believe what is going on in that town.

Wouldn’t you think the news - which always seems to need an excuse ( a new lead or something) to bother to mention a missing child could take advantage of THIS day to put the child’s photo on their home page and a little summary of the story so people will be reminded and keep looking?

kim - I think I’d like to be able to suggest a Florida missing children’s org in case the local donors to KFN were trying to support something local however I am not sure there is a legitimate and active missing child org in Florida. I’m still looking.
If I don’t find one then I can suggest EquuSearch since that group has been to Florida actually LOOKING for missing children at no cost to the state and also suggest a big national one - maybe the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. I want to find one that will appeal to the FL donors AND be legit and active.

So, I been looking at the quotes from the Sheffield side from the beginning… and they did start throwing Ron under the bus almost immediately… with little interest apparently in searching for Haleigh elsewhere..

VAN SUSTEREN: What is your sort of thought on this, if you are investigating it?
SHEFFIELD: Somebody in that house knows what happened.
VAN SUSTEREN: Have you spoken to Ronald or his girlfriend since your granddaughter disappeared?
SHEFFIELD: No.
VAN SUSTEREN: Have you spoken to them either directly?
SHEFFIELD: I have spoke to Ronald. I have not spoke to Misty.
VAN SUSTEREN: And when you spoke to Ronald, what did you ask him.
SHEFFIELD: I did not ask him nothing. He just told me he was sorry and that if he had been home from work, it would not have never happened.
VAN SUSTEREN: He’s hurting. He is a good father, isn’t he?
SHEFFIELD: Yes. He loves Haleigh. I know Haleigh is his heart, and I do not think he hurt her.

Although here, Crystal seems to feel he is not involved in any attempt to harm Haleigh.
But I wonder why Ron thought it would not have happened if he had been home since no one really knows what happened?
But it is also strange that Crystal spoke with him, but never asked any questions… cause I would still be asking…
thats just what i said to kp in a statement right here on bnn. never not once has her pleas been about haliegh, its all about bashing and trashing ron. i said we all know kind of parent ron is, why not mention haliegh and her illnesses who to contact phone numbers,and why not at least give a description of her.

Feb 24 - Crystal Sheffield, the children’s mother, said Haleigh’s father Ronald Cummings, Jr. and her son recounted the same story to her.
“When I see him [Haleigh’s brother], all he said is, ‘I want to find my sissy,’ and he said something about somebody in black took her,” Sheffield said, according to Central Florida News 13.
“He said they were all dressed in black, but I didn’t question him. I’m not going to question him.”
It was not immediately clear when or where Sheffield made this statement.
Authorities said they are ending their daily briefings on the missing girl.
“All information that can be presently disclosed has been reported,” Capt. Dick Schauland said in a statement issued to reporters.
Schauland added that the investigation is still “proceeding at full force.”
That news was met with a mixed reaction from Haleigh’s grandmothers.
“It’s hard, because we don’t want anybody to forget Haleigh’s out there,” Teresa Neves, Haleigh’s paternal grandmother, told the Palatka Daily News. “I’m sick as a dog and I come up here to watch the press conference and find out they’re not having one. That to me is very hurtful that they don’t let us know in advance.”
Haleigh’s maternal grandmother, however, was unfazed by the news.
“Maybe the sheriff’s department has something and they’re not releasing it,” said Marie Griffis. “It doesn’t discourage me one way or the other, because my faith and my God tells me he’s bringing her back.”
Griffis said she doesn’t believe reports that her granddaughter is dead.
“Until the police bring me a body and lay it in front of me, I will not believe that she is gone,” Griffis told the newspaper. “God tells me that she is alive and well, and that’s what I am going to stand on.”

