We will be running our regular radio show on Sunday, 05/24 at 3PM Central. Once again we will be focusing on the Haleigh Cummings story. With it being a long weekend TJ Hart and Art Harris cannot be with us, but the rest of the gang will be with us, Jan Barrett, Ms Pickles, and Denny Griffin. Also joining us will be investigator and bailbondsman William “Cobra” Staubs.
The big excitement this week was what happened to William “Cobra” Staubs, they threw him in jail!
Needless to say Cobra is a little hot under the collar over this. Cobra has very much become part of our family here at BNN, and I just can not wait to hear his side of the story.
Based on some conversations I had with him, and some other folks today, I would recommend that you put on your ‘anti foul-mouth ear plugs’, as this show is likely going to be epithet laden!
One thing is clear to me, all is not well in Putnam County and Cobra has stirred up a hornets nest. This case has done little for the public image of this area. Drugs and violence seem to be prevalent. Even here in small town Mississippi, population under 20,000 we have a ‘Hood’, but it does not seem anything like what is going on in Putnam County.
Let us hope that everyone will calm down and get back to the mission of finding Haleigh Cummings.

Seems like the people who put their heart and souls into helping others get the short end of the stick. I am tired of seeing the criminals seeming to have more rights than the honest folks and the victims. Cobra is just trying to help a little innocent victim who can’t help herself. If Snodgrass really cared so much about helping Haleigh by donating then why did he press charges on Cobra? Doesn’t make me think that Snodgrass is innocent of his charges.

I don’t think Cobra was ever in cahoots with Kim P. I do find it credible that Kim P is trying to ditch Cobra. Get him kicked out of town. Other people may have the same motive. No one in Satsuma seems to want anyone like Cobra conducting an active investigation. Maybe they’d prefer that it die down to nothing but a “poor mother” begging for money for her new non-profit. I’m sure that would suit Kim P to a Tee.
I have been reading blogs on Haleigh for some time now, and I can’t hold back any longer…. I am sure my story is not original, but here goes…my husband and I struggled to have a child going through multiple treatments and two miscarriages. God has chosen to bless us with a child via a miracle while we were not trying. I am now 5 mos pregnant and both of us are healthy. I say that to say this- it infuriates me that these lowlifes do these unspeakable things to their children. There are so many people out here that would give anything to be blessed with a child, I cannot fathom why on earth any parent could not seek better for their child. I pray for all involved, but most for the children away from their warm, safe beds & for those in terrible family life situations. May God bless and keep them! May their extended families see these situations for what they are and get help for these angels before it is too late !!! Haleigh, you like many of these other children have truly touched my soul. I feel like you are my own and please know you are cherished and loved by many.
Oh, yes, Ms. P, the ants and Milstead have been lurking all right. They only come out of their dens when the media lights and cameras are there. I think society needs to make it more “okay” for moms who do not want their children to give them up. Some might do that if it was easier for them. Then the children could find a good home.
But there are some people with the attitude that the kid is their possession and even if they don’t want the child they’ll be darned if anyone else can “have” them.
And then there are evil criminals who abuse and kill them because they want to.
We can’t help the third category but we might be able to do something to help with the first two.
if satsuma is such a small town, what is going to happen to the foundation when shes found? noone cares about satsuma. one newspaper even said so. its to small of a town, noone cares. so i ask agian, what happens to this fake foundation? i believe its a get rich quick scheme.
m2c, Thanks I could not agree more with you. I thought some states even had Noah/Moses laws, that you could leave a child at hospitals, police st., etc. no questions asked? Is this true? I guess whether it is or not the parents that do not take advantage of alternatives are just selfish like you said.

