Oh, Heart! Pardon the pun, but how else can I say it? My heart goes out to you and to Lucy.
Many a night I’ve spent on the sofa or the kitchen floor even next to a sick pup. It just tears you up inside.
You probably know this already but one thing that can be good and appetizing for sick pups - if the vet okays it - is boiled chicken and cooked rice. Of course boiling the chicken also makes great chicken broth which is very nutritious. So I make some rice, add chicken broth which is easy for them to lap up and then throw on bits of the chicken (deboned of course). When they were really weak I hand fed them. Bless her heart - and yours. I’ll keep praying she recovers. And praying for you to have strength and not risk your own health.

Cooking for Lucy now, it’s 12:20AM. She wants me near her all the time. She cries, so I sit on the sofa right beside her bed. She is good tho. Major surgery like that, at age 77 or more? Infection, so taking antibiotics and pain pills.

What a great line up for the show tomorrow! Got my Google Alert. I will
listen and call IF I have anything intelligent to say/ask. Pretty upset here with Lucy and hubby.

PICKS know the names of any good Rest Homes around here? I NEED ONE! Probably cost an arm and a leg… and then there’s hubby too. Oh well - nice thought for a minute. ‘nite all

Summer MacLean said she found the 5-foot-long cross on her front lawn last weekend.

Her 13-year-old son, Isaiah Cavanagh, told the Corvallis Gazette-Times it appears somebody wrapped an old sheet around the wood cross and set it afire.

MacLean said she moved from Corvallis to the countryside in Oregon’s Coast Range about a year ago to provide a nice place and good school for her son.

A man who was found guilty of shooting and killing a police dog in 2007 was sentenced Friday to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Police said that in October 2007 Ronald Chenette was armed with a handgun and hiding in heavy brush while SWAT teams and K-9 units searched for him. Officers said Chenette killed a police dog named Dakota with a single shot to the head before being taken down by a second dog.

During the court case, Chenette told the judge he wished he’d killed the second dog.

Police were searching for Chenette because he had been seen walking in the area with a gun, and when officers tried to approach him he pointed the gun at them and ran off.

reading earlier posts..i take medication on a dailey basis after my car accedents..i keep it locked in a safe always, you always hear about kids getting high with parents pills…i told my daughter 1 of mine would kill her ive been taking them for a few yrs so she knows never to touch them…she even questions tylenol and doesnt want anything unless she is really hurting/sick..people need to take percautions with meds.

Hi pickles!
Sorry I fell off earlier, we were having storms and the power went out….bout the time hubby got the cords from the generator hooked up,it came back on lol! tried to cook dinner for an hour but the power was cutting on and off at first for an hour or so then it went out for good. back up now tho so all is good!