Feb 20 - Haleigh`s family held a news conference today and answered the many questions about this mysterious cousin, Joe, who Misty says she doesn`t trust.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I bet you don`t trust him?
CRYSTAL CUMMINGS, HALEIGH`S AUNT: We don`t either.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Why don`t you trust him?
NEVES: Well, from the newspaper clips that we have and what we`ve heard, he might not be a very good person for Haleigh to be with. We`re just hoping that if he does know something that he tells someone so we can bring her home safely.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Do you feel comfortable with this man who you consider potentially a pedophile in a home with Haleigh? He was in the home at one point.
TERESA NEVES, HALEY`S GRANDMOTHER: You know, you trust your friends and your family to bring in people that you can trust. He did not carry a sign that says “I`m a sexual offender and I`m going to steal your child.” He carried nothing like that.
As far as the cousin, I mean, Ronald wants Haleigh home and he doesn`t care who has her, how they got her. He wants her home.
ksue - I read several of your comments from around 10:30 pm but you post a LOT so I don’t know if I saw the right ones.LOL!
My thoughts on LE are that Haleigh’s disappearance plus what Cobra was uncovering did not reflect well on local LE. At best it is embarrassing and at worst it suggests they’re in collusion with criminals.
Maybe Putnam County LE’s point of view is - well this is the way of life around here. This is the way it’s always been.
Or maybe if LE locked up everyone who could be arrested half or more of the population would be in jail and the jail’s not big enough.
I know if I was a member of local LE I’d be embarrassed (at least) that my community is being revealed as full of druggies, their pushers, underage girls living with adult men, prostitutes and at least one cathouse. Plus we recently heard Misty is driving without a license - which LE knows full well.
So I sure hope that kidnapping a child is on the very short list of crimes NOT to commit in Putnam County.
I think the statements made in the beginning are probably more telling than those made recently… the lies were new way back then, but now they roll off the tongue with practice…

maybe they think if they keep her doped up noone will listen to her. that aint saying im beginning to believe in her, and if kp is helping her like kp says she is, she (kp) would do more for her drug problem. i read that someone was caught smoking pot in the halieghbug center. could be rumor, but if this true was kp present? after all she says she is there more often than not.
If Putnam is like Hazard County… then Boss Hogg is making bucks from the illegal activities (like the ones they said are happening in the woods… like pot growing and moonshining), which would give the local govt a reason to not look to hard into an event which will shine a spotlight on these activities. Where are the Duke boys when you need ‘em?

i think alot of what crystal said about the abuse was cohersed by kp. maybe there was abuse im not doubting it, but to make a comment that ron is a good parent then do a complete 360 when kp comes into the picture is beyond any thing i can wrap my head around.
Spacely @ 10:12 am. Exactly! I think it’s possible that KP influenced Crystal into claiming Ron abused the children. What better way to wrest custody from him? And the only reason I think Crystal even wants custody is so she can stop having to pay child support.
I was putting the best light on LE that I could but I am also open to the idea that LE is corrupt. After all, they did tell Tim Miller where he could and could NOT search, right? Can’t have good old Tim stumbling on the pot farm, right? Or on a meth lab?
Tim always works WITH LE. He shows respect for them so I’m sure he had his doubts about why they told him that but he’d respect their wishes. So I do not think this reflects poorly on him at all.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Last week, Cummings also accused Crystal of making up a false lead in the case, namely that their 4-year-old, Ronald Jr., saw a black man in black take little Haleigh. What on earth would a distraught mother have to gain by leading the investigation astray?
Crystal`s response to all of this is moments away. She`s going to set the record straight for us tonight.
Meantime, Misty Croslin Cummings, Ron`s new bride and the last person to see Haleigh before she went missing, has spent more than 30 hours talking to investigators, but cops still have no clear timeline. How is that possible? Why is Misty hiding key information? We will examine the very day little Haleigh went missing.
Joining me now, my expert panel: Rebecca Rose Woodland, criminal defense attorney; Brian Russell, forensic psychologist and attorney; and Don Clark, former FBI special agent charge.
But first my very special guest, Haleigh`s mom, Crystal Sheffield, joins us by phone, as does her attorney, Kim McCazio (ph).
Crystal, I would like to start with Haleigh Bug, the foundation you just started to find your precious child. You have set up headquarters in town and painted it purple which was Haleigh`s favorite color. I understand you`ve also hired a private investigator.
Crystal, tell us all about this new strategy you have for finding your daughter.
CRYSTAL SHEFFIELD, MOTHER OF HALEIGH CUMMINGS: It`s just something where everybody can come. I mean, anybody that wants to do any donations, I mean, call. I mean, it`s just a place for me to be where I don`t have to be out in a tent or, you know, because I`ve got my 11-month-old baby. I mean, it`s just a safer place, and it`s just something I wanted to do for Haleigh.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: And why did you hire a private eye?
SHEFFIELD: I didn`t. I didn`t hire him.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: OK. All right. I — that was a report and we want to set the record straight.
Crystal, I also want to give you an opportunity to set the record straight about something else. On “The Today Show,” Ron claims you made up the story that you made Ron Jr. saw Haleigh`s abductor. Let`s listen to what he said.