Pickles, we certainly seemed to get off to a bad start last night by me making a comment that was totally innocent on my part. I had no idea it was a touchy subject with you. On my part I thought it was a one-time thing that people had a chuckle about.
Some of the other posters mentioned a “game-plan”, I can assure you I have no such game plan in mind. I only wish for one thing and that is the return of Haleigh safely.
There’s a lot going on especially on the Internet. The innocent get taken advantage of, or better said, totally sucked into spreading propaganda for those that are willing to take advantage of them by making them think they are “special” and have a direct link to the “inside”.
Cobra’s intentions seem quite righteous, at least to me, I have had the opportunity to be in his presence and I have heard what he has to say. If anything Cobra is a “throw-back” to the days when PI’s didn’t care to be politically correct, or worried about what type of language to use. They went after hard-core offenders in a hardcore manner, exactly how Cobra operates. In today’s world, that sometimes makes it hard for you, but it is what it is. What you see is what you get from Cobra.
The whisperer’s even tried to make Cobra suspicious of myself and my intentions. All I did was offer a limited helping hand to a man that needs all the help he can get as limited as it may be. All I did was ask a question, I have nothing else to offer except moral support I suppose. Although I was very offended when my integrity was questioned, I still support Cobra and his efforts and wish him the best.

I have really nothing to add to the show. I just sit here in my writer’s garret wondering how LE would actively pursue charges against Cobra when they overlook a law that is being broken that they are very well aware of.
I’ve known quite a few officers in my day, from Federal to local and not one of them would have ever overlooked a man that was once an officer and disgraced the badge by molesting a child and doing time for it and breaks the law by actively pursuing a profession that he is banned from. Shame on the LE of Putnam County for letting that continue, evidently somewhere along the line they have forgotten the real meaning of the badge they wear.

A lot has to do with background also. This primarly is a pro-Cobra blog. When someone comes in and is a known KP tool and attempts to set people straight with their “knowledge” which was manufactured for them, it gets a little hard to take.

Hi, Cooter! Thank you for explaining and telling us more about where you’re coming from so to speak. Personally I found your first few posts - and few since then - cryptic at best. I was unable to either understand what you meant or understand how you intended it - or both.
This is one of the problems with communicating solely by writing and not being able to hear tone of voice or facial expressions. The most innocent, innocuous, comment can come off as an insult that the writer never intended.
It takes a while for people to “get to know each other” especially on a blog. Hopefully we will have the time to get to know you and will be better able to figure out even the shortest or the most questionable comments. In the meantime I’m glad that we can just be honest and ask you. Please don’t be offended by it.

i just looked up turner syndrome in a medical dictionary. if someone could help me under this. a genetic defect in women in which there is only one x chromesome instead of two. affected women are infertile: they have female gentilia but no ovariesand therefore no menstrual period. characteristictly they are short and have variable developmenttal defects,which may include webbing of the neck. i thought she had breathing problems? is there another defination of turner syndrome?

Southern part of Florida yes…opposite side of state. With Adji, it is difficult because of the language barrier within the community. It is mostly spanish and Creole. I think the main factor is sensationalism. Whatever sells the most is what the media focuses on. Gory details, sordid lifestyles, that’s what gets a case on the frontline. Doesn’t make it right, but it is how it is.
JonBenet case was botched from the beginning. Other than the investigators, John Ramsey picked JonBenet up and carried her upstairs. Last I heard, they were reopening the case and that was quite a few months ago. Not sure they will ever find out who killed her.

Ron and Misty both know it’s safe to say. Ron’s demeanor is cementing that. Why wouldn’t Ron make Misty do an reenactment? Why would he marry her? Why would he go into hiding like he has? As a dad I’d be on it 24 hours a day.
In fact, as a Dad I’d like to know why Snodgrass is still breathing. He committed his act in 2007 it’s 2009 and he’s still walking around even though he wears a ankle bracelet.

i am leaning towards number 4 scenario…there were cadaver dogs that hit on that dumpster, then down to the river…if someone in the family abducted her, the reasoning is for her protection? then why leave the boy? why a tatoo of haileigh, but none of jr? i am just asking questions here, putting some thoughts out that are more grim than the possibility that she is still alive some where, but i cannot get the cadaver dogs out of my mind…i heard that night some neighbor heard a high speed boat speeding away in the river, don’t know if that is a rumor or not, but could they have dumped her body in the bin, then moved her later after they thought about it?

