How is an investigation thorough when the police and any other investigators only talk to one side? By anyone’s definition, I don’t see how that could be considered thorough.

Also, this same newspaper reporter told Jan and Simon herself that the newspaper needed to stay in the good graces of the police. It was not Connie that told them that. Jan and Simon have stated that more than once on these blogs they were told that directly by this newspaper and yesterday after the article printed, Simon said it was this same reporter that said it to him and Jan.

As far as Connie being held accountable to the full extent of the law, I’ve seen many people on here who are in full support of her saying that exact same thing. If this does prove to be false allegations then they are saying they will lead the charge to get her up on charges.

I will agree with those that have posted their preference that the accused be called that or alleged pedophile or abuser. He has not been convicted of anything yet. But then again, neither has anyone in the Anthony case or the Cantu case yet alleged is not used with them either. Granted a lot of evidence has been released due to the sunshine law in Florida as it relates to the Anthony case but very little evidence has been released on the Cantu case. I’ll probably take some flack for that but that’s how I feel about it.

I think Connie or someone in that camp led the path for that already. Saying the media needed to keep the police happy, or something like that. I can’t believe no one can see the path laid out to explain the lies before more and more information comes out to prove this is a hoax.

We wondered how Connie came up with a lawyer. I mean one minute she was facing it without representation and the next thing the family says is she was represented.

Is this attorney a really good one? I only ask because so far she is still on the defensive, and then she was denied her scheduled visitation yesterday. Her attorney needs to take care of this yesterday.

Those people have gotten by with so much, they think they are entitled to bend or even break the law.

This attorney isn’t just fighting the father, the whole system is part of this battle. Connie’s constitutional rights have been and are still being violated and that needs to stop as well.

I am not just being nosey, I am so vested in this case, if is affecting my daily existance. I just want Aaliyah safe. Actually that is not really true.

I won’t rest and stop fighting this fight until Aaliyah is safely back in the arms of her mother. Connie lost her rights because she was fighting a corrupt system. She was fighting for the safety and even the life of her child. She is the BEST kind of mother. She did NOTHING wrong, if she knew her child was being violated and said nothing, she could actually go to jail. She spoke up and has been punished at every turn.

I can see Aaliyah going into protective custody today, but, a force of investigators need to be assigned to this case and turn it every way but loose. A judge needs to give those people a SHORT time limit to verify the allegations. Then Aaliyah needs to go home to her momma, back in momma’s arms. This child has been damaged badly and NOBODY can comfort her and give her the security she needs, like her own mother can. We need to understand, it is about what is best for this child. In the best interest of this child, in the hope that Aaliyah can recover from her nightmares, this baby girl NEEDS her MOTHER. Yes the mom needs the child but more importantly Aaliyah NEEDS HER MOTHER’S LOVE AND SECURITY. There is nobody on this planet that can expedite Aaliyah’s recovery as fast and complete as Connie. A mother’s love can heal almost anything. Connie has been away from Aaliyah far to long already.

Joey is correct. This story is captivating. I’m a stranger 2000 miles away. I have gone through the circle of emotions praying and aching for this little girl. I am glad the story is getting the attention the family was pleading for.

I agree that when Aaliyah is older she will feel that people “knowing her story” is a samll price to pay to be free from her “father”. People who truly care about her well being recognize the fact that using her name and pictures has not been an easy thing for the family to do but it is necessary.

Let’s place blame where it belongs!! Let clarity of the situation dictate the actions. Spell it out for us how it should have been done in the same circumstances.

I may sound like a broken record but I will say it one last time, if there is a grain of truth in this story and we believe there is, it deserves to be investigated. Using the child’s name was necessary to get the story out so they could get help. I am pretty certain that IF the child lives to become an adult she would likely thank everyone for saving her life

I love the way you blame mom for everything. Not ONE word against the father abusing this child. It is this kind of thinking that has allowed children to be abused and women to endure rape throughout history. Why does it matter how Bubba got this story? He has it and is putting scores of HIGH level doctors and investigators on it. All we say is we want the truth, if he has the connections to get to the truth, why does it matter?

When the messanger garners more attention than the message, there may be a problem.

As far as Number One is concerned it’s not an issue for me. Yes we do need to investigate this to help protect her.

But Number two is debatable in some ways. Normally the photo and name of an abused child is kept out of the press because they are a juvenile. However in this case Aalaiyah’s photo is on the web in several places I understand and her name is widely known because of all the info her mom and family and supporters have published for a long time now.

Unfortunately it’s probably too late to go back. What’s done is done and the info is out there. Could Connie have gotten this far without publishing photos or using Aaliayah’s real name? Possibly. I don’t know. It would have been better for Aaliayah in some ways. I just don’t know. But I do understand some people being sensitive to the fact that this child’s privacy is gone. It would have been great if this much could have been achieved without sacrificing that. But it’s too late now I guess.

What happened this morning that has you so upset? The radio show perhaps? The world looking at Placer county, how can that be bad?

Your name tells me you have one child. What if someone were sexually abusing YOUR child? What if it were the other parent and nobody would listen to you? How would you stop the abuse of your child? How is the mother’s efforts to STOP this abuse in any way unfit? If she knows about it and does nothing, then people would be coming out of the woodwork at her.

When a father abusing a child physically and the child ends up hospitalized, the first thing EVERYBODY asks is where was the mother? How is this different because the abuse is sexual and BTW, a less published fact but still true, is the fact Aaliyah is also being physically abused. Bruises are documented but that abuse has taken a back seat to the sex abuse.

For 2 years this mother has tried to do this in the courts and nobody will listen. The garbage about this mom just wanting to keep the kid from dad, don’t fly either. She was in Alaska and went back to CA so Aaliyah could spend time with her father. She had the courts word, Aaliyah would be protected. NONE of that turned out.

It would seem normal to me for a judge to uphold a previous judge’s ruling, at least temporarily, until they do have time to review all the files and case history. I can’t imagine the new judge has had sufficient time to do a thorough review of everything yet.