MEREDITH VIEIRA, CO-HOST, NBC`S “THE TODAY SHOW”: Your 4-year-old son, and the fact that he said that somebody, a man dressed in black, had taken Haleigh out of the trailer that night she disappeared. Did she tell that to either one of you? Misty, you were there at the time. Did he say anything to you at the time?
MISTY CROSLIN, WIFE OF RON CUMMINGS: No.
VIEIRA: Nothing?
CUMMINGS: Me either. I think this is some of the garbage that Geraldo and Crystal, the mother, has made up. But I`m just going to leave that at that.
VIEIRA: So you don`t even believe that Ronald Jr. said this at all?
CUMMINGS: I don`t know. I wasn`t at home; I was at work.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Crystal, that`s kind of harsh on Ron`s part. What is your response to this claim that you made this up?
SHEFFIELD: Well, I know for a fact my son told me that. I`m not lying. I did not ask him no questions.
The following weekend after Haleigh went missing I asked him no questions. As soon as I picked him up he said, “Mommy, I want to find my sissy. A man in black took her,” and that is what he told me.
I swear I`m not lying. You can say I`m making it up if you want to. That`s fine. I — I have no reason to lie. I want my daughter back, and that`s what my son told me. If it`s true or not, so be it. I mean, he told me that, and that`s my baby, so…
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, Crystal, just to understand, first we heard that he said a man in black took little Haleigh. Then apparently, we heard a couple of days later that he said a black man in black. Did his story change or did — was it just an error in reporting?
SHEFFIELD: Well, at first he did say it was a man dressed in black. And then I asked him the following — the two weeks later when I got him again I asked him about it. But I didn`t want to question him about it, because I know it`s hard on him enough. And I asked him about it and I was, like, “What about the black — the person dressed in black.” And he said it was a black man dressed in black, and he had squeaky shoes. And the I`m not lying. I have no reason to lie.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: That`s why we have you on tonight, first of all because we want to do everything we can to find your precious child and put her face out there so that somebody, anyone out there who has anyone any kind of clue, please, we`re begging you, come forward.
Now let`s talk about Misty Croslin, Ron`s new wife. Was the last person, of course, to see little Haleigh the night she went missing, but her story has been full of holes. She was asked on “The Today Show” Friday about all the inconsistencies. Let`s listen to what she said.

VIEIRA: Why were there — help me out, Misty, where were there inconsistencies? Why did you say one thing one time and one time the other? One thing the other?
CROSLIN: Um — I don`t know.
VIEIRA: But you know you did do that?

CROSLIN: No.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: That`s pretty amazing — Kim McCazio (ph), you`re Crystal Sheffield`s attorney — that she doesn`t know why she`s telling inconsistent stories, for example, when did she first call 911? We initially heard something about, hey, Ron was at work and she called 911 and he rushed in at the tail end of the conversation, because we hear him on that call. But now Ron is saying he got home, saw Misty standing there. The child was missing, and he told her to call 911. What do you make of it?
KIM MCCAZIO (PH), ATTORNEY FOR CRYSTAL SHEFFIELD: Well, I think that all of the inconsistent statements are making it very difficult for the police investigation to go forward, and I wish we could clear up these statements. I don`t know why they are being made.
I don`t know if Misty is just a naive child who`s trying to make up stories that may make her look better or her husband, or if she has something to hide. And I guess the investigation will — will figure that out.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: All right. Quick question, Crystal. What about this potential custody battle between you and Ron over your little boy, Ronald Jr.?
SHEFFIELD: I — I don`t feel safe with him. I mean, my daughter is missing. He has a 17-year-old that he is married to now. She`s a child. Obviously, she`s — I mean, she`s been out doing drugs. He`s caught her with drug dealers, and I don`t feel safe with him there.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: I want to say, first of all, that I have no independent confirmation of that, and we don`t have any information or confirmation of that at all. A lot of stories circulating. A lot of point, counterpoint, charge, countercharge.
But one thing I know for sure is that Crystal Sheffield is suffering tonight.
And Crystal, I want to thank you so much for being on. And I wish you the very best of luck with your new foundation and the Haleigh Bug house. And, of course, that`s little Haleigh`s nickname. And we just pray that she`s brought home alive and safe. Thank you, Crystal.