Well if Ron was that stupid to marry Misty thinking it would protect him with the law he was wrong. In Florida, the law doesn’t protect you when it comes to a child. It also doesn’t protect him from what happened before they were married. I think it’s a good thing Ron married Misty, maybe it will stop them from meeting someone else and ruining their lives. Let’s face it, Misty is a trainwreck. She posted she couldn’t be broken on her myspace page. She’s 17 and thinks she’s been throught it all. I don’t think she is streetwise… she may have done some streetwalking if her acquaintances have any influence on her, but this is the girl who asked what ‘numerical’ meant and then gave multiple accounts of the timeline. I would think a streetwise person would tell a straighter story. Looks to me like Ron calls all the shots, although she does seem manipulative and spiteful as shown by her fling with White Boy Page.

The cell phone pings show he was at the convenience store about 5 min from home about 2:30am and the called just after 3:30am. That is a lot of unaccounted time.

It is a family van, but Misty was using it most of that week and it was parked in front of the trailer.
A while after the cops got there, she said she was sure it was moved from where she parked it… indicating someone drove it and replaced it sometime after she went to bed and before she woke up to ‘use the bathroom’ or to ‘grab a smoke’ or to wash the sheets and blankets in the middle of the night or whatever reason she got up. So, that means it was moved either after 10 pm or perhaps 12pm depending on which Misty fogged timeline you use and 2:30 to 3. But don’t forget, there is a phone call logged on Ron’s phone from Misty around 2:30 am.
Tori, yes he did say “them” I caught that one in the very beginning. Misty also said something like had she been awake she would have stopped “him”. I’m quite sure the FBI profilers caught those also.

Have you ever thought about making a Picture version of that page (a JPG or BMP file), sending it in an e-mail to companies and asking them to temporarily use it as the company background and screen saver for all their computers? So that everyone in that company would see her face everyday for a period, just in case she was in that area. You could start with businesses in Putnam county and move out in a circle.

If they did not, what is up with Misty’s wet blanket washing story and associated improbable details like making up the bed why Jr was sleeping on it?
If Misty dropped any acid over the weekend, it is very possible the effects were still with her. If not acid, but only other drug combinations and alcohol, she probably had one heck of a hangover.

My opinion is that if my child went missing I would be pitching my tent on LE’s doorstep and calling in every missing childs organization and every media person that I can think of. I would be hooked up to the lie detector machine 24/7 if that’s what it took to bring my child home. I would give every dime I had to anybody that was willing to help. BUT that’s JMO because that’s how much I love my child.

Some time ago I read somewhere that a poster from Topix with a s/n of AnnaFla or something like that claimed to be a cousin of the Sheffield family and was calling Picazio for information about the case. When Picazio found out that she was a fake she outed her. AnnaFla’s real name is Joy Drawdy from Gainesville, FL. This Joy Drawdy person was also kicked to the curb from WS. Joy Drawdy got mad and supposedly hired Dominic Casey to go to Satsuma and investigate the case. It is my understanding that AnnaFla aka Joy Drawdy is the one that got the Anthony’s involved by hiring Dominic Casey.
Dcasey is the guy poking the holes… the one who was rumored to be having an affair with Cindy… the one that is really the PI and hired Jim Hoover as a Bodyguard for the Ants… the one that claims he did not know Hoover was going to tape him or that the camera was running… the one who had to go off record to tell the cops something…

I would think that Dominic’s role would be to advance all rumors of Haleigh being alive. Once the non-profit set up is finished, I believe he will begin to circulate rumors of sightings, complete with fuzzy cell phone pics of the backs of girls’ heads at the mall and playgrounds. This will generate intense short term interest in the case, pushing up the demand for Tshirts and bracelets.

Dominic has never admitted why he was looking in the woods. Jim Hoover claims DC said they were going to the woods to pick up a DEAD Caylee.
What is perhaps more interesting is that although DC was the private investigator of both Jose and the Ants and charged with finding Caylee, he never actually looked for Caylee in any way. He did collect tips, which he did not forward to police. He did act on tips, which he did not communicate to the police.
So, if he was the PI looking for Caylee, but he never really looked for Caylee, either dead or alive, except for one time (really 2, he returned the next day, but same site), what was he doing all those months?
It also makes the search of the one site on the ‘tip of a psychic’ all the more unbelievable or even plausible.

