So, Jewish Law does not condemn abortion, only some abortion? Gee, why didn't you say that in your original article, unless accuracy was not your intent.

Badly done!

Asking for a verse out of context to prove something is the custom of fundamentalist Christianity.

Catholicism often combines Biblical injunctions with tradition and natural law theory to discuss the nuances of moral issues.

Similarly, there is an ancient historical tradition in Judism that discusses nuances in these things;

proving a point by using a "gotcha" verse is silly: indeed it is worse than silly because it implies the bible as a magic book with pop up answers that does't require thinking or wisdom.

The Torah has a nuanced approach to abortion, only allowing it in cases where the mother's life is in danger, since the fetus is potential life.

<a href="http://www.torah.org/qanda/kbdmp.php?rootid=30" rel="nofollow">LINK</a>

which states:
The Torah speaks in one place (Ex. 21:22-23) about accidental abortion. The Talmud discusses abortion in a few places: Mishnah Arachin 7:1 and Ohalos 7:6; Tosefta Gitin 3:13 and Bava Kama 6:6; Gemara Sanhedrin 72b. The material on the subject in the halachic literature (including the Shulchan Aruch) is widely scattered; extensive references can be found in vol. 2 of the Encyclopedia Hilchasis-Refuis, article on Hapalah, and in the collection Nishmas Avraham (medical halacha, arranged according to the Shulchan Aruch; see the index volume, under "Hapalah".)
Since life begins at conception, abortion isn't permitted even at the early stages of pregnancy. However, it's permitted to kill someone in self-defense. Jewish law therefore permits abortion if carring the child to term would endanger the mother's life..

"Jesus preached to pious Jews in Palestine, and abortion was forbidden under Jewish law, and infanticide was widely condemned by the prophets."

Where in the Torah did it say that abortion is illegal? Please do share actual facts, not opinions.