do you know the population of satsuma? they (le) made a statement when this first broke that there is nothing that goes on in satsuma they (le) dont know about. so you tell me, do you think haliegh being kidnapped is one of those things they (le) dont know about. i mean come on what le agency is going to be as relaxed as they are when a 5 yr old is missing? something aint right in the mix. damn we are talking about a child that has medical problems and they act like its no big deal.
m2c - what do you think about Mark NeJame being hooked up with Tim Miller? Do you think that played any part in the Haleigh case?
I think Tim is a great guy from everything I have ever seen. I think NeJame is questionable at best. Their connection does not make sense to me.
Here is another weird thing to think about - Crystal says she thinks Ron is a good dad and would not harm the kids, specifically Haleigh… yet she had previously charged him with abuse - before the disappearance and KP arriving on the scene.
So why even say he would not harm the kids? After you took pics of your daughter’s face all beat to hell?
I think Crystal has spent her life as a pawn, first of her mother, then Ron, then back to her mother, and now her mother and KP… and maybe her step-bro…

Feb 11 - VAN SUSTEREN: Joining us live from Florida, Haleigh’s mother, Crystal Sheffield, and the toddler’s grandmother, Marie Griffis. Crystal, I know you that you’re terrible distressed and worried this evening. Do you — is there any likelihood in your mind that this child simply just got up and walked off?
CRYSTAL SHEFFIELD, MOTHER: No, there is not. She would not do that.
VAN SUSTEREN: Crystal, when was the last time you saw your daughter?
SHEFFIELD: Two weeks ago.
VAN SUSTEREN: Have you spoken to her in the last two weeks?
SHEFFIELD: No, I have not.
VAN SUSTEREN: When you saw her, did she indicate or say to you anything to suggest there were problems in the home? I know that she’s living with her father, or staying with her father and her father’s girlfriend. Did she say there were any problems in the home?
SHEFFIELD: No.
VAN SUSTEREN: Marie, when was the last time that you saw your grandchild?
MARIE GRIFFIS, GRANDMOTHER: It was two weeks ago when they got their visitation to come stay with us (INAUDIBLE) We pick them up Friday night 6:00 o’clock and we return them Sunday at 6:00 o’clock.
VAN SUSTEREN: Marie, do you live in the area or do you live out of state?
GRIFFIS: We live in Florida, but it’s Baker County, Glenn St. Mary (ph), Florida. We live about an hour and 45 minutes from here.
VAN SUSTEREN: Marie, do you know of any problems in that home?
GRIFFIS: In the past, Haleigh and Junior have told us that, you know, they’ve been hit and stuff like that, but up to this point, everything was fine.
VAN SUSTEREN: Crystal, have you spoken to the father of your child or his girlfriend in the last 24 hours?
SHEFFIELD: I spoke to him yesterday. I have not spoken to his girlfriend.
VAN SUSTEREN: What did he say to you?
SHEFFIELD: He just said that — he told me he was sorry and that if he would have been home from work that it would have never happened.
VAN SUSTEREN: Marie, what do you think has happened? I know that there are a lot of theories, a lot of sex offenders in the area. What are you sort of — you know, where is your suspicion tonight, Marie?
GRIFFIS: My suspicions is why is it two children was in the bed with this 17-year-old girl, and somebody comes into the home and picks a child up that’s laying right next to you and you don’t know where she went. You get up and go to the bathroom and come back and she’s not there. Well, was she there when she got up and went to the bathroom? Why don’t we have that information? What happened? It don’t take but 15, 20 seconds to go to the bathroom, and it’s right there in the bedroom, also. So I wonder what role Misty plays in this.
VAN SUSTEREN: Have you ever met her, Marie?
GRIFFIS: I have never officially been introduced to her. I saw her in Ronald’s car one weekend when we took Haleigh and Junior back to their dad on a Sunday, and she was sitting in the car. And I don’t know who she is, never spoke to her. All I know is Haleigh and Junior told me that they liked her, that she was nice to them.
GRIFFIS: Crystal, do you know the girlfriend at all? I mean, have you ever, like, had any conversations with her in any depth? Do you know what kind of person she is, anything about her?
SHEFFIELD: No, I don’t. I’ve talked to her. She seemed like a really nice person, but I’ve never sat down and had a conversation with her. And the kids told me that…
VAN SUSTEREN: Marie, I don’t mean to…
SHEFFIELD: … They loved her.
VAN SUSTEREN: How long, Crystal, has she been in the children’s lives?
SHEFFIELD: Probably four to six months? I’m not really sure.
VAN SUSTEREN: Marie, I don’t want to — you know, because I’m asking questions about the girlfriend (INAUDIBLE) you know, think that she’s the only person I’m curious about. I mean, obviously, everybody — we’re curious about everybody tonight. Do you know anything, Marie, about any neighbors at all, people who live nearby that have shown any particular interest to this child at all, Marie, do you know?
GRIFFIS: The only thing we know about any neighbors is there were some kids that lived next door that Haleigh and Junior played with, and they were seen out playing in the yard around 5:00 o’clock yesterday — or Monday evening. I guess it was Monday evening. I can’t even remember anymore. The days are just running together now.
VAN SUSTEREN: Crystal, the father of your child was at work when, apparently, Haleigh disappeared. What kind of work does he do, Crystal?
SHEFFIELD: I’m not sure. All I know is he runs a crane.
VAN SUSTEREN: Do you know, Marie, why he was out until 3:00 o’clock in the morning? I mean, what kind of work would have him out that late, or that early, depending on how you characterize it?
GRIFFIS: He — we was ere told he worked from 3:00 to 3:00, so I supposed it’s a 12-hour shift. And he’s a crane operator working for a place called PDM Bridge (ph).
VAN SUSTEREN: Do either of you know if the girlfriend has a job or does any kind of work at all?
SHEFFIELD: No.
GRIFFIS: No.
VAN SUSTEREN: Crystal, Marie, thank you both very much. And you know, I certainly hope we can find this child. And there’s so much publicity being cast on it that maybe someone knows something and will call in maybe we’ll have good news on this soon. Thank you both.