Some member of the Sheffield family hired DC ‘officially’. My bet is that KP buddied up with KidFinders over the last few months, got some tips from Dennis Milstead and Michelle Bart, and fired up her operations which are now swinging into phase II - Operation Fliers.
These people watch for opportunity. KP saw it on TV one morning and had probably been following the massive publicity around the Caylee case. KidFinders and Bart zeroed in from day one… remember the G visit?
Does anyone remember the new poster here the other day who said that she runs a business near Haleighbug Headquarters and offered their color copier and paper free for them to make fliers? If that’s true, an investigator (like Cobra or Art or a reporter) could FIND that business and verify that they offered to have the fliers made free. That would put KFN out of business - for now.

I don’t think Ron was getting assistance, the custody court papers state that he has blue cross/blue shield medical insurance for the children, whereas Crystal had medicare.
While Ron was working for PDM they had random drug testing, it was a legal requirement of the PDM’s.

Read the custody papers…..Crystal Sheffield said the reason she wasn’t able to take Haleigh to some of her medical appointments was “I didn’t want to get out of bed”. No way should Crystal ever have custody of either Haleigh or Ron Jr., DCF need to look out for little Chloe also.
I have a copy of the custody papers, but I don’t know how to post them here. I could send them to Jan and I guess she could send them to anyone interested.

What Parents Can Do to Keep Children Safe
ALEXANDRIA, VA - Every year in America an estimated 800,000 children are reported missing, more than 2,000 children each day. Of that number, 200,000 are abducted by family members, and 58,000 are abducted by non-family members. The primary motive for non-family abductions is sexual. Each year 115 children are the victims of the most serious abductions, taken by non-family members and either murdered, held for ransom, or taken with the intent to keep.
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) wants to remind the public that National Missing Children’s Day is May 25, which coincides with the three-day Memorial Day holiday weekend this year. The organization wants parents to know there are things they can do to keep their children safe and it urges parents to take 25 minutes and review the attached safety tips which are a part of NCMEC’s Take 25 national child safety campaign.
“We know teaching children about safety works,” said Ernie Allen, president and CEO of NCMEC. “It is important that parents take the time to talk to their children about safety.”
An analysis of attempted abduction cases by NCMEC found that in 88% of the cases, the child escaped would-be abductors through their own actions, by yelling, kicking, pulling away, running away or attracting attention.
May 25th is the anniversary of the day in 1979 when 6-year-old Etan Patz disappeared from a New York street corner on his way to school and has been observed as National Missing Children’s Day since 1983 when it was first proclaimed by President Ronald Reagan. Etan’s story captivated the nation. His photo, taken by his father, a professional photographer was circulated nationwide and appeared in media across the country and around the world. The powerful image of Etan has come to symbolize the anguish and trauma of thousands of searching families. The search for Etan continues. He is still missing.
This year the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children celebrates its 25th anniversary. It is the leading nonprofit organization dealing with the issues of missing and sexually exploited children. NCMEC has played a role in the recovery of more than 138,500 children. Today more children come home safely than ever before. In 2008, NCMEC helped recover more children than any other year in the organization’s 25-year history, raising the recovery rate from 62% in 1990 to 97% today. And more of those who prey upon children are being identified and prosecuted. Yet too many children are still missing and too many children are still the victims of sexual exploitation. There is much more that needs to be done.

Just some facts on the subject of the Ants. I have just come from youtube where I listened to the police interview with Jesse Grund’s father.It is in five parts and extremely interesting.The level of Cindy’s involvement in lies and fabrications is staggering. She has manipulated George into a huge number of lies and Reverend Grund describes him as totally emasculated. It is worth a listen especially in light of all the most recent facts!

I’ve only read your blog, never posted before. I just wanted to say that I seem to find out more information here than anywhere else. You all seem like very caring people. I too have been trying to keep up with the case. I have been praying for Haleigh and hoping that she is found safe. Just want to add that God forbid something ever happened to anyone in my family, I would certainly want the caring and support you people show.