Note that Griffis says Ron did hurt the kids - but not to the point of a problem - but the truth is they had already charged him with abuse.
Spacely - I think ALL criminal defense attorneys are questionable at best but that comes along with the job I guess. I think shortly after Nejame took on the ants as clients he had them pegged and wanted to get as far away from their stench as he could. One good way - in addition to dropping them as clients - was to help Tim. Who needed it at the time! I don’t see anything else to read into that. I fully believe in Tim’s integrity.
IF Tim and Nejame discussed Putnam County, I’m sure Nejame would advise him to do as LE wished for his own sake -and I’d have told Tim the same thing. If he hadn’t then Tim might have been arrested, who knows?
And yes I think Crystal is a druggie and a pawn - the perfect CEO for a brand new non-profit along the lines of KFN and CMAF! LOL except it’s not really funny.
It is also sad that Crystal went 2 weeks without even speaking to her daughter and would have gone longer even if Haleigh had not disappeared as her visitation begins on Friday and Haleigh went missing on Monday morning, if she was going to get the kids that Friday…

I personally think that when and if they find haleigh alive that neither one of them should have her or ron jr…these people are not parents, I can’t figure out why crystal won’t take kp up on her offer of rehab…or was that just rumour?
Nejame - I thought exactly as you did m2c, until Simon started bringing his name up as one of the people connected to the KC money trail… although his exact dealings if he is involved are not established… but the fact his name came up there forces me to question his motivations and whether or not he is pulling Tim into something that Tim should stay clear of… or if Tim is a willing participant… but I believe Tim to be telling the truth everytime I see him speak… and I have seen the emotion that sometimes overwhelms him about these missing kids… so I have to step back and say Tim is a great guy, if something is fishy, it has to be with NeJame only… and why exactly did NeJame NEED to connect to the Ant case at all? One thing I’ve wondered about are the connections between all these scammy non-profits.
KFN slithered into the ant case right at the start getting G’s buy-in to their crap. Then G talks about starting their own org very early on. But KFN doesn’t seem to regard it as a competitor. KFN and CMAF and all the lowlifes involved are still very close. Same with Never Lose Hope FOundation and KFN and CMAF in that order. Then comes the National Vigil for Hope organization (Barf’s). Seems like the same thing that NLHF stated as their mission - but Barf added candles to the idea! (LOL!) But they are all as thick as thieves. And now the Haleighbug foundation or whatever? Is this one of those pyramid scams or whatever they’re called? Or a network to wash money? Or they promise each other a cut of whatever they take in? I don’t get it.

I find it odd that with all of the abuse issues thrown around that Jr. has not been placed in anothers care until it’s sorted out.
It would be interesting to see the total dollars that have rolled through all those orgs over the past year and compare that to previous years… then to see exactly how much of that money rolled into the hands of Dennis Milstead…
Spacely- I think a little egotistical bantam rooster like Nejame would have been attracted to the ant case like a moth to a flame because of the publicity. But he found himself on the wrong side of the story - and maybe potentially in trouble or at least embarrassed by those two a-hats. So he dumped them. But to stay attached to the biggest story he picks up Tim - the nicest guy wiht the most legit org and integrity involved in that whole mess.

There were already abuse allegations before Haleigh ever disappeared. The DCF said there are no grounds for the charges and have always left the kids with Ron.
So, there is really no reason for them to pull them now as the current abuse charges are really old abuse charges brought up for a rehash.

May 24 - GLEN SAINT MARY, FL — Monday is National Missing Children’s Day.
The case that captured so many people’s attention on the First Coast this year is that of 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings.
In Baker County, Haleigh’s mother and her family have almost regained a sense of normalcy.
However, there is a big, gaping hole.
Haleigh has been missing for almost four months.
“I try to keep myself occupied so I don’t stay stressed out,” Crystal Sheffield, Haleigh’s mother, told First Coast News Sunday.
Sheffield continues to take care of her youngest child. Haleigh’s grandmother, Marie Griffis, is back on her school bus route and tends to their farm in Glen St. Mary.
It’s a hundred miles away from where Haleigh disappeared from her father’s Putnam County home in February.
Griffis said, “There’s not a waking moment that we’re not wondering where is Haleigh and who has her. It’s awful. It’s just awful.”
On the edge of the Griffis property is a large sign with Haleigh’s picture on it, asking if you’ve seen her.
When it comes to the investigation, there’s not much new to report.
Griffis said she and her daughter keep in touch with investigators at the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
Griffis said, the investigators have “this one path that they’re on. But everything that comes into them just goes nowhere– but right back to the same road they’re going down. Until they get all the information they need, we’re at a standstill.”
The case of the missing girl has periodically shifted attention onto so many different angles and extra players in the past few months.
Haleigh’s mother said, “I think it’s nonsense because [the attention] should not be taken off of Haleigh, and it has been. Everybody is worried about what everybody else is doing. They need to be worried about Haleigh.”
Meanwhile, life goes on but the pain of living life without answers about Haleigh continues.
“It’s awful knowing we have to go on in our daily lives without her,” Griffis said.
Haleigh’s mother teared up and said, “There’s no way to describe it.”

I can understand Crystals animosity to Ron and Misty completely, if someone was looking after your babies and they were taken or hurt wouldn’t you be angry at them?
Direct your anger towards Misty (the last person to see Haleigh) or even better channel it into something positive, send some emails, hassle the MSM into reporting on Haleigh or even go out to Putnam and look for her yourselves.

“That he had contacted the witness who observed Misty slap Junior’s face at the Clinic, and that the Witness stated she was “Horrified” at the way Misty treated Junior both inside and outside the clinic, and that DCF was investigating the incidence, and others that have been reported around the community.”
Marelee, Art did say there was a witness that stated she was horrified but as I recall he also said there was another witness that stated it was absolutely nothing and to be honest I don’t remember him saying anything about DCF investigating it. Maybe someone would like to listen again to the show to find out.

Well,at least we’re making a statement and reaching people.We have a right to stand up for the children.We don’t know,if parents are allowed to get away with this,what was the purpose in the first place?And will others see this as a way to get rich quick if they’re in a financial bind or have lost custody?Will others see this as a way to get money by starting foundations,that is many people’s spectulation,but understandable.IMO We don’t know if this is the case,but it is very odd how quickly this went out of a missing child mode.JMO
I don’t understand the need to start a foundation for everything… after a couple years it’ll fizzle out anyway… Stop dumb people from breeding and then doing things to their kids and we wouldn’t need a foundation for every tragic event… I don’t want to sound like a jerk but i don’t get it…

I think if anything they should start a support group for parents who’s children kill… don’t know that there are alot of those and it’s obviously something that we need… Get out of lying and covering up and pony up to what actually happened, do the right thing… It’s not to late to make it right…

Just a friendly piece of advice you all might want to stop copying and pasting whole articles on here that were clearly written somewhere else there is such a thing as copyright violation and I would think Ms. Pickles that you would have warned people by now. How would you like an article or story that you put your thoughts and effort into to be lifted by other sites and posted all over without even mentioning the writer the proper way without breaking any copyright laws is to post 1 paragraph at the most and then link back to the site it came from. I bet Web Sleuths would just love to see 54 pages of something they worked hard on just stolen from them and that’s what it is whether you meant to or not it is stealing someone elses work if you copied someones paper in school that was cheating same concept here PLEASE respect someone’ hard work and stop doing that before someone sues you.
